Probably one of the most underrated tanks I’ve ever played in my 9 years with WoT … low DPM, but everything else is pretty darn good. Good mobility, good view range, DISGUSTING camo for a medium tank - I almost play this tank like it’s a tank destroyer. I just think it looks cool, too.
My first tank I received a mark of excellence! I found this to be a fun brawler with a good gun and was surprisingly good in a series of situations. This thing will always have a special place in my heart.
If I remember this tank and the T-34-1 both have higher win rates for tier 7 tech tree mediums. The guns of the 2 tanks probably have a decent contribution to it
Absolutely. Their guns on those platforms remain good in T9 battles. You're able to get into positions to make the guns work consistently. Comet can flank well, but the pen isn't enough to reliably penetrate strong side armor of too many T9s. I love up-gunned mediums and both are a real treat for medium fans.
I used to have 5.2-5.4k dmg games in my Panther 1 and T34-1. T-34-1 had an absolutely epic turret and worked miracles against even t9 heavies if side hugged lol. That was 6-7 years ago.
@@nikola12nis Panther and T-34-1 are still extremaly fun, but I absolutely hate T20. The gun never seems to work for me, I miss the easiest of shots. T-34-1 with slightly worse gun handling allows you to IMO take better close positions because of it's strong turret and a bit better camo.
Exactly. It is very enjoyable to play with. The lack of APM is frustrating when you outplay enemy by for example flanking them with your mobility and gun handling, but you still can't farm them and dominate, ending up with average but consistent results every time.
The T20 was my first tier 7, and I hated it too - but not for the reasons QB mentions. At the time, I didn't really bother to educate myself on how to play the game well; instead I relied on my general knowledge of tanks in real life and on the only two games featuring tanks that I had played before - Medal of Honor: European Assault. In that game, you don't get to drive tanks, but you do have to take out several Panzer IV H's and Tiger II's using Bazookas. I noticed that the coaxial machine gun port seemed to be a weak spot. So, brilliant mind that I was, I took that knowledge into World of Tanks... and aimed for the gun mantlets. I also knew that the T20 was the predecessor of the Pershing, and I thought of the Pershing as a heavy rather than a medium, so I drove my T20 right into the heavy lanes expecting to do reasonably well. Imagine my surprise when I couldn't penetrate the enemies' gun mantlets and my armor didn't count for shit! Sadly, it took until a similar experience with the Pershing in Tier 8 that I realized I should probably start learning the game mechanics a bit more. I sold the T20 years ago when I needed garage spaces. Now that I have more garage spaces than I know what to do with, I should probably give it a try again.
I just 3 marked the t20 and i barely used the combat build i 3 marked it with optics optics and an exhaust Basically thia tank is a pseudo lt with it's camo ans view range
I like this tank so much that I went and bought it as a premium in war thunder. As for world of tanks though. I have a 60% win rate over like 100 something battles and I still have not Three marked it but I'm working on it
Back in the day, I remember taking the T20 into tier 10 matches, having people upset with my platoon, then doing more damage then they did. It was epic. I did that trying to get the old mission done of killing 2 tanks that are 2 tiers higher (I think that was it). Great tank!
this tank is the best example of balanced, competitive but boring Every time I played this thing, although I can expect a good result, every thing about its gameplay is mundane and predictable. The opposite end is Leopard (light tank) with 3cm. It's not very versatile, heavily depends on the map and team. But I still can expect a fun game out of it, even if the things didn't line up. I think more tank should lean towards the second type for the good of the game.
Went back to the Chi-Ri and have enjoyed it a lot more now. It takes a lot of game understanding to make it work well, but it's super satisfying when you do
I should try the T20 again I never really found it as an exciting tank and I've always love the comet and I even put my QB commander in it. But I am always looking for fun tanks to play and I would agree on what you said about the T20. Nice game too.
I loved the T20 when I was going up that line, and had issues with Comet which felt like a slow Cromwell to me. Probably need to go back and play it more.
I actually LOVED my T-20. Of course this was back in the day when you have like 5 arty in every game and I used this thing to hunt them. It was a blast!
this was my first t7 tank, when meds only went to 9, and it truly is kind of a sign of its age, but man back in the day before everyone was slinging gold every other shot, this and the pershing at t8 not only could you have massive damage games, you would bounce shells like crazy. and man the patton was scary, but it all started here. even back in beta this was the tank i played the most, because back then there was no tank like it, it could zoom around the battlefield faster than any tank its tier and just hit and run like crazy.
I have a real soft spot for the T20. Not only is the first tank I 2 marked. But I also earned it's 1st mark in just 79 matches. For some reason it just fit my playstyle like a glove. Came within .5% of 3 marking it 4 times, but always 'tilted' back under 90%. Still pull it out a few times a week. 1500 + battles in it now and still holding @ 60% wr. It's my go to tank to break a losing streak.
It feels generic but it plays very well. But that's completely dependent on having the 90mm gun, so make sure you prioritize that. Good luck and have fun.
I recently went back to playing the Dicker Max with good equipmet a vey skilled crew and have some crazy games using it's depression to get shots off over ridges. Nearly all my trees are Tier 10 and I hate tier 10 games, they just cost me credits. Going to give this a try. I still love my T29, I kept that in my garage.
the T21 was my first t6 back in the days, felt so good :) the t57 line is so special bc you move from light to med to heavy, still one of the best tX tanks
I have recently been very much enjoying AMX 48 MLE (french tier 8 TD). For when i'm feeling lazy and wanting to snipe, and watch youtube or whatever at the same time. 3 shot burst clip is fun then you can spend the reload doing other things irl or relocating with its speed.
I didn't like this tank until full build and gave up on the deep gun. The deep gun was such a trap, shell velocity meant hitting a target was a traps shoot
Ty for asking and yes! I actually played hilarious game in KV5. if u could see it u would probably tell that, this one could be your favorite. it is really tense and I want to share it with you somehow. I play from beta and watching u from your beginning, coz I also have older brother who introduced me in wot, and I wanted to impress him. so u was full of knowledge and have sucha a pleasant accent and smooth voice, and u teached me alot. I kinda find u in my friends list XD thats why I want to share it with you
I love playing medium tanks and I heard your takes on this one over the years. I'm mostly casual and love the Comet and T-34-1. The Panther was okay for me, but not quite the right fit. Given my limited time, I never pushed the American line. Within the last year I started playing the T20 and this tank is a gem for medium players. Mobility, Vision, Camo, Alpha, and Pen it just works. It trades well and it's a nightmare on the flanks. If you like to play aggressively, this tank is a dream. It's basically a LT with a strong enough turret and a great MT gun or a bad HT gun. One thing mid tiers need is a gun that can compete against higher tiers. You either need the ability to compete front on or a tank that can get into crossfire positions safely. This tank has all that and more. PS. I love the T7 video idea. I love T7 so much and those tanks are wildly underrated in terms of MM.
Your take on the T20 is spot on! I'd say that its DPM is the tank's balancing factor, since if it also had strong DPM it would pretty much be a tier 7 Leopard. And given how the Leo is by far the best T10 tech tree med, I wouldn't want to disrupt the only balanced tier in the game with a similar tank.
Tier 7 is really enjoyable tier, i am a weekend player( noob) and right now grinding t29 and i have the italian td, both are really strong for their tier and really fun to play for me even in bottom tier games
great game quicky awesome man .cool to still see great games in wot 07.i might give it a swing, still in love with wot for 12 years straight even tho the atrocious matchmaker we have at times
One of the most 'balanced' tanks in WoT. It has wrought iron armour so everything from 30mm pens it easily from the front. The turret gives the odd bounces now and again but nothing to depend on, Its reload time is excruciating but it makes up its weaknesses in other ways. It is quite a speedy tank and its low profile helps out a lot, its 90mm gun can be a terror against lower tiered vehicles. It's a very good support tank, not a front line brawler.
Thanks Video ! Always liked the T20 :) I remember when I started playing in 2016 that (T67 td) was the End all Be all td seemed like ALL The Seal Clubbers Played that tank back then... was very painful to be new to the game and facing that TD :( Now days I hardly ever see it anymore ? Can't remember if it was nerfed once or twice But its just not played that often now days..
Hey, anyone got tips for old player trying to get back? I tried playing again a few year back and the new system making me harder to compete with regular players (difference in stats), I ended up playing only SPG and quit after few games. Looking at it now is it even possible for new player to compete without spending a quite amount of money?
I liked the T20 more then i liked the comet. The comet has a lot more exposure time. Also the high rate of fire decreases the camo while constantly firing.
Ironically for me, it was the other way around. I loved the T20 the first time I played it and absolutely hated the Comet. I learned to like the Comet after watching some QB videos on it but for me, the T20 was always a solid tank choice.
Funny that you enjoy tier 7 because tier 7 to me is the most boring and miserable tier to play. None of the tanks have the special mechanics that the 8, 9, and 10 often have. You are constantly uptiered because of how many people are playing their OP tier 8 premiums and even tier 9 premiums now. The vehicles are just so stale and easy to get farmed in.
I remember back in the day, I got this tank and its was my absolute favorite tank. In 2015 i play this tank like 1000 battle and stop playing with this tank in the same year, today I dont have any tank with +1000 battle, my favorite and my firts tank to get 3rd MoE (I play with +180 ping)
It's great in multiple aspects. It's very maneuverable with great camo and has a great gun for trading and ambushes. This tank excels at the fire and pull back strategy which makes it very strong in capable hands. Tier for tier, It's one of the best for ambushes and trading. And you don't fall into the Comet trap of wanting to get multiple shots in and leaving yourself overexposed for too long. You know your reload sucks so you get safe and then find another shot rather than finding another shot and getting safe. Low alpha guns are a trap.
Hehehe I watched this live. I remember the Twitch version of QB's reaction to that AMX ;) Great video QB. So happy to see the T20 getting some appreciation. I have always enjoyed this vehicle!
My first tank which I played a lot was a Thunderbolt. For some reason I always do exceptionally far better in it than in any other tank. Then after some time I played Shermans. I seen them as ridge warriors, using gun depression to compensate for their lack of armor with amazing gun handling. T20 comes afterwards and I naturally had seen just more of the Sherman playstyle, but pea shooter of Sherman was replaced with a punchy gun and overall far better hull. High DPM is useless for a ridge tank, because you have all the time in the world to reload your shot. If you have high DPM gun, you kinda voiding your only advantage by going over the ridge and just sitting and trading there. I think you were spoiled back then by all the tanks since you only see them as statistics. I can see this sweatlord in you. You are top tier = decent match for this tank. Like wtf? You are spamming gold with glass cannon in top tier tank while telling how we should all put bond equipment and premium food in it. I prescribe you to touch some grass. I on the other hand had all the advantages of a newbie and enjoyed playing it for what it was.
I like the eagle 7, but it’s just so slow for me… And the camo feels way worse. Tbf, it does have a better turret though, and better dpm I think, so I guess it equals out.
Have to fire alot more gold in comet to succeed today. Sometimes you can find yourself in situations where the tank is completely overmatched and success or failure depends on teammates. I prefer not to be reliant on short people that hide in bushes on the edge of the map. Passive players (most TDs), like operator of the AMX 57 in this video are responsible for most match losses. However, passive (bad) players are also necessary for you to achieve the M round. In this instance, the t20 would have lost 1/2 his damage and kills had the amx been a hard charger.
Before the new equipment, grinding the bc12t at tier 8 was god awfully boring. Terrible base dmg and I had to suffer to unlock 3 lines without blueprints 😢
Quickybaby talking about his horror tank the sturer Emil. And look who was the top player on the enemy team: st.Emil T20 is a nice gem across the American medium tank line. I hope you will make the video about the tier 7 matchmaking. On the NAserver it was the best tier for 3-4 years. But now you get 50% tier 8 games, 30% tier 9 games, more then 15% tier 6-7 games and very rarely you will meet tier 5 tanks.
Tier VII is the worst tier. Constantly uptiered against OP tier VIII tanks with insane crews and jacked equipment. Tier V battles happen like once per day max. Have fun getting out spotted by tier VIII medium tanks with CVS in your tier VII light tank. Truly hot garbage. I am very surprised QB is loving it.
I hated the comet. I started playing wot duiring the time the centurion line came in to the game and it was jingles that inspired me to start down that line. I got to comet and was always meeting is3 in every game and with no gold ammo i may as well have met a 279e. I hated the comet and i still prefer the panther. I quit playing british mediums soon after the realisation of how painful a stock centurion was. Wen and played t29 and it was a beast compared to anything else, still is. I have how ever after several buffs learned to love centurions but is still dont like comet. Its just a slower cromwell and tier higher.
Yes the T-20 is a very good tank precisely of the reasons stated, but no love for T-21 also? I find that tank also very good in its own terms yet it is very underrated and hardly anyone talks about it
I really this tank, mainly when I play BZ-176. It's one of those tanks, which you really want to get against you. Nah, just joking, i don't have BZ at all. Anyway great tier VII, from mediums def top 3 for me altogether with cs-44 and panther. 😊
It is crazy, that this kind of tank can easily meet BZ 176 almost every game
Google translate thinks you're not speaking english lol@republicoftexas3261
Just type "Nerf BZ-176 please" on the search bar and you got your answer >l:)
Buff BZ-175 and Chieftan @@AetherYes
You didn't need that comma
It will be borrasaques because there’s 3x as many as bz. Which are just as bad

I just think it looks cool, too.
camo is probably good because it's very hard to identify T20 medium and T21 light tank from each other.
It's really funny that we have a medum that has more camo on the move than most of its same tier counterparts while stationary 🤣
My first tank I received a mark of excellence! I found this to be a fun brawler with a good gun and was surprisingly good in a series of situations. This thing will always have a special place in my heart.

One of my favourite tanks, used to regularly do a platoon with my mate with him in his comet, me in my T20, best of both worlds!!
Gets one shot by Bz 176*
Yes. Very fun tank. 100% recommend.
O-HO: So you have chosen death ?
Type nerf bz 176 on the search bar >l:)
This tanks only weakness imo is the dpm, asides from that it’s great not counting the armour
Exactly. It is very enjoyable to play with. The lack of APM is frustrating when you outplay enemy by for example flanking them with your mobility and gun handling, but you still can't farm them and dominate, ending up with average but consistent results every time.
It's not a heavy tank, but the turret armor is ok, especially when peeking over a ridgeline, I have multiple steel wall medals with it.
The T20 was the only tank I managed to pull off 10 kills in. I enjoyed playing it.
Tied with the 130PM at 9 kills. Haven't gotten a Pool's medal yet, but those two tanks got close
Really enjoyed the T20 back in the day, glad to see its still doing okay
I had a long learning curve, at first struggled a lot. But later when we had some times together I've started to love it.
Me too. It was my first 2nd MOE I ever had, before I understood what MOE was all about. I haven't even sold it yet because of how much I liked it.
I just 3 marked the t20 and i barely used the combat build i 3 marked it with optics optics and an exhaust
Basically thia tank is a pseudo lt with it's camo ans view range
The CS-44 is similar to the T-20 but with better armor and it performs better than its stats would suggest.

I love The Comet too but the T20 I have always had good games in. The Comet back in the day I found out I was running out of ammo often in long games.
Went back to the Chi-Ri and have enjoyed it a lot more now. It takes a lot of game understanding to make it work well, but it's super satisfying when you do
I love the Chi-Ri, 3 marked it on pc and console

The T20 was a blast to play back in the day and it's baby brother the T21 was even MORE fun to play as a flanking tank.

You know your reload sucks so you get safe and then find another shot rather than finding another shot and getting safe. Low alpha guns are a trap.
Hehehe I watched this live. I remember the Twitch version of QB's reaction to that AMX ;)
Great video QB. So happy to see the T20 getting some appreciation. I have always enjoyed this vehicle!
my fav tank in this game, the first one that i put 100% moe on it..
I play mine on Xbox with 9 skilled commander . All the camo skills. I passive scout better than most lights, but can pack a mean punch
If the 76mm guns had abit better pen than the horrible 128mm, you could use them to increase the DPM of the t20 to great levels.
When was the last time we saw a FB video of QB just having fun in the Comet. 🤔🤔🤔
I love T20 and every other tank in the line as well including M3 Lee, but that was before WoT goes batshit fantasy though.
I prefer the eagle 7 to this one but loved the t20 when playing it
I like the eagle 7, but it’s just so slow for me… And the camo feels way worse.
Tbf, it does have a better turret though, and better dpm I think, so I guess it equals out.
@@regal_eagle717 one word TURBO
Have to fire alot more gold in comet to succeed today. Sometimes you can find yourself in situations where the tank is completely overmatched and success or failure depends on teammates. I prefer not to be reliant on short people that hide in bushes on the edge of the map. Passive players (most TDs), like operator of the AMX 57 in this video are responsible for most match losses. However, passive (bad) players are also necessary for you to achieve the M round. In this instance, the t20 would have lost 1/2 his damage and kills had the amx been a hard charger.
Hey QB have you tried out the cold war tanks and vehicles on WOT console!? Cold war matches are on another lvl!
Imagine the vehicles start at teir 8 - 10 and only go up from there
I always prefered . t20 over the comet... it is one of the my best performing tier 7 tank..
you are a true warrior
Before the new equipment, grinding the bc12t at tier 8 was god awfully boring. Terrible base dmg and I had to suffer to unlock 3 lines without blueprints 😢
Guys whats the deal with the cromwell, it's nowhere near as popular as it used to be. Did it get nerfed somewhere down the line?
I really don't like the T20. Maybe I'll give it another shot.
Did anyone else hear "...and let me know what you think about the T20 in the Comets down below." ?
Aim time is the only downside to the T-20
Tier 7 is fun when you play vs tier 6,7 and maybe 8 but meating tier 9 is painfull.
I've always loved the t20 for its flexibility but I don't like getting slapped by literally everything else 😂😂
T20 my preferred T VII med; 140 Games and 63% WR (which is great for me)
Quickybaby talking about his horror tank the sturer Emil. And look who was the top player on the enemy team: st.Emil
T20 is a nice gem across the American medium tank line. I hope you will make the video about the tier 7 matchmaking. On the NAserver it was the best tier for 3-4 years. But now you get 50% tier 8 games, 30% tier 9 games, more then 15% tier 6-7 games and very rarely you will meet tier 5 tanks.
It's just you won't pen most of the tanks in the Comet unless you're top tier or spam gold like there's no tomorrow.
Its time for a new comet video QB
I second that.
That nine seconds reload time really put me off the T20. It sure has a few good sides but reload isn"t one of them.
The T20 has aways been amazing
T20 is better than Comet
Ah the T20 one of my favorite tanks to play
SHAA BOOVNII YSEE 😂😂😂 LALAR
10 kills in exactly 10 minutes?!
Yes the T-20 is a very good tank precisely of the reasons stated, but no love for T-21 also? I find that tank also very good in its own terms yet it is very underrated and hardly anyone talks about it
Quickybaby doing clickbait. I would have never thought Quickybaby would stoop that low.
"Stale high tiers gameplay." Yep, that's WOT lately.
I really this tank, mainly when I play BZ-176. It's one of those tanks, which you really want to get against you. Nah, just joking, i don't have BZ at all. Anyway great tier VII, from mediums def top 3 for me altogether with cs-44 and panther. 😊
