Type 5 needa the gun it was made to use to work again.
The Type 5 just needs a new gun with monster alpha, like 850-900. With decent AP and HEAT rounds this tank would be fun (now it's fun only when you get tier 8 enemies). While making the armor better is hopless, giving it a monster gun would do the trick. People would kill it just as easily as before but the Type 5 could punish them and could effectively trade.
Would make it a completely braindead tank though lol, we don't need more tanks in the heavy lane with unbeatable alpha amounts
That being said, it should probably be boosted up to match 60TP, because there's legitimately 0 reason to play the Type 5 Heavy over it

Lmao on console the type 5 has he rounds standard on the derp gun with LITERAL 330 heat rounds for 700 or 750 alpha. It’s an incredibly fun tank to play cuz he isn’t nerfed

Imagine, tier 8 bz176 has overall better armour, derp gun is directly better with 225mm of pen instead of 192mm. Has rockets and is faster, has 10 degrees of gun depression with no weakspots.
Bz-176 is effectively a tier 10 that's why, buff its HP to 2200 and call it a tier 10 and it will be a balanced tank

Once upon a time, at the beginning, WOT was a good game. Maybe the graphics were worse, there were some bugs and a few unbalanced tanks, but in principle it was a fair game and the outcome of the game depended on the skill of the player. Now, the situation is completely different. Since the introduction of gold ammunition, everything has gone from bad to worse. I know there was gold ammunition before, but it was paid for with real money, so it was rarely used. Then came OP premium tanks, food and directives. They significantly increased RNG and destroyed HE ammo to force you to use gold ammo. So now we have a poor pay to win RNG game where player skill is minimized.
Idk man, I've been playing for 10 years off and on. Been grinding since Christmas bonuses, I have gotten the 60tp and the mino since then. I think the game is better for grinding. Do you know how long it used to take to get to tier 10?? Without 4 x3 xp bonuses?? As a free to play player, I had over 500 games in the t-44, crazy! Sure gold rounds and all these bonuses are a pain. But it depends on your goals in game. You can play for free, but this game is built around kitting your tank to the max, and that costs real money. If that's not your thing, just have fun, don't expect to carry as hard as people who pump money into it. Also these players are not making much credits after battles due to all the stuff they used, and they probably don't win that much more. So really they are losing out.
Yes, you are right, now it is much easier to open new tanks. I've been playing WOT since closed beta in 2010 and beyond. Fast progression is not really a good thing because players don't learn to play properly. I am a completely free to play player, I never use gold ammo or any of the premium variants. I can tell you that it is no fun at all to play the target of pay to win players.@@DeDREWS1F
I really agree with you in most points, but not with the gold ammo. I really appreciate it that it is available for credits now. Otherwise it would create an even bigger gap between f2p and p2w players, because some tanks are simply unpennable without gold. And if you use it wisely, even f2p players can afford it (as you just saw in this video). Just don't spam it against paper tanks like Skorpion, WT Pz IV and the like and you will be fine. Furthermore over the years WG gave several tier VI and VII (even tier VIII at some point) prem tanks away as well several premium days if you bother participating in the different events over the year which gives you good options in earning credits.
But yea the HE nerf bothers me still to this day, it was really a heavy cut for all f2p players, not gonna lie :(
Before the introduction of gold ammo for money in the game I can't remember seeing anyone using that ammo in random games so the difference between those who paid and those who didn't was non existent. The main advantage of those who paid was the bonus to experience and money in the game and some other things of a cosmetic nature which meant that there was nothing that would give any significant advantage to one player over another. Now when all those premium variants are included, the difference is huge. Second when they released the game they promised that there wouldn't be any premium stuff that would give an unfair advantage which turned out to be a big lie. Yes, there are tanks that can only be penetrated by gold ammunition, but that only appeared with the appearance of that ammunition and it is not necessary to explain why.@@Jonas-sg9uq
hey qb, the reason 60tp can pen s conq turret is the s conq has 50.8mm of armor on its roof.
152.4 mm is not >x3 50.8 mm it's equal to. There's a rounding error involved, hard to explain.
if the s conq had 50.7mm, the 60tp can overmatch. its most certainly either a bug or an oversight by WG.
15cm E 100 gun can't overmatch a 50mm plate, its the same math as 60tp vs s conq armour
Had a game with the Type 5 where i blocked almost 12k dmg againt tier 8s to 10, E3 camped me so hard and kept bouncing lol
Type 5 was never OP, but it could influence a games outcome, now it's just a big slow tank with a punchless gun most often. This was a rare game of good game play and great RNG, well done.
I quit when they nerfed the he on the type 5. Just got back into playing in the last 2 weeks. Got to load the gold on the 14cm to be remotely competitive.

I had a crazy game in my E25 with 5200 dmg, pools medal, 2078 base xp and a 1vs3 with literally 3 hp, but unfortunately I didnt have my replays on. Maybe it would have been good enough to be featured on the channel

Idk, i actually like the type 5 where its at spec wise. As far as reload, it does feel fairly sluggish, but if you expect to not get hit with premo rounds at tier x youre kidding yourself. To make it more resistant to premos would make it impenetrable to tier VIII, which makes the game even more imbalanced.
Still not sure why they made the 3d skin for this Australian, and not give it something more Japanese styled, saving the Aussie one for a UK tank instead.

The Type 4 Heavy was my favorite tank until they nerfed the HE. Now, just like the Type 5 it has become mediocre and no longer any fun. The AP rounds have poor pen and is useless against tier 10s. Even the BZ 176 has a better gun. WG should just remove these tanks from the tech tree and don’t make players waste their time grinding them and be disappointed in the end.

Recently i was playing a game named Sea of conquest and its awfull! The worst pay to win ever, you have no chance at all against those who pay, and they bully you, dont giving a chance to stay in the game. Thats the main issue you should watch before paying, before commit to a new online game

I am the commander, and I was 'spamming' gold only because that was the only way to pen vk 45 to the lower plate, and if I shot other tanks with gold it was because it was meant to be for VK 45

I guarantee that you won't have it that way!! and it will be the opposite on mil. % and besides... don't buy premium or premium tanks!!! it's useless anyway, the server determines the damage,,..determines victory and defeat .. If you upload min Damage to the opponent, the server will automatically flip and give Victory/ if High damage to the opponent - it is automatically Defeat.. You have a tank of 8 levels and you are approximately at the bottom of the team or on the bottom team composition, stacked from level 10 = It's automatically a win because you have no chance to shoot down Level 10 that is: min. damage = victory.!!! If you are on the highest rungs in the lineup, e.g. team level 8 to level 6 , Automatically = high damage to the opponent and you automatically = Defeat!! Server. BLOCKS....visibility, enemy detections, opponent damage, you can just do whatever you want :D !! it's wasted money!! You actually have more losses than wins in the game!! Ask yourself another question.. how many times have you recorded what you see here? (it's easy to play if you're an admin with a good game mode!), and this thieving company gives replays like this every day ... they're just lying to you and fooling you it's a great game, waiting for you to adjust the game mode to the minimum so that you can put real money into it!! Also, the general comments on the tanks are good, but then half of the game isn't commented on. just my feeling here but i don't see the point of seeing a commented game in which half of it isn't commented. but that's debatable.

This guy missed like 5 shots because he wasn't using a rammer and thus wasn't reloaded in time.
But the vents provided him better accuracy and dispersion values, resulting in hitting the targets more reliably. Also they improve ground resistance and view range as well. For these reasons I would prefer the vents over the gun rammer as well (regarding the Type 5 Heavy).
Ofcourse everyone can play how they want, but sometimes there are good reason for using a certain set of equipment. Just use what you think matches your playstyle the best, there's more than just one way to achieve good results.

They should buff both guns.
For the 140mm gun, they should make it be a bit more snappy (dispersion on the move, turret trav, and hull traverse all decreased by 10% or so). They should also buff the DPM. Then, Type would have mediocre armor (since gold shreds it) but it would have a fairly good gun. I would also increase the penetration of all rounds slightly.
Reload: 16.4s to 15.4s
Standard AP: 257mm to 267mm
Premium AP: 290mm to 300mm
HE: 75mm to 90mm
For the 152mm gun, they should buff the HE pen from 192mm to 220mm. However, they should also nerf the alpha damage from 900 to 800 to balance it. For the standard HE, buff the HE pen from 75mm to 152mm. However, the standard HE should get 1000 alpha. Lastly, increase the AP penetration from 252 to 272.
Standard HE: 152mm pen, 1000 dmg
Premium HE: 220mm pen, 800 dmg
AP: 272mm pen, 680 dmg
This would fix it IMO. Both guns would be significantly more competitive, making up for the lackluster armor that the Type has. Currently it's extremely weak unless toptier, and even then, a Maus is still much stronger due to more reliable armor and much better gun. The buffs I proposed would not make the Type OP IMO, but just more competitive.

They probably forgot where to shoot the type 5 with HEATs, either way the mm gave him a favor by blessing him with T8s to farm

in case yall were wondering why the world of tanks blitz devs created the type 71 line instead of porting the type 5 one, they admitted that balancing that line would be nearly impossible

It wouldnt be impossible to balance, blitz devs are just idiots, they nuked the type 71 for example so that it requires the improved terrain resistance to NOT be slower than an e100 with less mass, as it stands the gun traversal equipment is completely nonviable

I stopped playing WoT before I get any tier 10. But I remember how I play the tier 6 O-I to relief some stress with the derp gun. I was a filthy derp gun enjoyer with my O-I, Pz IV H, and Hetzer back in the day. So when they nerf HE, I decided that I will never return.
I got pummeled with HEAT when i tried the maus, 0 damage blocked

You can also trade due to superior HP. I'm no master Maus player but some really good streamers (Cygan from pl for example) make it work.
@@radouanemegherbi3499 It takes a decent amount of angleing practice and experience to make it work, but once you get it it does wonders. Also cant look at your opponents or theyll cut through your turret face

Having the premium fire extinguisher on a tank with a weak ammo rack is smart - the latent fire protection of the premium consumable means less chance of detonation. I use the premium first aid kit and repair kit for their latent protection, but a standard extinguisher because sometimes burning is preferred to spending 20k credits in a losing match.
Nay. Consumables fix only stuff that is already broken. You ammo rack from a ammo rack hits. You burn from damaged engine or fuel tank.
A damaged module has simply a higher chance for a critical event.
Fire extinguishers pile up in your storage as they onky get used when you are on fire. Large rep kits being pulled for track repair is more costly. It wastes 10K for what can be done by a 1K kit.
It's either fire extinguisher or food.
Only some durability modules and crew skills like safe storage gunner skill do help prevent ammo explosion events.

im doubting you even play world of tanks. first aid kit only fixes the dead crew, the repair kit fixes modules and gives you a tad bit better repair speed when choosing the premium variant and the fire extinguisher does nothing except put out fires. the only thinng that can save the type 5 heavies ammorack is the experimental hardening if you care about hp as well as that increases module durability

Excuse me, but we need to have a talk about the Type 5 here. The Type 5 could use some buffs no doubt, but this tank isn't as bad as people make it out to be. I've taken the Type 5 into the most hellish, and brutal environment possible; Onslaught, and succeeded. In the first season of Onslaught I finished with 199 battles in the Type 5 and a 59% WR (117 W to 82L). I used the Type 5, in addition to my other tanks, all the way into Silver, and Gold. Players just need to be more confident with this thing, and stop worrying about getting penned 24/7 It does, and will get penetrated (sometimes a lot) but if I cowered behind a rock every time I saw a side scraping E100 or hull down SC I wouldn't have achieved anything. Put on the 14cm, the hardening and turbo, some premium ammo, and go at these guys!

true, and that's because of 2 reasons: firstly, the tank is just terrible, and secondly, only bad players play this tank because the good players know how terrible it is and therefore don't play it.

Console player here, our Type 5 is not meta but not bad, and crucially it just clicks with me. Bad matchmaking all day? Type 5 fixes my mood, all thanks to the armor and 15cm HE.
I'm literally in my way to type5😅 idk why I love it,ofc 60tp is waaay better ,but type 5 have something idk what but something 😅
Type 5 not achieved before the HE nerfs, it was fun until all the fan boys whined to wargaming and ruined HE in the game....

I actually abandoned this line after playing the type 4 heavy. Everyone spams gold and your armor is useless. When i play a super-heavy, i expect to bounce shots. There would be some games in my type 4 where i would bounce zero shots because everyone is spamming gold. The type 4 needs to get 280mm of frontal armor and the type 5 needs 320mm of frontal armor, then maybe it could stand up against its own tier and help the team.
I had a simmilar experience. For some reason the Type4 was WAY harder than the previous tanks. The Type5 was still worth it though; if you accept that this tank is anti-meta and a big gamble, you enjoy it much more. And the O-Ni at T7 is a hidden gem imo.
So true, Maus, E-100 and Type 5 H are slow and have no effective armor meanwhile IS-7 and others do 40-50km/h and are almost gold immune hulldown.

Maus’ armor can be really effective even against gold if you angle correctly. Type 5 though is just terrible once people load gold.

Then WG stepped in and told him to "Zip it" or we pulling your CC/Sheriff status. So he did. He fell inline with QB and all the others that create content with WoT's.
The punishment if any is a slap on the hand, well worth using a boosting company. WG is like Sgt. Shultz when it comes to boosting companies. "I SEE NOTHING".
When QB Kellerman releases his video this morning, I will comment quickly and Mr. Anderson has been quiet recently, have people stopped cheating.

It was disgusting to just lob he and do 500 per shot time and time again. It was super easy to play, witch i think was part reason for the he nerf. Main reason being to cut balls from credit farming with he derp tanks. How ever there were other better options other than buchering all he ammo. Atleast the japanese heavys had other options. I feel sorry for everyone who payed money for premium kv2 and now its pretty shit because it only gets 130mm pen when most tanks at it tier drive around with 150mm of effective armor.
This is every tier 8 game I play, and none of the tier 10 games I have ever played.
Why even call it 'gold'? Just call it 'standard'. The game is currently designed to do everything short of force the player to exclusively use the most expensive ammunition.

Type 5 was a monster tank back then before HE nerf now it just a tank in a museum.. just like a maus .. before premium round can be buy with credit it's rarely to se a maus die in 1 minute accept ammo rack..

my type 5 is like paper for other tanks like every other tank i play with but when your guys play type 5 then it can't break through at all, classic fraud and manipulation
I just watched a guy from the russian servers play with a russian flame thrower tank. Wth? Does anyone know anything about it?

Well the game is RNG so it rarely happens when you get into a got matchup and lineup but in general its the other way around, one of the reason I quit wot as these kind of matches rarely happens.
Fully aimed shots miss, ghost shells, can't pen, one-sided games, designated losses, you are playing world of tanks.
