Holland is the wrong name because its only 2 of the 12 "Provinciën" that are called Holland, North and South Holland and the whole country is the Netherlands. I am going to get this ship, been a long time i bought a ship because they are overpriced as hell, but i'm Dutch and i want it. I do believe AA can take the planes out .... its also going to be slow and not easy to hit a moving ship, but should be great for attacking ships behind cover or in smoke... i doubt the ship is going to be OP
Having played PC and being the owner of a ship with the airstrike mechanic (T10 Premium DD Tromp), I don't really think there's much to worry about. Assuming the mechanics are the same as PC (and it looks like they are from the video teaser), then these air strikes have a limited range, they also have a lead time just like shells or torps do, but there is no aim assist mechanic of any kind (on PC), so it does require some skill to actually lead them properly and land them. In the the WG video, it showed a lead time of 13 seconds on the reticule, which I think sounds a little long, actually. So it is not correct to say there is no counter. There is. You can dodge them in sort of the same way you can dodge an artillery salvo, and your AA can shoot down the planes. And actually landing the air strikes as the player using them is not easy or a guarantee. A lead is required, and it will take practice to get it right. I absolutely could not land any airstrikes with Tromp at first.
Yes this is correct, but autom aim here will make them much easier to land, especially on the dumb AFK counters. As for the bomb timer, the lead time is 14 seconds, which is less than it is on PC. Tromp gets a faster drop time because it's bombs don't have parachutes like these ones do.

It’s a trailer it’s meant to look good but if you pay close attention you can tell this is being used against an Amagi with only it’s A hull (you can tell it’s A hull by how low it’s health is and how little AA is firing) and it’s an AI ship going in a straight line. Hitting a real player with a 15 second lead won’t be easy try hitting a bb with an atlanta at 17+km when it has nothing better to do than dodge your shells. Also amagi with an A hull has terrible AA, a ship with decent AA can shoot down a lot of those planes and less planes means less bombs, between that and trying to dodge you should be able to mitigate most if not all of that damage and that’s only if the player trying to bomb you even aimed correctly. It’s going to be a fun meme ship that feels semi rewarding when it works nothing more.

This CL well get a lot players to buy the campaign that is why they are here. I think the DD is going to be an event ship to go along with Canada day like how that Italian Tier VI cruiser Francesco Ferruccio is right now in the Rome event. This even may even have a port. Also watch first air strikes next subs, as the air strike is done the same why anti sub planes are on PC,
As someone who absolutely loves tier VII cruisers & battleships, it’ll be nice to have another one in my arsenal! With that being said, I predict her being very overpowered at first, and she’ll get nerfed into oblivion. Whenever I play as a carrier, I will definitely target these ships so I don’t die in the first minute. Also, nice choice using Sea of Thieves for the background music.
the most hate ships with airstrike for pc the ship can't stand anything... slow hp the most op airstrike not only has 3 charges but it can also give them to 13 km and also 50 sec relod to someone .. i hope it will be nerfed soon ..

The dutch are the people living in the netherlands who speak dutch. The radar for the frieland class, de 7 provincièn class, and the carrier karel doorman all had the same radar. For the airstrike they should have used the fokker g1 or fokker d21, since those where pretty fomous fighters for the dutch, even the swedish flew the d21. For commanders i hope they use piet hein, michiel de ruiyter, karel doorman, or cornellis tromp. Since conrad a ship a day hellfrich is already in pan europe. But we wil see if she will be a single dutch cruiser if she is going yo get tech tree line with her sister de ruiyter. And haarlem, alkmaar, van kinsbergen, gelderland, gouden leeuw, Wil follow. I truly hope so but you never know. Maybe the dutch terrible twins would be also awesome, but the pc also have the destroyer tromp that is s beast. So who knows.
One thing that should be noted is Robin said this 21k damage was done with peak ship and commander upgrades and was a "best case scenario so don't expect to land that kind of consistent damage". Also they mentioned on today's stream that the footage was captured in the test server where stats can always change before final release so take the footage with a grain of salt
The partial maps have been making aircraft carriers very vulnerable already. With the standard spawn having the carriers fairly exposed 9 times out of ten, the other team will rush that side. It will be interesting to see what happens with this ship/line, I can see the concerns being justified if the strike is as powerful as it is made out to be, but on the other hand the could just be good marketing.
New things coming up and that's good news. I wouldn't fear this one tho. There will be as many bad airstrike players as there are bad carrier players. I hope this is going to be a fun update. :)
The name of the ship is The Seven Provences or The Seventh Provence. The first one was a man o war from the age of sail. Named for the Seven Core Provinces that made up the Netherlands.
