Even so, with no smoke I call my Le Terrible B my "real man's destroyer" since she has no "get out of jail free" card. You f up and get spotted it's on you to get the hell out of dodge.
I basically play her like a tiny dpm cruiser with lot of torps - so, some dd hunting, some island camping, and some spotting.

Maass (W) is very strong as well with sonar, smoke, 2 sets of good torps, decent guns and HP

@@justinzacharias32just depends on the range. Pretty sure Americans usually beat out the German sonar smoke boats if it’s just blasting at each other. But if you can get them in that sweet spot on sonar where they can’t see you the then Germans usually win
I’m running Ognevoi this ranked season for practice and for the challenge. Already made it through a few ranks. Much more satisfying getting wins in a ship like the ogenvoi than rushing through the ranks. The rewards aren’t good anyways.
My WR this season is sitting somewhere around 80%

Lol, let me put it this way, my win rate in standard has been stuck at like 58% for a year. My WR in 1v1 ranked is like 65%. That kinda lets me know what the problem is.
Kidd was my only option lol. And it was a good one for me, lost only a few matches due to my own stupidity basically.

I still don't understand how velos is tier 8 with no heal 1 les gun and uss kidd is at tier 6 . Velos don't belong at tier 8 .imo it should be tier 7 or 6. Like sims snd Charles Hughes

For me is either Kidd with Mordoff, Z35 with Bey or the Cossack brothers with Shiroko.

Any of the us destroyers are great. The heavy armored destroyers are usually a problem if you cant hit the soft parts though. Ive been running z31 and benson.
You play the sonar boats well, patience is key..
Kidd got me to rank 4...after that the german sonar is just spammed...and ive made it to rank 3 by using island better but damn its sweaty
i swear the targeting zoom is buggy, ive had some boats dead to rights and then suddently 5 volleys all disperse short or high --- and im like wtf --
There are two significant aiming bugs in this game that I'm aware of and they've been a problem for a long time.
The first is the snap-aim glitch when you try to auto aim and it points you in seemingly random directions.
The other is a lead bug, less common, when a ship, usually a destroyer or anything that is fast and can turn sharply, is in certain parts of it's turn relative to your position and you put lead on the outside of their turn i.e. where they will be when the shells get there the shells drift inside the turn or vice versa putting the shells way outside or inside of where you actually aimed them.
These have been bugs for at least the 3 years I've been playing and people have complained about them and WG has seemingly done little to nothing to address them probably because doing so takes effort and there isn't a way to monetize it, which is were a most of issues with the game stem from, WG's minimal effort, maximum monetization philosophy.

This 1 vs 1 rank is great I could not get into CL one but this DD one is good I use Luca Tarigo, with Luigi-Rizzo full gun build maxed level maxed legendary skills I have 4.2 second reload not super fast guns but that SAP slaps the shit out of DDs, as concelment is a waste in this mode no CLs to fear. Trops are not that needed I hit 1 DD with it, a Benson.
I my play is let them start to cap that way I know were they are then move in start a gun fight most have to get thier trops off once they go boardside I feast, I sent Kidds to the bottom yes faster guns but mine hit harder, now if the other player us slow I do cap one game got both bases forced him to come to me.

i keep running into it in benson and ive literally won every game except the ones against kidd. tells you alot about that dumb ship, and did i mention, i only lost because of those STUPID HEALS?!?!!? clearly not broken, im salty asf..

Most people have the money, it's just being unwilling to sink 100 dollars into a free game just to have an advantage over most players. And calling games out for this behavior isn't whining.
@@l77scmaro2 I got Kidd for less than 20 dollars. And 10 premium ships just this event, for less than 50. Try again next time. Like I said. Broke and whining. Someone with money wouldn't be butthurt so much, and you see their type every day.
As someone who plays MMOs as well, at least in wowsl I don't have to buy expansions or DLCs every few months to "Keep up with the game." WG is greedy, but I've seen much, much worse in the RPG/MMO field. I was going to say at least wowsl doesn't have the dreaded battlepass like Diablo does, but one could argue that is the campaign.

Yeah, it’s more paid to gain an advantage… if you make mistakes, you’ll still get screwed up all the same, even in the strongest ships in the game.

And I would say that, even if both players are relatively similarly skilled and one has an advantage with a ship he bought, RNG is usually a bigger decider than the small advantages that ship may have and no one has control over that.
the match making is busted, not the boat. shoving gun boats in with smoke boats or torp boats is just wrong. in terms of balance. If you build things right my skane has gone toe to toe with kidds, the problem is i keep losing to the valquens not the kids...... so its fustrating. torp boats should match to torp boats -- gun boats vs guns -- agile boats vs agile boats... im not sure , but bro my MASS and Benson both died in 3 vollyes from this one Kidd who fully maxed his damage. that not fair match making rofl
I don't think there really is much of a matchmaking system for ranked other than it seems to favor pitting the same ship against itself sometimes.

I feel that man...I managed to get to rank 3 but can't get beyond that. I'm newer and managed to get a kidd in a box recently but the z35 sonar spam has been recking me
