Hey Jared. Sounds like we all feel your pain buddy. The mess is all over the place and it sure has a way of bringing a person down. We spend all our fun time outdoors and it really bothers me that seeing kids outdoors is rare. They're the ones who are going to be taking care of things later and it seems like most of them would rather be inside. Here's my silver lining....folks like you who are passing this respect and connection with the outdoors with their kids. Take a moment and pat yourself on the back buddy, good on you!
You are spot on complaining about the trash everywhere in our outdoors. I am retired and travel a lot in my camper and I get so disgusted how our rivers and forests are becoming dumps. So many places I see it’s unbelievable all the junk there is. I used to pick up trash at remote boat ramps and collect aluminum cans to sell them but I started finding to many needles and syringes in them. I stopped fearing I would catch something or be poisoned by fentanyl. Keep doing what you do! I love your shows!
This is by far the best video you have done! A heart-to-heart talk about what's on your mine! The trash, lets face it it had to come from some low life somewhere! Makes you wonder what their homes look like! Keep up the good work!

You're doing a great job J & Thank YOU!
I loved this video. we need more people that want to preserve our land. Thanks for speaking out and keep the videos coming. I have never seen the water boil like that and amazing sight.
Recycling was required in my area beginning in about 1990. I live in a neighborhood where trash is picked up regularly. Once in a while I find a candy wrapper or other snack wrapper in my yard, but not often. In 1992-93 my husband's company sent him to Italy to work on the Italian project to help plan and launch the European Space Station. I got a leave of absence from my job to spend some time there. We rented a condominium in a small town that had buildings going back 1,000 years and more. It was a lovely small town. But it was trashy. People simply threw empty wrappers, bottles and any other refuse into the streets. The town paid people to remove the trash, so every morning before the kids walked to school the streets had been swept clean. By 9:00 when school started, the streets near the school would be littered again with wrappers and bottles, etc. By the time we left Italy there were large trash barrels on most blocks, but it is hard to retrain people.
Great video Jared and cool use of what you had available. I have had salt water mullet fried and they were as good as any other fish but I have never had fresh water mullet. Always told that they weren't any good. I definitely would have eaten a taco. I grew up in New Orleans and all over south Louisiana and I have to say that you are right on target about the trash. It is a mindset in the south that its ok to just throw your trash out wherever you are and not be bothered taking it with you to a proper trash can. I traveled all over in the military and have never found any place as bad as Louisiana for this and don't know what the answer is except we all need to do better. Thanks for having the guts to call everyone out for this.

Where i live is poor fishing and restricted hunting and is pretty horrible, bowhunting just banned. Watching you gives us a bit of hope that a better life exists somewhere. We don't really have that big a rubbish problem here, not because the lazy and stupid don't litter all over the place. There are some things that mitigate the trash. Hey Jared, I watch your channel and Nate on his channel Falling Tide TV. There have been times on some of his videos that I thought they were hunting on the edge of the county landfill. I don't think true sportsmen trash places like that. Fishermen have been leaving trash at a lot of the public fishing spots here. The local government got tired of getting complaints and sending someone out to clean it up. They starting posting the spots as no fishing allowed. Now I carry an empty 5 gallon bucket and a heavy duty trash bag in my truck. I pick everything up at the spots I go to to try to keep them open. Shouldn't have to clean up after scumbags just to be able to fish.

Hi, here in Germany lots of people who go fishing carry a thrash bag with them. If they find waste they take one bag away from the river. I like the cheap amazon ones because you never know when youre going to snag bottom and lose it. start with a 5 foot. most youtube videos can show you how
A small creek my sons and I use to fish is the same way with liter in Mississippi. Enough fishing line strolled out in the rocks that would stretch from coast to coast. It’s a sad sight, especially when you come across wildlife that’s been killed by the the mess left behind !
A friend and I fished a spot where we brought 2 garbage bags and almost filled them. Life happened, and we drifted apart, I asked him about that spot, and he said they stopped the fishing there!
I know what you mean about the litter. It’s pathetic. One positive though is those beautiful Red Fish ya’ll have. To me that’s one of the best fish around.
It is a sad thing that our resources aren't cared for better. You are doing the right thing though....focus on the good and accept what the Lord DOES give us. Keep on keeping on!!!
We get that here as well, piles of trash people leave, it just stinks. Ever up here in the Maryland area, we can go after some big blue cats, blue crabs, or the Northern Snakehead. Enjoy the videos bud!!
@@OutsidetheLevees and I know I am a small channel, but I have done the same exact thing. Doing collaborations with smaller channels, some just starting out. I have made great relationships.
@@OutsidetheLevees I am definitely working on it Trust me! I am getting close to being semi-retired. So if I am lucky enough to get down there during hunting season, love to hunt for Pigs or what ever. And throw in a fishing day.
The litter problem is not only in the rivers and streams, it's everywhere. I have a store in Hinesville, Ga., people will buy items like earrings and throw the backs in the parking lot. Items that are put in a bag, they will take them out of the bag and throw the bag in the parking lot. I have found everything from food trash to dirty diapers. They have no respect for anything or anybody.
Hey Jared, there should be signs, carry in carry out for the disrespectful types! Ask Fish and Wildlife to post and put a fine on it👍. MASS was a filthy state growing up,everything went out the window😠. Once they put a fine on it people tend to be more cautious 🤞. Hey Jared ,I ment to ask ,did you get a new House? If so its amazing 🌞. JO JO IN VT 💞
The Mississippi is the sewerage line of the country. That being said people do leave trash where they sit on the River or bank bar pit fishing. I make it a point to clean up as much as possible other peoples trash and I’ve witnessed them doing it. It’s has no age or ethnicity. Just people who grew up dumping trash ,cigarettes ash trays, bags of crayfish heads with beer cans and think nothing of pitching out fast food containers and cups. Hopefully bringing this type of activity the light of day will help. I fish the Red and Mississippi a lot and do well.
Some people just don’t care, maybe if they got caught and fined, they had community service they might not do this for the next time, but I do love fishing stories , wish I could go
Def... people need to respect the resource... so easy to just bag your garbage and take it with you... maybe someone can just put a garbage can out there... again some people will still just throw on the ground. Another thought is to put a sign up to remind people to take their garbage with them... it's silly that has to be done... but I have been hiking in the middle of nowhere... in a pristine environment and see garbage someone was too lazy to bag... sad really... anyway the burrito looked pretty good.
Irony, I drive for a living in and out state. It's sad to see how trashy our state is compared to other places. People just don't respect what a unique and beautiful place we live in.
I just saw Rob’s (Deermeat for Dinner) latest video and he pulled up a discarded fish trap line that was a couple hundred feet long. Just sad to see so many irresponsible people out there ruining our natural resources. I’ve hunted and fished for most of my life, and I ALWAYS leave the field or water better than I found it for the next generation. Makes me sick to see what these slobs that call themselves sportsmen leave behind, not to mention the complete lack of regard for the safety of others while hunting or fishing!
The trash is everywhere you go to bank fish its truly disgusting. Most people in Louisiana don’t give a crap if they throw trash on the ground. We should be showing people not to throw garbage on the ground.

Yeah man life is weird but glad you had memories with your buddy
I know what you mean about the litter. It’s pathetic. One positive though is those beautiful Red Fish ya’ll have. To me that’s one of the best fish around.
agreed, redfish are awesome
It is a sad thing that our resources aren't cared for better. You are doing the right thing though....focus on the good and accept what the Lord DOES give us. Keep on keeping on!!!
I know, well said. Thanks you
What was up with them great big bubbles ? You think a giant catfish belched or what ? I been fishing a long time and never seen nothing like that.
some kind of discharge supposedly it is shrimp peelings from a local factory
Bro let’s go 🥂✔️🎣🎣🎣😎😎 I have catching up to do
Thanks my man always appreciate you
Mullet that far up the River?? WOW!!!
yeah man they everywhere
If you want delicious fried mullet you have to come to Crestview Florida and eat them as my guest
Would love to
Spoke too soon lol
yep lol
We get that here as well, piles of trash people leave, it just stinks. Ever up here in the Maryland area, we can go after some big blue cats, blue crabs, or the Northern Snakehead. Enjoy the videos bud!!
sounds like a paradise. Once the channel earns good money Im coming your way
@@OutsidetheLevees love to have ya!
@@OutsidetheLevees and I know I am a small channel, but I have done the same exact thing. Doing collaborations with smaller channels, some just starting out. I have made great relationships.
@@OutdoorsInMaryland yes sir you are always welcome to head down and collaborate with me
@@OutsidetheLevees I am definitely working on it Trust me!
Dang. So sad
Mullet has a great taste and doesn’t need help. It will compete with any fish and is a very underutilized source of protein.
Agreed
U should link up with MHood and do a catfish catch and cook.
Would love to. MHood is the man
Hey Jared, there should be signs, carry in carry out for the disrespectful types!
JO JO IN VT 💞
the people just dont care unfortunately
We always bring an extra bag with us to take a full bag out or try and make a campfire and clean up that way
yeah itd be a waste of time at that spot
biloxi bacon is what they call it in mississippi
i love that
That’s why they call it fishing and not catching. Have faith everything is fine.
thank you my friend
Sometimes we have tough luck at fishing for catfish go to a different spot to fish
Well it’s our drinking water source so we need to take better care of it
Some people just don’t care, maybe if they got caught and fined, they had community service they might not do this for the next time, but I do love fishing stories , wish I could go
they def dont
If you get lazy you can just eat your bait. Using mullet to catch some mullet. Totally get it freshness means everything.
basically the video lol
Def... people need to respect the resource... so easy to just bag your garbage and take it with you... maybe someone can just put a garbage can out there... again some people will still just throw on the ground. Another thought is to put a sign up to remind people to take their garbage with them... it's silly that has to be done... but I have been hiking in the middle of nowhere... in a pristine environment and see garbage someone was too lazy to bag... sad really... anyway the burrito looked pretty good.
Well said appreciate your support
Fkn empty bud light box of thrash...I gotta bite my tongue!
Yeah man it’s ridiculous
It's because people are getting lazy . I fish off bank at Bass Lake, IN and its the same here too
Unfortunately so
I live on the Bolivar Peninsula in Texas and have the same problem. It looks like a 3rd world country.
Some people man
We’re called the dirty south for a reason brother. It’s sad but true.
nailed it
😳 So Your Saying that was a Mullet Fart…💥
you wild
We run into the same type of trash in the Wyoming mountains, They can pack in but not out ...disgusting!
Terrible man. Wish they would just stay home
Irony, I drive for a living in and out state. It's sad to see how trashy our state is compared to other places. People just don't respect what a unique and beautiful place we live in.
Yep, you nailed it
Salsa son salsa😅
ok
❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you my friend. Appreciate you
I just saw Rob’s (Deermeat for Dinner) latest video and he pulled up a discarded fish trap line that was a couple
hundred feet long. Just sad to see so many irresponsible people out there ruining our natural resources.
I’ve hunted and fished for most of my life, and I ALWAYS leave the field or water better than I found it for the
next generation. Makes me sick to see what these slobs that call themselves sportsmen leave behind, not to
mention the complete lack of regard for the safety of others while hunting or fishing!
Exactly. Thank you my friend
I see trash all up in the bayou's of Houston, where fish thrive. Trash with fish swimming around them.😢
I could tell you who but you know already. P.S There are much better fish to eat here in Southern La. then mullet just saying!🤣😂
They’re really not bad
The trash is everywhere you go to bank fish its truly disgusting. Most people in Louisiana don’t give a crap if they throw trash on the ground. We should be showing people not to throw garbage on the ground.
Ill keep trying
