Here in Michigan before first frost I winterize mines by cutting plant back, shove corm & root system deeper, than cover with leaves or mulch. They triple in size every year!

So hence, I did them in pots. They are growing so fast and wondering if I am able to take them and put in the ground now? Should I even attempt? Also, I put 2 bulbs in a big pot and now I n3ed to separate...can I transfer one to another pot?

I am wondering if I should cut the plant to the base now in early April before I put it outside and let it start growing again or am I too late in cutting it down to the base? Hi there! You can probably leave yours in pots all year. As long as your temps are above 46 degrees they can continue growing or go dormant in their pots. I give mine water generally every few days. I check to see if the top inch or two is dry and give it a drink

    • @TheThriftedPlanter

Oh no! How are they doing now? Do they get overhead sun or light? Overwatering can show up as leaves drooping, leaf death, root rot etc. Check the soil for wetness before you water again. Dig down about 2 inches and if it's still wet then wait to water
