I'm from South Louisiana and we actually have a French inspired desert that is Homemade Whipped cream that is whipped thicker than just store bought whipped cream and then it's mixed with cranberry sauce and topped with nutmeg. My Great Grandma called it FooFoo. It's a Cajun take on a cranberry Fool. So it may not be ice-cream but it's a very close substitute and same principle flavor wise.

I see Egg Nog, Gingerbread and Pumpkin ice cream all the time during the holidays but I have never seen Cranberry ice cream before. It seems like it would be a natural fit. The mix of tart and sweet would be really good.

Finland being of the countries where you can buy cranberry icecream. It's awesome. I was surprised to see the cranberry sauce come up in this context, since personally I prefer it over anything chocolate on vanilla ice cream.

No one's ever put cranberry sauce on vanilla ice cream??
Quick story: I'm 25, and only 3 years ago did I ever had cranberry sauce (ofc it was on Thanksgiving). I didn't like it bc the tartness clashed with the dinner, so I finished it by putting it on vanilla ice cream. Instant improvement in the cranberry sauce experience. I don't see how it's part of the dinner and not as a dessert. Also I refuse to believe no one else does this

“Nobody’s done this” whaaat that’s my thing I bring to every thanksgiving!!! Homemade cranberry sauce and home made ice cream and I half jokingly suggested they’re supposed to be eaten together and now it’s a holiday tradition at our thanksgiving! It’s just good🤪
Similar situation here, except we have it throughout the year.
I’m not sure why, but it seems like R&L and many others see cranberry sauce as only a savory food, when it’s basically just a berry jelly/jam. I love it with my turkey and dressing (which is basically stuffing, but down South,) but there’s no reason you can’t use it in a dessert setting too!
It’s really not nearly as weird of an ingredient for sweet items as they seemed to make it, since they almost seemed surprised that berries would taste good with ice cream, lol.
Here’s the thing. I really, really liked the green cardigan. I thought it looked good. And that it can double as a green screen is just a wonderful bonus.

What I sometimes do is have a madeira cake, with strawberry jam and vanilla ice cream. Like Link said, vanilla is like a canvas. You can have it with almost anything and everything.

I get the feeling that kinda cranberry sauce is WAY sweeter than what we have here in the Nordics. I think ours would've been an interesting option, more of a contrast to the sweetness of vanilla.

The cranberry and vanilla ice cream reminds me of a german dish called "Rote Grütze mit Vanille Eis". Aka some warm berry mix which is warm and like gelatinous ish mixed with vanilla ice. Love it

Where I’m from, gmm posts at 7 30 am which is literally the PERFECT time because that’s when I get up for school so gmm and gmmore are always my morning accompaniment
In my state it's 5:00 AM when posted.
Over the years I've done ketchup, mustard, and ranch (all cold) individually, as well as red pepper flakes. The pepper flakes work best. Also made a hotdog ice cream sundae and recently had ice cream sundae atop nacho pizza.
