Oh my gosh this is super amazing! I looked up this video because my PE teacher is making my class do jump rope routines for tomorrow I was looking up some tricks my best friend and I could do. Wish me luck! Great video Jordyn!

  • @JumpingJordyn
    @JumpingJordyn  11 ปีที่แล้ว +13

Yeah because I love performing routines and so I smile :) And it took me a week to learn all of these tricks except for handstand and pushup whip, cowboy, and triple under. I have been jumping for almost 9 years and these are just the easy tricks I put together to make a video to help everyone. And thanks so much! I have many other videos of me performing, this one is just me showing easy tricks.

Thank you! As a performer I have to keep smiling no matter what. It was 100 degrees outside and super hot, but I kept going and seeming like it was really fun. Check out my other videos to see me perform! Thanks for watching. New videos soon to come!

For those of you who need it these are the tricks in the video (or at least a what my jump rope team calls them)
    1. Double bounce jump
    2. Single bounce jump
    3. Skier
    4. Forward and back (I don’t know if we have a name for it haha
    5. Scissor
    6. Mountain climber
    7. Cross cross
    8. Single side swing and open
    9. Double bounce version of 8.
    10. Full turn
    11. This one’s just a basic rope rap
    12. Basic behind the back release (I do know a much simpler way to get into this that looks a little nearer if anyone’s interested)
    13. Basic backwards jumps
14-17. Backwards versions of the above 3-6
    18. Leg over
    19. Leg over cross (you’ll want to learn leg overs and basic crosses before this one)
    20. Basic double unders
    21. Basic front cross (open cross open cross)
    22. Single side swing and cross
    23. Double under front cross (you’ll want to learn single side swing and jump and basic front cross first)
    24. Double under side open
    25. This is similar to a few more advanced tricks I know but I’ve never seen this before... so I don’t have a name for it
    26. Bottom busters or rump jumps. These are actually not that hard, it’s just a matter of practice and making sure you jump high. Rhythm is important!
    27. E.B.s (front back cross)
    28. Begins the back cross (make sure you’re crossing really wide for these! If you’re only crossing at the wrists then you won’t reach around. Try holding your handles at the end to give you more cross width)
    29. A.S. (Behind the knees cross) (personally, I’d try to do caboose first, between the knees cross. However, this is just my personal opinion! No disrespect :) )
    30. I don’t remember the exact name but I think it’s C.L.s (behind the back knees cross) although this trick is a beginners trick, I didn’t learn it until I was at a much more advanced level and it can be a little tricky. Try mastering E.B.s and A.S.s first
    31. Fake push-up
    32. Real push-up
    33. Fake donkey kick
    34. Real donkey kick (there’s another version of this called a Frog if anyone’s interested :0)
    35. Real straight triple (I think) I’m not going to lie, these are REALLY hard, especially for a beginner. Before you start this you’ll want to be able to get at least twenty double unders with no jumps in between. You’ll also want to be able to jump with an amazingly straight back, because if you don’t you’ll most definitely fall.
Amazing job! This is a great tutorial for beginners, and you looked excited to be able to do this video. If I had to guess you’ve been on a performance team before (similar to the one I’m on) if you have that kind of stamina and you’re able to smile the whole time. Keep up the great work!
If anyone has any questions about the tricks on this list, I’d be happy to help. Be sure to show this creator some love!

I know I messaged you a while ago when I could barley jump rope correctly... So since, I can do criss cross, slipping, one leg switching the thing where you wrap it on your arm and go backwards, arms switched forward.... I can do all this going forward and backwards, except how you did that behind the back, I'm gonna practice that next.... Also I noticed you keep your rope short and your arms down, so I'm probably going to try the same... try a 30lbs dumb bell that's flat, try jumping on that, another thing I've been doing really kills the calves... Anyways I'm going to try some more of your tricks, don't think I can do the one when you're on your butt, that literally looks like it's a pain in the ass... literally
