    Q. Do I need multiple controls for different styles of blinds?
    A. No, we can offer multi channel handsets to operate different blinds in different rooms, however we can program all of your blinds to operate from one if you require.
    Q. Can your roof blinds be operated electrically?
    A. Yes, we do offer electric operation on many roof blinds. If the blinds are rectangular then this is easy for us. Some shaped blinds can be made electrically operated, but some shapes cannot, but your surveyor will be able to advise you.
    Q. Is the motor on the electrically powered blinds fragile considering how small it is?
    A. The motor that powers the electrically operated blinds is surprisingly powerful and hard-wearing for its size. In fact, many are fitted with an automatic soft close mechanism so that if they are pulled open or closed, they will operate on their own so that the motor will not be damaged.
    Q. What type of guarantee do you offer?
All of our products are guaranteed, along with our workmanship. The guarantee periods vary from product to product and are detailed on our guarantee page.

Very nice clean method! Solved a mystery for me. I want to add some 12v versions to my campervan.
In this case, I'd put the panel lower and stick the remote control on it magnetically.

I’m wiring a full gut remodel. What voltage are these blinds? If they qualify as class 2 electrical can I run a long control cable to a class 2 electrical box 50- 100 feet away?

Hi Jim. Normally these blinds are 230v in the UK. It depends on the blind type and size as to whether it is Class 1 or Class 2 - the larger blinds are likely to be Class 2. Regarding your cable run, you would really need to check this with your electrical contractor. With kind regards.

Why not independent battery installed on the blinds.

Hi. Blinds with batteries installed are great products. We sell an awful lot of them. However are probably 3 main reasons to look at this solution if you are at first fix.
      1. No need to recharge the blinds ever - this is an attractive feature for many customers
      2. Battery blinds often have a limitation in terms of lifting capacity, where as mains operated motors are often more powerful and better for larger shades.
      3. We often have blinds wired back to home automation set-ups. This might be a simple 3 core and earth solution with remote relays, or a more complex system with Cat5 connections. This way of installing can be used for these blind types.

No. This is a nuisance and continued expense. Imagine you cannot pull blinds down if you run out of batteries.
