I loved the Jack and Angelo story arch. It made Miracle Day just that bit more bearable to watch. I would have loved to have seen more of them together, rather than just snippets like this.
As tragic a stheir time together was it shaped Angelo to being a a great man, keeping himself healthy to live over one-hundred years with little to no use of articical means and he quite literally went from rags to riches.
0:50 I love that they acknowledge Jack Harkness having to deal with the burden of majority of his lovers being from a time period where they are downright ashamed of being with him. He's also shown as a flirt who doesn't care who he flirts with, but I can't help but wonder if the fact he can't die-thus doesn't have to fully face the consequences-be a reason why he's so reckless about being openly queer in homophobic times
@@stephenmurphy2212 Oh yes because its not like he wears the same WW2 era Trench Coat in the 21st century too lol. And don't bother saying its fashionable now, you can quite as easily make the argument that he doesn't care either way.
@@peterjoyfilms Where did he get it from though? He is revealed to have travelled back to 1869 from the game station and lived through the entire 20th century. His original Empty Child coat he was not wearing in Parting of the Ways so he would've lost it on the TARDIS.
I wasn't a fan of miracle day, would of loved it if Torchwood would of had more seasons, but like they say, best to of ended it while it was still good.
Well... Angelo actually killed him and then like "oh, i'm sorry, i overreacted, lets forget that and start over" It was cruel to leave him the way Jack did, I admit. But still...
Everyone praises this episode even if they didn’t like the season, but it’s actually of the season’s genuine flaws. Info dumping all at once like this right before it finally becomes relevant to the overarching story? A bit messy. Not that I mind too much; MD is still a great piece of storytelling overall, but it’s just ironic that people complain so much about it but then praise one of its few actual problems.
It's not ironic at all. It seems that way to you because you enjoyed miracle day, but to someone who diddnt this is not a sudden info dump, it's a break from a story they were not enjoying to see something else that they find more interesting, namely the relationship between Jack and Angelo. People having a different opinion to you does not make ther perspective contradictory.
@@ahumanbeingfromtheearth1502 From the angle of objectively analyzing the quality of the storytelling, it's ironic for sure, but even from the angle of looking at it through the lens of subjective experience, I'm not convinced, as most people's distaste for MD amounts to little more than "America bad," and this was still America
This SubPlot was one of my favourite parts of Miracle Day
Absolutely loved Immortal Sins, I love Angelo and Jack's time together. The music at the end is great
Doctor: Well time for a new companion as always.
Jack: I'll have a companion now.
Doctor: Wait that's illegal
One of the greatest Torchwood episodes.

Deanna-marketa Dean same

I'm so in love with this episode! One of the best throughout all seasons!
Jack's love life is SOOOO COMPLICATED!
One of the best episodes of the show.

they dragged this part out but it was still an amazing twist!
I hope you upload the scene where Jack tells Rex and Esther that he's from the future.
Captain Jack was wearing a WW2 uniform before WW2 even happened. Bit anachronistic.
Because its the uniform he wore in the Empty Child and this takes place after for him in his personal timeline
Hermes but he was usually seen wearing clothes contemporary to the era he was in.

There are paintings of soldiers around this time period with very similar looking coats. So it’s not exclusive to WWII.

Minor continuity error. Jack shouldnt have his WW2 clothes at this point

It broke my hart when Jack left Angelo. It was the only time when I really hated Jack.
Well... Angelo actually killed him and then like "oh, i'm sorry, i overreacted, lets forget that and start over"
It was cruel to leave him the way Jack did, I admit. But still...
Is this the first time he's ever said "The Doctor" instead of "The right kind of doctor." Or something like that?
No he says the Doctor in CoE Day 3 when talking with Ianto and in Fragments when he’s being interrogated by Torchwood
@ayy That's cool.
He wasn't a very good company

This episode should've been swapped with episode 6 middle man. Give us a chance to see the world with the new contextual information
Unpopular opinion maybe but I’ll take series 4 of Torchwood over series 1 & 2 any day, I just feel like Davies is the superior show runner
Nah I like 2. It was finally finding its footing when they changed everything up
