Those pieces are from the lower valve covers where the bolts from the upper valve cover bottom out and blow the hole out. I’ve found them before re doing engines. It’s from people not cleaning the holes out from oil and old silicon
Hey Great work. I know it takes a lot of work and I appreciate your effort to get this content out. I hated to see you quit but you can’t go forever without sleep. There will always be another day. I didn’t think about it till right now and it’s a little late to do it on this truck but one thing I would like to see in the future is an older truck like that with an l5p swap. Keep up the great work!!
That second pin in the harmonic dampener is a kit sold from XDP. It comes with a drill bit, the steel pin, and a hardened steel jig to easily position the drill bit perfectly in-between the crank and dampener. I installed one on my LB7 and I think its a good idea, i just wish you could easily key the crank gear and reluctor wheel/oil pump gear too without total engine disassembly.
I just bought my first diesel, 2015 LML, 160k miles. I love it, but after some research and finding your channel I'm worried about my cp4. Hope I win this lift pump to help until I save some $$$ for the cp3 conversion 😂
It’s not a matter of if, but when. Yes, a lift pump helps but eventually you’ll have the big problem surface. Spend the money now and the LML lives forever. I have an LML with 180k, finally did the cp3 swap about 15k mikes ago. Runs smoother and 10 degrees cooler. Good luck. The co4 is a ticking time bomb.
I’m sorry man. I feel for you. I was going to fully build my LBZ dually but it was going to need a built trans, studs, t case, rear end etc. I love the cat eyes but at the end of the day I ended up buying an l5p. Best truck I’ve ever had. Would love to build an lb7 some day though!
Brother. I’ve been binge watching your videos since day 1. And to see how far you’ve come is honestly a straight blessing by God. This is so awesome. I know you’re rock bottom right now with the truck, but brother…. Look how far you’ve come. So awesome to see. And you seriously got some awesome, reliable, professional buddies, Josh. Yall keep truckin. Almost done! (I think). That “To be continued…” cliffhanger is crazyyyy. God bless you brother. And your family as well. P.S. - I wanted to buy a stay tuned tshirt, but I’m on tight budget till next week. So I ended up purchasing a Duramax life keychain. (I own a 2001 gmc sierra 3500 LB7). I was more than happy to show any type of support for your channel. And I could definitely use a lift pump on my LB7 for sure obviously. Haha. Fingers crossed! (And just a heads up… I own probably one of the most mint conditioned 2001 gmc sierra 3500 you’ve ever seen. Not joking. 167k miles on truck. 15k miles on newly built motor. Just let me if you’re interested at all in taking a gander at it. I’ll be happy to send some photos brother
My oil cooler is indeed leaking at the mentioned adapter housing gasket 😢. I'll be doing the job with the cab on as soon as i can afford the banks kit.
You go very helpful and interesting videos. Can you suggestion a website or company where I can give to purchase accessories for body stuff etc Example. I have the OEM mirrors and would like an extension type when I pull a trailer. I have a 2008 Chev 2500 HD Duramax 6.6. Allison 1000 Transmission 70 K org miles. Just getting broke in lol It is a puller and new condition Cant justify getting a loan for a 23-24. Can’t imagine the ??
@user-yd1dx5qs4j I'll still take my fleet of d max trucks and my own 21 yo dmax. Original engines transmissions suspension even freon. 237k to 403 k and no oil leaks.
@@techs1smh13 I haven't been so lucky. I've owned modern emissions diesels from all 3. Sadly I had issues with my lml. My brother also has a blown up l5p in the shop right now. Apparently the glow plug came apart and took out #6 cylinder. Truck has 110k miles. Truck has had quite a few issues and now this. So far though my mother's 2022 hasn't had an issue..... But it is very new. We will see.

I’m having some trouble finding tuners for my 2007 lbz. Who do you recommend now

Thanks for the info I didn’t know it was a kit
Do you have a part number or how that kit is listed on there site Tia
@tristan7250-v3n This idea is from the supercharger companies that make kits for LS engines. LS engines don't have keyed crank pulleys.
I used the same kit. The jig works perfectly
First MatCo truck I've seen fully loaded,
Love the lbz awesome truck

Hello Josh and Dylan aka Dirty Dimond Diesel. Swapping out the engine on the new truck.
Damn it! What a fricking bummer! This is pure craziness. If you want a nice 07’ to fix up you can work on mine.
I may have a cracked head on my compound turbo lb7 would you recommend the ppe cast iron heads or would you do the fleece cup less aluminum heads

I’m planning a trip to them soon
I heard her say “ trimming bushes is not in your job description “, Mr.
Why did you not pull the cab again? Everything is aligned I think I heard?
That's what I thought 😂
It's not necessary!
I’m not risking scratching the cab after all the work
@@Westley909 it's way faster.
That crank might be a Callie’s cause the dowl don’t have a kea way on the stock crank it’s flat. So you might have hit the jack pot bub
Dang it, I was looking to buy that fluidampr off the OG wife max motor but still awaiting a response
