Reliving The War takes a look at the WWF vs WCW "Monday Night War" that took place in the mid 90s - early 2000s. With WCW Monday Nitro and WWF Raw is War airing at the same time, fans had to choose which show to watch. WWF and WCW would get into a ratings war that turned into a fight for survival. Reliving The War looks at every match and promo from the entire Monday Night War.
On Nitro this week, Eric Bischoff gets a new assignment from WCW president Ric Flair, Scott Hall faces Chris Benoit for a shot at Bret Hart’s US title at Superbrawl, and Hulk Hogan goes on the hunt for David Flair.
On Raw this week, Vince McMahon visits Victoria, Texas, on a mission to find Stone Cold Steve Austin. The Ministry of Darkness gain a few new members, and Triple H looks for revenge when he faces Kane inside a steel cage.

As far as I’m considered, every Reliving the War upload is my countdown to the weekend. My favorite part of Thursday has begun!
Yeah. Thursday is definitely my favorite day of the week. All my good TH-cam videos come out Thursday through Sunday but Thursday is always the best day

Agreed. It happened so gradually, but now I feel a shiver of excitement when a new one drops.
Patterson and Brisco in those damn cowboy outfits had me DYING. You could tell they had a blast filming those segments.
The Ministry of Darkness was one of the most well-constructed wrestling stables of all time. Everyone had a distinct role.
Mideon and Viscera were the goon squad, good for disposing of low-level threats and gatekeeping access to the upper ranks.
The Brood were the specialists, the hit squad who could operate independently and strike from out of nowhere.
The Acolytes were the elite soldiers, the deadly right hand of the Lord of Darkness.
Then you have the undisputed leader, the Undertaker, with Paul Bearer as his wise man.
There are video games with less well-established villain teams than this.
They might have been a villain team, but I was on Undertaker's side lol
And then, they ruined the stable and the Undertaker persona.
Yes, perfect…except for the payoff. That’s what people remember, understandably.

I've watched 170 episodes of RTW in the last 5 weeks to catch up, and in no way was that a poor use of my limited time on earth. Cheers for your hard work and this amazing content.

I just finished earning my Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and finance.
Through this degree plan, WrestlingBios and the RTW series has been an essential part of keeping my spirits up.

I realize this was in the most exhausting part of the NWO story, but Vincent passing the buck so Disco gets beaten is actually pretty funny.
You don't really see it here, but the hanging spot during the Brood match, Gangrel later mentioned that he messed up the grabbing of the noose and legit was being choked out. He thought there and then that he was in serious trouble as he obviously couldn't communicate he couldn't breathe but Mideon saw this pretty quickly and lifted him whilst making it look like he was pulling down to give him enough loose rope to get his fingers fully between the noose and his windpipe.
You can see the panic briefly in his eyes as he hits the floor.

Glad to know im not the only one who found her always good looking despite how wwe presented her.
Despite that her contribution was big. She helped get the female locker room to be taken seriously and be given more chance. And she sure was badass.

I just wanted to take the time out to say that your work is greatly appreciated! The amount of time and effort and attention to detail that goes into these videos does not go unnoticed. To me these times were truly the greatest to be a wrestling fan and every time I watch, it takes me back to being a kid again, the greatest nostalgia, keep up the satisfactory work!!!

The whole Bischoff in a dunk tank needed to be shown at about a half speed faster, with "Yakkity Sax" playing over it.
WWE should pay you to have this Reliving the War shown on their channel or Network. You done a great job every time and it's very entertaining.

Another awesome episode of Reliving the war this series is amazing these episodes of Raw and Smackdown were awesome rewatching it 24-years later great stuff as always.

I keep forgetting just how big the Ministry became, I mostly remember the Acolytes, Vicera and Mideon, but totally forget The Brood was in it also, which in hindsight makes the Taker VS Edge rivalry almost 9 years later even more iconic. And then WWE had to mess it up by creating the Corporate Ministry which wasn't needed, they had such success without needing an oversized stable like the NWO, yet decided to still go down that route and do literally the same gimmick, which luckily barely lasted months as opposed to years like the NWO did.
Thursday evenings are always better with this series
I contend that if Bobby Heenan was in all WCW segments doing physical comedy, WCW would still be in business.
I had overtime tomorrow, but it got cancelled, so now i can fully enjoy this Reliving the War lol. Thanks again.

IMHO, everyone talks fondly about the "Attitude Era" and I've been catching up on past episodes that I either forgot about or are seeing for the first time through this great series (btw THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH @wrestlingBios) and after watching up to this point. I have to say honestly...there were times where BOTH WWE and WCW were hit and misses, and if WCW made better choices. They would have beaten the WWE several more times
The ministry is growing...love to see it.
If you are running out of ideas for the Road Dog, Breat Hart "Shut up " segment.... I used to love the X files Interactive video game back in the 90s.- It has some unintentionally funny death / game over scenes. For example you would get FMV footage of someone jumping out behind a truck to shout the playable character to death for walking into the wrong place. Did anyone play this game back in the day?
I remember playing some knockoff games with stars like Crispen Wah and Hull Kogan. Good stuff
These are the first big wrestling shows to happen after I was born, a fact that has hit me while watching the last few episodes and makes me feel a little bit older
I remember the Cat vs Scott Norton.. I couldn't stop laughing the minute you featured the match because I immediately had a flashback to 20+ years ago and how hard those chops were.. me and my best friend were dyin' the whole match. Definitely worth finding that match and watching it in it's entirety if you wanna laugh so hard you start crying 🤣😂

Scott Norton is one of those guys I wouldn't have wanted to get in the ring with. It's like he knew it was a work but didn't care. Right up there with Bruiser Brody and Abdullah and New Jack.
