After a well deserved break we are back with another room makeover, this time we tackle a bedroom in our 1980s timber cabin. This room was a blank canvas but all the walls and surfaces were in terrible shape so for this makeover we partnered with Selleys to help us bring this room to life. This easy DIY makeover all came down to the paint prep, a bit of colour and some decorating hacks to create a high quality, designer finish.

The koala individually packaged pillows drove me nuts!! If you can vacuum down a whole mattress, you can vacuum pillows to fit two in one box.

Another lovely room - the green is moody, but somehow also gives off 'peaceful vibes' (despite the name!!!) Hot now, but in winter that chair by the window should be really cozy.

Looks great! I totally would have added a large cushion to the lip of that window so you can snuggle

Love the feature window. It is unusual. Glad you kept it.
Would have had the curtain rods extend beyond the windows. That corner looks too fussy.
It’s definitely a ‘feature’ we plan to make changes when we tackle our exterior cladding but for now we’re happy with how it looks. We did extend the rail quite a bit so the curtains don’t cover the window that much.

For clarity I think the corner bay window and items on the ledge look great. The window is unusual and adds to the sense of volume. You get to enjoy the view better as well.
It's the curtain rod being too short that is the source of the sense of clutter.

The "Feature Window" is absolutely hideous... but it's kind of one of the things that makes the home unique, so I love it haha.
Oofff hideous might be a bit harsh, let’s go with ‘charming’ 😉

The bedside thingy and koala promotion thingy wasn't great. Everything else looks very pinteresty 👍🏽
I don't trust other paint brands other then Benjamin Moore, but it's expensive.
So I recently painted my dining room using Dulux cuz it's cheaper. WORST paint decision I made in my life! I painted the walls green 4 coats and almost 5 liters of paint in and it still looks patchy and u can see the roller marks.
Also, i must say, my first coat was so thin, literally looks like lime wash! Looks nothing like what i see in these videos.
I ended up buy Benjamin Moore and painted 2 coats to rectify..... Dulux was wast of my money!
