I did the bat down acuna chase on my channel a couple years ago. I ripped three hangers and a blaster I believe and got one Ohtani and no bat down. Sold the Ohtani when the season started and just recently bought the bat down Acuna ssp. Love these rips.
The 22’ bowman loaded Packs from security tag were not loaded. At least from my meijer. I tried it. Bought some with and without. All the same. Great video!!
Have /15 Auto Ohtani from last years Three & Two release as well as all his Topps rookies from 18' along with that SP Acuna you showed in the beginning of the video with the bat down really should check the the corners and centering on those Ohtanis and Acunas and see if they are worth sending in
I brought about 30 bowman base cards two years ago. Got them graded. Have about 10 BGS 9.5. Wish those would go up but feel like they been about 80-100 for awhile. Looking to trade up to Bowman chrome PSA 10 batting one and auto later. Just not looking to drop 10k on auto.

I've got a Jumbo Chrome 18 still stashed. I love the wax especially from 18. People need to understand the odds of a big Ohtani are usually slim but you Stryker usually pull 🔥. Thank you for sharing your chase. You pulled a Gold before already.
Thats awesome I wasnt into stashing wax back then I bought solely to rip but have gotten into the stashing sealed wax recently. Got 10 2022 bowman blasters and 10 Megas stashed away.

Sounds like a lays commercial, 😆 No one can rip just one. There have been some exceptions but I try and stick to that rule for the most part. 22 Bowman is an excellent stash. Lots of potential besides just Elly.

As someone who got back into collecting a few years ago, I missed out on the Ohtani rookie era. I've since cobbled together a small collection of rookie cards-mostly inserts or, like, his Topps Holiday rookie, ie the cheap stuff-and I keep thinking "I'll wait for the Ohtani market to drop" to search out some of the more premium cards I'd enjoy owning. Spoiler: It hasn't happened. (I will note that my best Ohtani rookie is a base Heritage, which I scored in a Stryker break last year. That was a clutch Angels break with the Ohtani RC and a numbered Trout parallel.) Anyway, my preferred collecting focus is autographs and uhhhhh... right now it looks like I'll never own an Ohtani. Even the scrubbiest of scrub autos. His market would have to absolutely crater for me to snag one of those, lol.

To figure out a correlation, you need a few hundred packs. I did that with Backyard Breaks, since they post their cards online, my bot figured out to open the cards they opened, it would require 5,400 boxes per hour every hour, for 365 days 7 days a week without taking a minute off.
Love that you are doing these… I got super lucky a few months ago when the vendors switched at Walmart, I was only one there for a restock and he put out 4 fat packs of 2018 update and they had the yellow clearance stickers on them !!! Paid 5.99$ a pack I believe..Still have them sealed for long hold but super tempted to rip since I got them for super cheap
I just recently decided to find some Ohtani cards, my best so far is a PSA 10 diamond kings pitching no pinstripe card. I also grabbed an ungraded optics card and ungraded leaf that came damaged with a broken down loader and a slightly bent corner. Got a full refund on the leaf and got to keep the card. Still searching for the base card topps from 2018, I’ve been collecting 2023 topps lately, and saved a couple parallels. It may not be his rookie year but it’s looking to be his MVP year. Hope to see a bit of a bump from that.

I was gonna say the same thing ..no Ohtanis in the back half of the packs and 10-14 Harpers in back and none in the front …with there only being like 10 -14 portrait direction cards before all those horizontals it does limit the chances to pull Ohtani …I absolute love these videos ..seem like you should of gotten a few more Sps ..great Ohtani haul on this go round ,, hope you pull a Mother’s Day next time

The 2022 Bowman Retail packs with the anti theft device were about a 50% hit rate last year. The only problem is the majority of the "hits" were colored paper in my experience. And I opened quite a few of them.
While the series 2 ohtani is probably the true rookie, I definitely like the rookie debut from Update better...since his batting is what will be what will make him be remembered the most.

I know they're a pretty penny but with the likely MVPs of Acuna and Ohtani and Sotos resurgence combined with the shorter print run, you know you would have a blast and the nickle and diming is there. Man where can you get these for $25 a pack? thats a great price. I recently just found about 15 10 card packs at my local place for $20 a pop. Was thinking of grabbing them but these at $25 is much better. Or should I just bite the bullet for those 10 packs at $20?
Btw this is 25 packs, so a correlation is very hard. But I did notice something about the packs you opened. Re-watch the video, some of the packs open differently than others. Some open at top, some crack in the middle.
I think you should record the live stream and structure it into three rips and save them for a 3 parts video. It's hard for me to go back and watch a 2 hour rip but if it's more like 35 40 minutes I will definitely watch.
