Started following Topps over fanatics fest weekend and im so far down the rabbit hole. Started wit the Ohtani 40/40 card which i bought 5 of. Then came to watch your videos and now i just bought two monster boxes from fanatics lol. Wish me luck on my first boxes. I was the comic collector and my brother had binders full of cards from the 90s we lost in a house fire. So hoping the collector gods smile on me.
Guess how much one of these boxes are in Canada. I'll give you a hint, a blaster is $60 at walmart. I have given up on buying cards now. Theres only 28 cards in a blaster and 21 of them are commons.
In my first monster box I had a Curtis Mead auto, a Shohei card, & Imanaga x-fractor. But 5 out of 10 of the x-fractors had a print line through them.. including the Imanaga.

I got a hobby box last night. Not one numbered card , no negative no image . 225 bucks and I got a base pitcher auto. Like how can it be that bad ? My LCS owner felt so bad he gave me a Lawlar auto and gave me a box of Stars and Stripes

Nice rip. I was upset initially with the price increase but having opened 8 already (and 8 more on the way) they are worth it, especially with no Lite products anymore. These are essentially Hobby Lite Lites.
I bought one from gamestop, I said it was only 20 bucks more than a blaster with 10 guaranteed x fractors. Yeeeah, no rookies. Best was a soto. My blaster had a base ohtani and a pink judge 😂🤟. Might try again, but It was rough. Love the rip as always!
Thank you for the rip Stryker always a great watch. I really like thecray waves a lot, probably my favorite parallel of the set. The negative ray waves hit the hardest in my opinion.
2023 monsters would net 3 hits per box on top of xfractors. Typically 1 insert and 2 refractors or 2 inserts and 1 refractors and the like. But the numbered hits seemed to be a higher tier. I expect the same this year.
I like blaster boxes because you get 2 pink 2 sepia 2 refractors 1 prism and 1 ray wave. That's 8 chances to get a 40 dollar buy back to pay for the entire box.
I don’t sold out on tops website. They have a case of 20 monster boxes for like 1299.. so I think I might just bust a case of that open and just be done with it but striker. I’ll look into that that’s fairly cheap from what I’ve seen but that’s it. It’s a great deal. Maybe I’m wrong.

Was waiting to see a bigger opening of these. 100% take these over blasters, if you can get them for retail prices. I opened 2 and got 1 auto and 2 #'d cards and $60 in Judges. My only concern is that these will be $120 a box soon, but since they are still available on Topps, there must be plenty of supply. Still overpriced IMO, and I think we both heavily beat the odds in our boxes.
Ive ripped 2 of these and I was disappointed cuz a few of my xfractors had nasty print lines on them. I did get a purple speckle rookie auto and a purple sonar out of the 2 boxes. The bad qc sorta left a bad taste since I ripped a bunch of monsters in 2023 and didn't have any of those qc issues.
What is the upgrade shop? Assuming they prepare cards for grading? I bought 6 blasters and pulled rookie refractors Chourio, Dominguez, Holiday, Langford, Kjerstad, Yamamoto, Merrill wave refractor, 2 Jackson Holiday pink parallel and Summertime, Kjerstad pink, 3 Ohtani's, 4 Judge, 2 Elly, John Mcmillon rc auto, Alika Williams purple /275. Julien blue /150, McMahon purple /275.
Blaster rip count is up to 10 still no autos.. no elly, Jackson Holliday, junior or jasson base cards I somehow keep grabbing the trash collations makes no sense seems statistically impossible
Got my two boxes today and nothing really to speak of with no notable rookies and just 1 numbered card of PCA. I have yet to get a Judge or Ohtani after having opened a jumbo, a hobby, a blaster and these two Monster boxes. I wish everyone else luck!
I have my childhood collection, which I funded by mowing yards, washing cars, and raking leaves. The average kid today can’t afford to buy cards because breakers on Whatnot are driving up demand such that Topps 2024 or 2023 Optics football. Hobby box Topps 2024 is $242 from Fanatics and 2023 Optics football $800-$1200. Pretty sad state. My favorite cards in 2024 Topps are the 35th edition cards.

I opened 3 and got 2 X tractor rookies total. Seems like to collation may be tough.
But also got an Ohtani blue sonar from the rip to cover the boxes

I’m loving the monsters this year… yes 6 out of the 7 boxes I did had all RC Xfractors. And 2 autos out of those 7 boxes.

We’ve ripped a ton of chrome since it came out but unfortunately it’s all been pretty lackluster.

I opened 10 of these and mine were fairly rough. Best card was a Jackson Holliday /275. Only 1 Judge, no Ohtani's and 3 no name autos.

It's the term he uses for sending the cards to PSA to get graded.
My 3 were garbage. Best card was a Masyn Winn raywave. Hoping my next set of 3 is better. I've seen hits from everyone else it seems.

I broke 8 monster boxes today and got a ton of garbage rookie x-factors and a Bobby Witt Jr. raywave. Small sample size but not a very good.
