- This week we went back on a bit of pasture that we had some cool finds over the past year and seeing as so we had not spent that much time on it we thought it would be good to take the Minelab Manticore and the Equinox 800 out and see how they both do and see if we can make more sense out of the new metal detector. Both machines preformed perfectly. The manticore will turn out to be a beast for sure we think.

Rabbit net weights are very similar. Great finds.
Maybe even a casting net mate.. I've not seen weights on rabbit nets.. you learn something every day👍👍
@@Toon-Tony they used them on the bottom line of long nets to keep them tight to the ground when encircling rabbit warrens. Similar to fishing nets but on land.🤗👍

Thanks men another gud un 😂 a think the lead beads are from rabbit purse nets used when ferreting the nets were made from hemp so would have rated away😂

Surprised you can run the Manticore sensitivity so high - on land down south I can't get above 24 without chatter and usually use 21. Your set up obviously works though so well done.
We have land that's a little noisy but these fields are so nice 😀

Detected my old permission yesterday, and dug all those 14s on the 800, the ones that are pretty much always ring pulls.. Dug a 14 and found a gold ring..!!😀
You got to dig those 14s ring pulls tend to have a slightly different sound right on the end of the tone but still got to dig them 👍👍

Nice finds lads, I got a question for u guys. When u get a silver coin after they stopped putting silver in. I think they are nickel and copper? I’ve got a big half crown but they come out the ground horrible brown red colour . Is there anything that can be down to those coins to bring the shine back? I’m sure it’s about 1948 they stopped the silver not 100% sure
Ahh mate I know what you mean yeah they go a red colour don't they, hmm I just wash mine and give them a dry as I think there isn't much more you can do with them :-(
Ahh ok shame really. I’ve also just upgraded myself from the 600 to 900 . Massive difference in physical use lovely. Lot lighter etc. will it find me more stuff? I’m not so sure lol

The damn power line technicians always just toss pieces of wire around. Maybe the balls are a bird bola. I think that if they were net weights they would have been more spread out or on a line after being dragged. Now you have to find the 93 year old Spaniard who lost the Bola.
