Being a new player myself, and having played most of the higher lvl ships via the test server, I'd have to disagree on the American BS group. Japanese and German BS/cruisers are give better progress which is what it's all about here. Getting to the upper lvl ships asap.
Personally as a new player (well, I had little over 100 battles at release), I would say german tech tree is the best place for a new players to start. All their lines are solid. Not the FOTM best, but solid enough. And tanky enough so you get to see most of the match play out and maybe learn something. They also have one of the best ships for Ops for credit farming. And if one decides he wants to buy premium(s), it's also decent way to get your first 21p captain as they have many solid ones that work in both pve and pvp.
funny that you allways mention the american bb line for new players. i have vermont and montana BUT to start with those lines is a pain in the ass. in the beginning i was extremley unsatisfied with the low / mid tier bbs. they are big and slow around 20 knots ( with upgrade!) screaming to get farmed. so i ended up sniping in the back from 20+ km in low tier BUT those super floaty shells just got me frustrated because yea new player cant aim. so i ended up grinding the german bb's, and japanese dd's.

Playing air ship escort I find that most BBs die early in the game. A few cruiser seem to do well such as Napoli (Italian premium tier 10) and Jinan (Pan Asia tier 10 tech line). Then some DDs that can fire a large salvo of torpedoes from beyond detection range. This game mode has changed from favoring brawling BBs to the ships I mentioned. I profess I do not understand random battles at this point. The game is not fun at tiers VIII and above. The lower tiers seem to less subject to crazy RNG and RPS. Perhaps you can discuss these factors and lower tiers like T7 down to T5.

I'd recommend turning off battle chat and only use the ingame F-key commands. They are enough to coordinate with anyone who can think for themselves and already has a sense for the game - but it saves you from having to deal with the poor sportsmanship from about 90% of the players these days. As the skill has gone down, the toxicity has gone up. May just be an EU problem, but it has gotten worse in the last couple years.
I love how people talk like this game takes some special skill, or lots of experience to get good at. It's a simple arcade game people! Even if a new player does P2P a high tier ship, they may struggle with it at first, but it really don't take long to get used to any ship in the game. The one thing that can create a slight gap between new players and old is getting a 10 point commander ( especially for DD players ), then getting a 21 point commander. But honestly most ships can do fine with a 10 point commander. Some ships like secondary brawling BBs I would suggest at least a 14 point commander so you can have your secondary gun skills plus one tanky skill.
I do well in the makarov (Yes that give away/throw away Soviet Ship from Santa Crates). Some reason its awesome for me. Same goes for the Jurua. Hi, thanks for the videos. Brand new; would you go with a starter pack? or free? I have steam, xbox one for xbox for pc, does it matter which to install? in 2024? Subscribed and following. Thanks!
Can't find fun. Was doing okay for a few days. Logged on last night and absolutely could not win. Literally had one game where only 25% of what I fired in the Colorado hit, and every single hit was 1240. That's ludicrous. Didn't matter what I fired at, 25% hit rate. Didn't matter what I hit or where, 1240 hit points. No way that's legitimate. Every single game, one side fell immediately. That might happen in some games. But not 7 out of 7 games, at least. Logged off twice and took a break. Exact same results for three sessions. Got two emails from wargaming yesterday, telling me how great I was doing. Ludicrous.
Totally OT, but if people haven't heard, Jingles announced he's been diagnosed with cancer. So if anyone wants to drop by and send good wishes, please do.
A first, I don't agree. The reason is perhaps obvious though, I'm a DD main and love speed and maneuverability. The American BBs are the most painful class for me, way too slow.
Randoms are too much of just that: too random. 15 humans a side on most maps makes it pure luck on who will win. Skill is crowded out by the numbers. Even late at night with bots making up half the teams, it's just too random to really be consistently fun. Ranked is better IMO, with more skill able to have an impact on the game. Operations is nice for relaxing. CoOp is useful for trying new ships and figuring out how they work and when you're reeeally tired and just things to go boom - or you're doing Naval Battles over the weekend and it's a "number of hits" weekend and you just need targets to hit.
Carriers cause they are the most op ships and you will make people rage to the point of uninstalling the game. As long as you don’t want to get into the competitive scene and want to farm tears of enemy players.
Helldivers 2 ALL THE WAY!!! will always come back to WoWS and Mechwarrior/Battletech games, but Helldivers 1 was great, and 2 is even better, SWEET LIBERTY we must manage DEMOCRACY!!
It'd be great if everyone just played the game to have fun. There is just a constant stream of toxic tryhard jackasses who rip into the chat and report half the team because things aren't going great. I'd love some steel ships, but ranked is so nasty, I just can't bring myself to deal with it.
If you want an easy ship to play, get a CV. If you want to do good, waste real money on a premium. If you want to cause terror in the hearts of other players, get a submarine. If you want to be a Buzz Lightyear clone meme, play a sniping BB or HE spam cruiser. If you want to be a gigachad, unlock Bismarck, press only W and repeat :D
This game ohh hell where do we start. There are glaring problems. Devastating strike is one of them but it kinda rarely happends unless you know what you are doing. No it is the freaking economy and what not that drags it down! if you whant to be a free to play player good luck as a newbie! you are going to loose money in tier 4 to tier 8. Than tier 9 and 10? ohh hell you are doomed. So the problem is progression. Very simply put a 5year old player have a huge ass advantage over you in ship knowledge and yup captain skills. that is a problem. But that problem goes away with time so meh. The economy is a real problem... you need premium ships and you need to do events just to get a chance to get them. Than we have cruisers... behind islands and pew pew and all BBs and evaryone else is like yeah go figures. He spammers and AP spammers you name it we got it. Than we have dds various of torps run and gun... they are fun if you know them. But not so much fun when there is a freaking stupid carrier than you need aa protection... good luck! CVs are a pain in the ass... as a CV driver myself cause funny to piss ppl off i can defo see where they are comming from... But not really but get ready to get hated on. Subs I think people hate subs cause subs are freaking stupid at this point. But the real problem for a new player is get good and fast. The economy is really bad as a free to play player so good luck.
The state of this game now is absolute trash... everyone hiding behind islands, Sub torps that can reach you, that you can't fire back on, with torps doing even more damage now at distance. Literally one CV fly over = half an entire BB gone, finished by a couple of torps from who knows where, equates to everybody island humping. The meta then becomes, whom can ever fire over the islands they are humping. Hahaha pathetic, not fun not enjoyable
One thing I need answered is why the fuck you play with such a low field of view. I don't care for the advantage of seeing more, what I care about is that having a low field of view worpes the proportions of your ship making it look so goofy. Pls answer cause it makes my eyes bleed and I need answers

Hi, thanks for the videos. Brand new; would you go with a starter pack? or free? I have steam, xbox one for xbox for pc, does it matter which to install? in 2024? Subscribed and following. Thanks!
Surprised as the word what in the title.
No no sealord US BB line is definitely not beginner friendly The IJN were far more beginner friendly than the US line
Nope Izumo and up get the cheek citadel that beginners often don't know about
Tomato/Tomato.
How do I load a battle I play on TH-cam
Saving for a big tractor in Farm Sim 22
The helldivers cutaway
Your B-Roll should match your commentary. approximately.
Please, you will make me very happy if you throw now and then some HD2 videos
Well said, Sea Lord!
Ratio matters in this game
Just make sure to avoid the british submarine line. Unless you are a masochist.
I like pain 😂
The americans BB's are like Goku.....
It is fun, does not require a huge amount of time to play it, it's free..still a good game..
Dark Forces remastered came out today
7:09 XD
Should I start playing wows in 2024?
If you're interested, check it out, its free to play, I wouldn't recommend spending any money until you're sure whether or not you like the game
Any ship you enjoy ......
Or you can form a team and play just subs untill WG fixes them.
should make a video on if this game is worth playing
If you don't think this game is worth playing, just don't play it. You don't really need someone to make a video about what to do in your free time.
@j_taylor There are hundreds of videos is this game worth playing in (insert date here) On TH-cam, it's about weighing the pros and cons
@@hollandsgamingcenter There are videos telling people to do every darn thing. If that's what you want, I guess you are spoiled for choice.
@j_taylor not spoiled dumb, it's just important to show people the cons of this game
The best part is you can play this fun game for free!!!!!
I find myself playing Ops
Damn that hell divers ain’t age well 😂😂
Yea... Sorry Seabro I didn't make it through yesterday's video, cause I just care that little about try hard tournaments.
About 10 min in video, sub vs sub ramming... that's superb content
Easy. HMS Helldivers 2.
Helldivers 2 ALL THE WAY!!! will always come back to WoWS and Mechwarrior/Battletech games, but Helldivers 1 was great, and 2 is even better, SWEET LIBERTY we must manage DEMOCRACY!!
But...but.....did you win? ;)
French flag in a Yammi...Viva la Revolucion!
Eez only game. Why you get upset?
answer: uninstall the game
I played a lot less in 2024.
subs. full stop.
Hello
Japanese cruisers
Subs..... only play subs and cvs, hahah😂😂😂
What to play in 2024, play everything except this game... best play...
Correct. Play Helldivers 2 instead, the fun factor will increase by 1,000,000%.
Brawling with 1 CV on the other team hahaha auto-report that CV even on my team.
Boycott this game until they bring back old BB secondaries!!
Don't play this game at all. CVs and Subs have ruined this game. After clocking 4000 hours I had enough!!
what should i play in 2024? Anything but this trash monetized as fuck gambling game
Just play Robocop. Or Last Epoch - waaaay better than Diablo IV.
One thing I need answered is why the fuck you play with such a low field of view. I don't care for the advantage of seeing more, what I care about is that having a low field of view worpes the proportions of your ship making it look so goofy. Pls answer cause it makes my eyes bleed and I need answers
