Benjie, the Halibut spots are by the NW area off the Spanish Landing Rocks near Harbor Drive Bridge and between the ASW naval Base just off their recreational boat docks in the channel 15th-20ft deep, get some live sardines or grub lures, they are huge catches in that area!

I’ve been out trying to catch fish inshore, the jetty and pier. I haven’t had any luck. Idk what I’m doing wrong. I’m just close to giving up.

haha man, it sunk so slowly but I couldn't do anything about it. Def a bummer but at the end of the day, it's just gear (thankfully not TOO expensive either lol). Friendship and making memories are far more important!

sweet action man...lots of fish in a short period. damn sucks you lost your rod and reel!....I texted you last week when you called me i was on vacation so not sure if it went through. Gonna go fishing next weeek for sure weather is warming up and the boys really want to fish so I'll get the skiff in the water next week. If you wanna meet us in the scout we can set it up. Gonna probably get some live bait or maybe just use some squid and shrimp to get some sculpin and sheephead.

Fishing should be getting good now we are gonna go sometime this week or next so i'll let you know how it goes. I used to use clips for all my rods when I had the inflatable just in case. I used old cell phone cords and used caribeeners.

haha def a bummer, but its ok! I wouldn't want to let that get in the way of a great day on the water. It was a brand new Phenix M1...I think the second time I took it out.
