TNs are the best airmaxes in my opinion. The designs are cool af and the technology is just amazing. Airmax plus' and airmax 97s are the most cultured sneakers in the airmax line. They have history. Thanks to nike and footlocker we got these amazing shoes also thanks to sean mcdowell we got the classic TNs with its ICONIC design i just really love em PS: I bought these yesterday and im happy with them they are really comfy! The design grew on me really fast

But I’ve got so much stuff at the moment, so I’m very picky this year on what I actually get, and I actually have a list of targets at this point. This colorway sold out quickly over here, though. I don’t remember these from back in the day, but if it came out in ‘99, then it was around the time that I was kind of moving away from Nike because they were kinda expensive.

I think Nike Air compared to React, ZoomX etc is a different value proposition. Nike Air is firmer than many foams but still offers acceptable softness, excellent responsiveness and superb consistency over the life of the shoe: it feels pretty much the same from the day you bought it to the day one of the bubbles pop...and unless you step on a nail, that will be long after most foams have totally become bricks. Of course, you can wear your Air Maxes for 5 minutes and step on a nail and they're pretty much gone, as opposed to foam shoes which can easily take multiple nails that will have no impact on comfort (as long as they don't piece the insole!). It depends on where you use the shoes and what you value, but I am still happy to wear Air Max 2017s all day.
It's cool to think you still have the OG pair. 🤘 IMO, I hope they'll have the Jason Kidd retro in the future. Those were the pair I wish I own back in the day.
It was the weird Colorway and that reflective color why many didn’t go for this shoe when it first came out. But there was another shoes I had around the same time this shoe came out and it as a fire shoe. It was black, yellow and while and I’m surprised Nike never reissued it. I think it had the same sole design as this shoe.i think if they had more colors of this shoe, I think it would’ve done better, but I only seen the two you have in the video. Funny how you say back when they were coming out with wild styles back then. Dies that mean they are lacking now bc I just got back into sneaker collecting and haven’t kept up. Around 97 to 2003, Nike was coming out with some great shoe designs and it felt l every month a new shoe was out. Oh and I just had a flashback and the shoe I was talking about had this layer white fabric that was bunched up in the back heel.
These are dope, the Skepta Air Max 97's were based off of these I believe and since I can't get those I got the pair that it was inspired by. They're tight to get on tho, still a dope shoe. Glad I got them and most likely wear them in the fall/water
I think they are actually pretty dope I wouldn’t mind a pair but I know these are some outlet specials so I might wait it out because that color changing upper is really nice almost reminds me of a more green and orange Iridescent form of the eggplant foams
I never owned a pair of the OGs but looking at these and the AM+3 retros, I am not convinced that these and the AM+3 actually have tuned air. If you look at the AM+ retros there is a very clear difference in the spheres. I think these are more traditional pillars rather than actual tuned air spheres. They also reduced the forefoot airbag taking the TN spheres out of it and having the 2021 version just a normal air bag.
Saw your review on another colorway one or two years ago, since then whenever I see this modelI think of you :) But yeah I mean, not my type but it's similar to all the 2000-ish Air Max's like the 97-98 imo, so dope shoe for sure !

I’m a @d_airmax_addict so I also got the the blue aqua orange pair that came out that year or the year after think it was called the AirMax Deluxe I owned the in the 90? But the both soles crumbled . I love AirMax like how everyone love air Jordan 1s 😂
