To be fair I would also be scared of Rhaenys Targaryen
I believe he is the son of Laenor because Adam was able to claim Seasmoke which was Laenors Dragon, as Corlys himself isn’t Dragonseed

@@drrohanjacob Yea but I don’t think that means he’s sterile. In the books Rogan Baratheon thought himself not able to have children from all the times he tried with his first wife until he married Alyssa Valeryon and had 2 kids by her. I think what he and Rhaneryra were talking about was maybe he just wasn’t attracted enough to have sex with her. Because Corlys himself is of Valerian blood but can’t bond with a dragon. From what we know so far, that’s a Targaryen feature. I can’t think of any logical way Adam bonded with that Dragon other than him being the son of Laenor who is the son of Rhaeneys Targaryen

Small correction: Tessarion was riderless during the battle because Daeron got killed in the fighting. Sea Smoke was the only dragon with a rider during that deadly three way battle.

Correction: At 2:20 Tessarion fought without his rider and Daeron died on the ground.
I like to believe, daeron. Made it unto tessarion and was fighting seasmoke until they saw the riderless vermithor raging and was crushed In the aftermath explaining the lack of a body
I’m surprised you didn’t mentioned Oakenfist’s involvement in the Conquest of Dorne. He was a vital element in Daeron I’s campaign.
They bring that up several times in the novels, but we don’t know enough details about the campaign to sufficiently highlight his achievements. If memory serves, all The World of Fire and Ice says on the subject is “Alan sailed his vessels up the Green Blood and broke the Planky Town.” But beyond that, the details of Alan’s military achievements and the rest of Daeron’s Conquest are minimal at best. I guess we won’t know until Fire & Blood Part 2 comes out.

I'm a big fan of the Velaryons, a Valyrian family that followed the Targaryens after the Doom and whose members are known to many as some of the best sailors in A Song of Ice and Fire.
As Corlys said, history does not remember names, It remembers blood hahaha he snuck both children as Laenor's, still their family and carry the Velaryon name for him.
