I was torn choosing between the fx one and fx ultralite one. I am an ultra runner who prefer durability and longevity of the poles more than its light weight. I’m so glad that I found your video and rightly choose the normal fx one instead. I am expecting to use the poles for 5 years and up. I’ll let you know how long it will last. 😅

These have been great for me! I’ve put WAY more miles on these without issue than I did with the superlites. If I ever need another set I’d go with these again 👌🏻
looking to get a pair of these for cocodona. I am 6'1 and by size says I should be a 130 wanted to ask if a 135 might be a better option? how big of a difference does that extra 2" make?
Did you get them? What size did you end up with? I'm also 6'1" and I'm looking at getting these poles. I was thinking of sizing down to 125 for easier uphills. That's the length that I size my BD Alpine Carbon Cork for hiking. Interestingly, the BD pole size guide out me at 125 and Leki put me at 130. These will be my first trail running poles so unsure about sizing.
i won't ever buy leki poles again, but not for the reason of similar failure to what you experienced. frankly no carbon pole is meant to experience anything but compression (on-axis pressure). that means no twisting or bending...carbon poles all break under such circumstance. doesn't matter the brand. i won't buy leki poles again because the shark fin thing is too easily subject to failure (rips of the loop from the fin), not covered by warranty and costing $50 if available to replace AND much worse, various segments of the poles get stuck over time such that pole will no longer be collapsible for a $200+ pole, this can't happen and not be considered for replacement under warranty as is the case for leki. so...i won't ever buy leki poles again. whenever i've had similar or other warranty issues with BD poles, they've come through with relatively little hassle to make me whole.
Yeah I feel you. I love the shark though. I bought a set of Lekis Nordic skiing grips and those have lasted me thousands of miles as my original one ripped, too.

I had a set for a good 2-3 years before snapping them both on accident so it’s possible! The fx one is definitely my go to pole for trail running!
Just got some as my first set of poles last week! Im 5'8 and went with the 125cm. Trying to get used to them for Broken Arrow 46k in June!
Those will serve you well out at broken arrow!!

Oh if you’re 6’1” you should get the 135 for sure, no doubt. It makes a huge difference
