My best bet is that this song was gonna be used in the scrapped “charge of the light brigade scene”. In an early script the 84-85 auto bots were supposed to make a desperate charge against the deceptions, I think after Prime’s death and probably in an act of revenge. We were gonna see even more on screen deaths and it probably would’ve been brutal, and would have definitively axed more characters. I’m surprised they didn’t put this in considering how gruesome this movie could get. EDIT: this is just a guess btw, a lot of these songs hadnt been allocated to a scene while being made, so im probably wrong
It's actually right before the scene where Optimus meets Megatron, there was a scene where Magnus leads a group against Devastator and I believe a few people are gunned down before Megatron comes in through a hallway (which is why in the final version, he's just kind of staring off screen). There's also another scene where Magnus is ripped limb from limb. There's also another charge scene that was proposed to happen but it was never written.
You said it brother, mine took place about three years ago, about to get married now with someone who actually cares and loves me, but I still feel bitter towards the ex lmao.
Since people have asked for it in the comments, here are my best attempts to transcribe the lyrics. There were a few parts I was somewhat unsure on, but after repeated listening these seem to be mostly, if not entirely, accurate. Take no prisoners, you'd be better off alone Love's too demanding Love's a weapon and it cuts right to the bone Right where you're standing Looking back, you've done this part With a surefire cure for the broken heart No mercy Gotta get away, cause you just don't know how you hurt me Gotta get away, cause you just won't show me no mercy Crimes of passion, yes, I know I'm guilty still And empty-handed You passed your sentence then you closed in for the kill Leaving me stranded I don't want your sympathy Or the stone-cold shoulder you've been giving me No mercy Gotta get away, cause you just don't know how you hurt me Gotta get away, cause you just won't show me no mercy I gotta get away, cause you just don't know how you hurt me Gotta get away, cause you just won't show me no... Your heart's like a frozen fire, yeah And you've been walking that same high wire All tells how I chose no mercy for you No mercy Gotta get away, cause you just don't know how you hurt me Gotta get away, cause you just won't show me no mercy Gotta get away, you just don't know how you hurt me Gotta get away, cause you just won't show me no mercy Oh-oh! Oh-oooooooh! Oh-oh! Oh-oh!
for the "Looking back, you've done this part" to me it sounds more like "looking back , you're thrilled this one"' i did not hear a "yeah" at the "Your heart's like a frozen fire" (which is my fave part of the song) otherwise that transcription is still pretty well interpretated, nice job, perhaps we will never know about the true lyrics of such an obscure song like this one, but that is a nice atempt. that is interesting how this isn't really a song about the transformers or the events of the film (unless no mercy is a reference to Megatron's actions) but more about sentimental feelings so it would be hard to think it was sung for a Transformers film i know english isn't my first tongue, sorry
And when I saw this for sale at a comic-con I neglected to buy it. It was just too much despite being the exclusive it was. Besides, I already had the entire TTTM score/soundtrack sorted out & in perfect order by then. (Wow, over a decade ago now.) I didn't know gems like this were hidden inside. This tune is dope. Wasn't this supposed to be in the movie originally? I can see it fitting into the spirit of the movie, but I wonder what part of the film it would have flowed with best. Maybe a scene that was cut? Shit, now I want an extended cut of the movie. I hate impossible dreams. heh :(
ballandpaddle I knew about an extension of the battle of Autobot City, but I didn't know about a training montage. But it sounds like it'd fit with that, yeah.
According to Vince DiCola he said that the song was never picked up for some reason. He never said what scene it was intended for, just that it was a song he wrote for the film
yeah, but mine are an estimate and not official, plus the OP's comment already existed when i made my lyrics comment. it was actually the comment that inspired me to try writing 'em out

What was that scene?

that's frustrating how the most badass and interesting scenes are often the ones which got cut in american-made films
Yet another song that never made it into the movie! These are rare gems!
As someone who went through a less-than-pleasant break-up not too long ago, this song does a good job of summing up my feelings.
You said it brother, mine took place about three years ago, about to get married now with someone who actually cares and loves me, but I still feel bitter towards the ex lmao.
Can not wait till Cybertronic Spree has the cover for this done!
they're doing a cover of this?!
It so goddamn good!
After watching Rocky 4 after remembering DiCola did the soundtrack for that film, this should’ve been used in Rocky 4. This is such a fire track

Take no prisoners, you'd be better off alone
Love's too demanding
Love's a weapon and it cuts right to the bone
Right where you're standing
Looking back, you've done this part
With a surefire cure for the broken heart
No mercy
Gotta get away, cause you just don't know how you hurt me
Gotta get away, cause you just won't show me no mercy
Crimes of passion, yes, I know I'm guilty still
And empty-handed
You passed your sentence then you closed in for the kill
Leaving me stranded
I don't want your sympathy
Or the stone-cold shoulder you've been giving me
No mercy
Gotta get away, cause you just don't know how you hurt me
Gotta get away, cause you just won't show me no mercy
I gotta get away, cause you just don't know how you hurt me
Gotta get away, cause you just won't show me no...
Your heart's like a frozen fire, yeah
And you've been walking that same high wire
All tells how I chose no mercy for you
No mercy
Gotta get away, cause you just don't know how you hurt me
Gotta get away, cause you just won't show me no mercy
Gotta get away, you just don't know how you hurt me
Gotta get away, cause you just won't show me no mercy
Oh-oh! Oh-oooooooh!
Oh-oh! Oh-oh!
This is pretty on point, thank you for this.
Would be nice if we could pin this. Thank you for transcribing the lyrics!

It sounds like “Until someone shows no mercy with you” to me
@@AstroBlitz64yeah I agree. This is the only correction that needs to be made. (I’m assuming you are referring to 2:16 )
God damn is this badass

I'm sure I heard somewhere it was to be used for a potential female Decepticon romance hence the lyrics but I think it was scrapped
One Dislike? Unicron?
Used in Sailor Moon Crystal Meets Transformers: Devastation (2024)
Is there any confirmed full lyrics for this song? I've searched everywhere and I can't find them.
there is Accel comment as a reminder

Is it me or does the beginning sound like an sm64 song
What?
He makes songs?
@@Magodosverbos he's talking about the game
yes
Very N64 sororities
I wish Thunderwing had this for his theme song.
Lyrics? Anyone?
I think it would be in a Karate Kid movie than a Transformers movie.
Or Cobra Kai.
The 15 first seconds :c
