The problem with moralism is that it is just the same problem moved up: Morality as a god over gods, somehow morality have to be over gods, and that makes no theological or philosophical sense, as Gods proscribe morality. Honestly that sounds just sad
Deity girl tried to have a child of her own because thats what all deities were supposed to and because she was lonely as she didnt have a partner
Then the child naturally comes out weird because it was created differently from others, so it is thrown away
The child, lonely but exceptionally powerful creates a whole universe of their own and thinking it is the only thing in existence believes itself to be the only deity out there
Of course, being a child with no moral guidance and not understanding how to treat others because it had no one, because it was literally thrown away, things go south with their creation very quickly
Then the child's mother regretting what she did either due to true guilt or because it turns out her child is too powerful, tries to go there to talk
The child, alone in their entire existence, doesnt want to let the mother go and traps her
Naturally, the other gods try to intervene, but that only upsets the child further thinking they want to steal the mother away, so it lashes out and attacks them
Surprisingly, the child wins because it is just that powerful, like the Broly of the gods, no wonder it thinks of itself as the true god
This results in the child, being a greedy kid, taking away some of the divinity of the deities who tried to strike it down and using it for their own creation
Of course the gods wouldnt let that slide and want to end the child's reign of terror over their own universe, so they send in a "saviour"
This saviour brings magical knowledge that allows the beings trapped within the child's universe to flee it, hoping to free the mother that way
These beings do so, because they see the child god as nothing more than a sadistic tyrant and rightfully so
But to the child all that is happening is that the other deities attacked it again, not only wanting to steal the mother but also it's toys/pets that they made, which only make the child more heartbroken and furious
And having never been taught how to deal with these feelings, it continues to lash out against it's creation and the other gods while having their mentality that they're the only god that matters reinforced by the other deities's actions, their cruelty towards it and use of subterfuge to steal what is theirs instead of fighting them like they attempted last time
Thus the child's cruelty and desperation increases, even though all it ever wanted was to be accepted and loved like any child without their parent
    Its a tragedy

So when the dream ends, and the sleeping god awakens, the children of Eve are saved, being rooted in the dreaming God, but the children of lillith, the tares, were never real to begin with. This was just fantastic. Yaldabaoth being motivated by the "wouldn't it be funny if" principle is an entirely accurate and hilarious observation. Gnosticism has been the only Abrahamic mythology that's ever made any kind of sense to me because of how much effort was put into fitting the existing Tanakh into the perspective of the kind of new agey hippy spiritualist that Jesus is usually interpreted/depicted as. History's winners in this case just ignored all the massive plot holes, but Gnostics actually did the work and expanded the lore to have everything make sense to people who like, y'know, aren't morally reprehensible. It's always been fascinating to me, but it's of course dense and there is no canon and it's way more concerned with spirituality than myth making and narrative so it can be hard to parse.
This animation really, REALLY does a great job putting all of that together in a really fun way. I really hope you do more of this, in particular I'm looking forward to the Gospel of Judas.

      regarding the three answers:
if he has a plan for everything, knows past present and future, free will does not exist (just the illusion), or he only knows all the possibilities, and is manipulating everything so it happens as he wants, he knows what "each and everything is going to lead to" and allows it to happen makes so it happen.
YHWH created the natural order, he created the nature of things, he created the nature of human beings, he created the rules. so sin exists because god made them exist, anyone could argument that "hell is the separation from god", and god if existent, was the one that created both of these concepts, as there is no higher nature, he does not have "rules to follow" or "a boss". so he created sin, he created the concept of separation from himself(it is not something that pre-exists him). the same applies to "the devil" god allowed him to exist, god allowed him to corrupt people, god created hell, god created suffering in one way or another because he created everything.
so either he is apathetic, and sometimes intervenes because its fun(like a game/simulation developer) or he is indeed all seeing/all powerful all the time, and is just plain humanly evil, in the sense that the logic he created also reveals himself as evil (since he created math and the rules of the universe).

@@MigWithThe second argument is pretty bad, because God follows his own rules, the one that created the rules, followed them when he incarnated as Jesus, the world hell is a mistranslation of multiple words, Hades, Gehenna, Tartarus, Sheol, and for the most part it hell refers to grave, which is the opposite of life and the dead are located, while the other times it refers to fire or in the cause of Tartarus, where the fallen angels are imprisoned, which Tartarus is a word only used one time.
Separation of life is dead, basically if life exists is the opposite is death. That is why the concept of separation from life, being God in this case cause he is the author of life, will lead to death.
Basically if something exists, then the opposite is posible, it depends which one comes first. If goodness exists, then evil will come to exist, because it is the opposite, the same with energy, heat, life, love, etc.
This will depend on which come first and can exist by itself, although people go to far and create the extreme opposite of one thing, the concept of all consuming fire does exist in the Bible, but the concept of hell as we know it culturally, which was conflated with the lake of fire from revelation, doesn’t exist within the text, unless you include the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, but since it’s a story to teach a lesson, it should be taken as a literal place.

As such he is present through avatars, what not individually but collectively represent him. Those are so called Ophanim aka Thrones (what Christians call Seraphim).
That include trinity of Archangels: King of Angels aka Voice of God Metatron (the guy on emerald throne), King of Sheol Sandelphon aka Abaddon, who rule over Living Beasts (what Christians call Cherubim), who is also boss of Satan. And the Arbiter, Archangel of Wisdom Raziel Helel aka The Christ.
Anyway. Angels were banned from entering into domain of the creation, because creation fallow laws of nature and not the morality. But access was not blocked, because God in fact wanted angels to have free will and they needed option for disobedience. With taking all consequences of abandoning divine protection to hypocritically blame God for that.
Archangel of Justice Samael didn't get the memo and was outraged when spirits fallow Azazel (First Fallen, completely irrelevant Goat Angel of Rage) and called for ban on they return. Only to find out that Raziel descend on Earth to bring them back. He accused him of fall and was trying sabotage his work, only to find out that Raziel is personification of the God.
As agreement Samael was replaced on duty by Michael and become angel of death, with access to material realm. From that point he become known as Satanael. God's Prosecutor. With this role he can seduce evil people to destroy themselves and prove his point.
Important note! Satan is not and never was fallen! In bible straight fallow orders from God (seriously, did anyone read Job, where he randomly show up in heaven?). Prophecy of Revelation reveal that it would fall on the day of the end, ending this dispute. Until that, he is technically correct as humanity in fact suck.

And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgement, than for that city.
Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. And a person's enemies will be those of his own household.
Your father Abraham rejoiced at the thought of seeing my day; he saw it and was glad.
Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
Jesus was a Jew, a practicing one. He got circumcised, went to synagogues and studied the Torah that was passed down through Moses. He frequently quoted the prophets that hold YHWH monotheism fervently (Isaiah, Jeremiah, Jonah etc.) to describe himself.
Trying to cut Jesus from his Jewish roots is entirely nonsensical; might as well throw it all away and become a pagan neoplatonist

I was thinking about this yesterday. If you had a single Cosmic consciousness, it's first act could plausibly be to create other conscious beings. The Consciousness might partition part of its Self like the way a cell (the basic unit of Physical Life) partitions or buds off new cells. The Gnostic concept of the Monad that gives rise to Aeons (and so on) seems to be a Metaphysical analogy for a process of Conscious partition and/or replication.

Makes more sense than the mainstream interpretation of the Bible in which people perform mental acrobatics to make the demonic and hateful deity Yahweh out to be benevolent somehow. The story of Jacob and Esau makes way more sense when you realize Yahweh respects chutzpah, boldness and sneakiness above all else. And yeah, he protects Cain rather than punishing him, so it would make sense that he actually gets a kick out of watching people kill each other, especially considering what happens in the Book of Joshua. Yahweh orders the Israelites to carry out like a dozen different genocides. Crazy to think about how so many people worship Yaldabeoth, just under a different name. One of the main reasons I was an atheist as a little kid rather than believing what I was told was how little sense it made for Jesus and Yahweh to be parts of the same triune God when Jesus was quite peaceful while Yahweh is a war god and god of storms and metallurgy who drowns mankind.

Two things need to be noted.
"Gnostic" is a term coined in 17th. Adherents considered themselves Christians, and gnosticism was typically taught as an "inner school" of Christianity, something for a select few and not regular members.
There were MANY schools of gnostic thought, each with their own number of aeons, their names for the demiurge, their own philosophy on the nature of sin and salvation, and their own take on how Logos and Sophia conspired to restore the divine sparks trapped in the material world, and so on. It was NOT as monolithic as the video makes it out to be.

Many other “Gnostics” however believed that any individual can achieve self-enlightenment.

Adam is actually symbolic of God, he goes to sleep. It is not good for God or Adam to be alone, so he rests on the 7th day, and creates all of us. Eve was taken out of Adam, but the Bible never says he woke up. Lillith, his first wife, was NOT taken out of Adam and is rebellious. So when the dream ends, and the sleeping god awakens, the children of Eve are saved, being rooted in the dreaming God, but the children of lillith, the tares, were never real to begin with. Where can I find legit gnostics? I remember trying to find a gnostic church several years ago and found one in the us that was super far, didn't seem like they took gnosticism seriously and rarely held actual services

@@NTJV there's a few in the United States varying in theology and practices. There's a few meditation courses run by some Gnostic groups. I work with The Gnostic Catholic Union. There a collection of different Gnostic Philosophies groups and churches. They only use the term Catholic as in the Latin sense of Universal as there a Union of different Gnostic groups in alliance with one another. Most Gnostic groups start of or stay as private courses. Unfortunately because of the heavy persecution and genocide committed against the Gnostics. Gnostic Christianity has to rebuild itself. It however is now growing in popularity again thankfully. It's such a shame as at one stage Gnostic Christianity was the most popular and largest form of Christianity

Thank you for the support! I hope you enjoy the series I know there was some (obvious) artistic liberty taken when combining aspects of the various Gnostic Myths. I am curious about a couple of things since I began looking into the Gnostica Ecclesia a while back here's the questions I would ask:
1: Do you consider yourselves to be the "true" Christians or would you rather abandon that label?
2: Among the various churches I've seen none of you seem to have a bible or canon I'm curious as to why, I've seen a few point to the "Gnostic Bible," but that's just a collection of various Gnostic texts, mostly from Nag Hammadi? Basically would your groups be averse to compiling a bible for any reason? (Because I was compiling my own Gnostic Bible because someone asked me to.)
3: I assume for the most part that you don't take the Gnostic myths like the one shown in this video as true, but I am curious what exactly is the modern Gnostic's stance on Yahweh, is he evil, a lesser god, simply fiction, or something else entirely?

@@ParryMegistus my comments are getting censored now. Yaldabaoth is the ignorance and ego of self and lower state of conciousness. Read the Gospel of John in Greek I translated its complete diffrent to what they show the public. The Gnostic bible are Not the Gnostic writing's they have been majority edited. Get or read the Nag hammadi instead. Many blessings I hope this helps

Good intro to Gnosticism anyway, very good for first timers trying to understand it, a bit too summarized at times maybe, but it's enough to get the idea and whoever is truly interested should have no problem diving deep into it 👍🏻🖤🏴‍☠️

Very surface level but informative nonetheless. The first 200 years of Christianity were an absolute wild west, and at one point the Gnostic interpretations of Christianity came quite close to becoming mainstream. The historical context of all this isn't just "a bunch of edgy trolls came together to write fan-fiction". Look up the books such as "The Gnostic Paul" by Elaine Pagels and the works of Bart Ehrman. There are a few historical mysteries that, if resolved, would definitely help us uncover which groups were correct.

Doesn’t pull away from the fact that an all Loving God cannot create a realm containing Evil because then he would have to know Evil, making him not All Loving

    • @innocentsmith6091
      @innocentsmith6091 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

No they weren't. The people who knew Jesus personally, the eyewitnesses to the events, founded Christianity. Christians knew that Gnostics were BS because their Church came from the source.
Also, Bart Ehrman is a hack who sews doubt into the authenticity of the Bible in his public writing ("Bible manuscripts are full of tons of variations!"), but basically admits their complete reliability in his scholarly writing ("The variants are mostly spelling, grammar, etc, and don't change any of the meaning whatsoever.").
