This was very informative. I was shaping before the activator and only putting maybe 3 layers which showed every dip in my nails. Will try your way this weekend. Thank you again.

Beautifully taught. Thank you. I've watched 4 of your videos and have learned from each one. Do you have a video that shows hie to keep your brushes from getting hard?

Which brush tip is getting hard? Is it the base coat brush or the top coat brush?

So informative! Thanks for producing & sharing!
For upward sloping (ski slope) nails, creating the apex is challenging. To create that curve, I need to avoid putting product on the free edge until the last few layers, so my nail shape at the end doesn't turn upward.
Question: Do you recommend starting with a full nail dip layer to create a foundation, & then building the apex on top of that? (For example, I need to build a turtle shell- avoiding the free edge, so I start with an oval in the middle that goes almost to my edges, building up my apex- with clear or natural nail colored powder-with smaller & smaller ovals in the middle of my nail until I reach my apex height preferred, then a final 2 layers of full nail dip application with color or glitter powder. & then capping it with a clear for filing. However, it's hard to create a smooth application with solid colors & not file down areas of color also.)
Or how would you recommend application for upward sloping nails?
Also, does not using the activator help the powder to be more flexible? (I've never tried it, but if the activator hardens/cures the powder+resin, would allowing the layers to "air dry/cure"- NOT using the activator-give it a little more flexibility, like hard gel?)
