As someone who wears classic and gothic lolita, I have to say you really nailed the classic style! It's hard to believe that you didn't know anything about the fashion before this collab! The colour scheme is so elegant and it's refreshing to see a lolita doll that isn't all pastels and pink, although I love seeing pastel sweet dolls too. I love the way all of the accessories have matching elements and little details, this is a key part of lolita fashion, and you two executed it perfectly. I hope you'll try to make a gothic lolita doll someday!
I end up disliking most "lolita" dolls because I think a lot of doll customizers are only vaguely familiar with the style and take a lot of cues from decora and fairy kei when it comes to coordinating/accessorizing. So even when they nail the dress it just seems like a lot of fashions put together. Not there's anything wrong with mixing styles but it's such a pet peeve of mine when they say "It's a lolita doll!" when they could just say "It's a J-fashion-inspired doll!"
@@cruellykawaii would you say this is the case with dollightfuls Lolita dolls I'm not entirely familiar with the fashion styles myself so I've always taken what she said is fact.
@@Beaniebabe305 personally as someone who Wears lolita fashion, her "lolita" dolls arent really full lolita. the dress part of the outfits she makes are quite close but other than that not really? its certainly lolita inspired, even more "casual" lolita but its more so j-fashion inspired than just lolita. i do love dollightful but what shes made isnt really fully lolita! she does wear j-fashion, but another style so shes kind of right? but not entirely.

I can't get over how amazing this Collab is. The passion and talent you have in creating your dolls is incredible, and gives me so much respect for the work you both do. It's honestly so inspiring❤️
I just started watching the video, and the intro is hilarious. I love the two phones thing, and Barb with all of the dolls when she answers. Looking forward to the rest of the video! Edit after finishing the video: the amount of times I said, "wow, that's brilliant" while I watched this - I especially loved the shoes from polymer clay. Well done, y'all!
This Lolita doll is so cute! She looks like she belongs in a Japanese Street fashion magazine! I’d love to see more Lolita dolls in your guys’ style! I love gothic Lolita too!
This is such a cool take on classic Lolita! Lovely Lor is a really great channel to learn more. There’s also a popular indie brand, Lady Sloth, that’s made in Poland ☺️
The doll is so beautiful, didn't realise Nia was meow in Japanese. Here in Wales its a very common name, the welsh version of irish name Niamh and a really interesting story of Tir Na Nog related to the name as well :)
This outfit is incredible! So many details and so well made 🥰 and her face up is beautiful and all the elements come together so beautifully, amazing job girls! ❤️❤️
Girls... you amaze me with every doll you make. You are incredible artists! The outfit Barb made was just perfect! And I absolutely loved the face Alex painted. 💖💖💖
I love ya'll's work. It's so great! A suggestion in case you make any leather bags for dolls in the future: glue some magnets for the closures. Particularly if there's a some fabric between them, magnets make excellent closures and are probably just as easy to use as velcro. The end doll is so cute! She definitely has main character vibes. Gothic Lolita is my favorite, so I hope you do dip back in at some point, I'd love to see what you do!
I know I am late to watching this but I like how in the intro whenever someone would call another person while still on the phone with someone else they would just grab another phone. I really love the doll as well its so pretty!
I am so so in love with her! It's so refreshing to see a different take on a very popular fashion style, she continues being a lolita girl but somehow very edited and modernized! Really really love that! Great job, girls!! P.s: love the background music 😍😍
She’s absolutely gorgeous.I love her face paint and the hair and tail are so pretty. The clothes are beautifully made as well as the accessories ,and you have paid attention to all the little details..Another wonderful creation girls 🥰
i just found your guys youtube and omg im absolutely obsessed with you guys, these dolls are absolute works of art that should be behind glass and a velvet rope only to be seen in a museum
this is gonna be cheesey. im autistic and have been struggling really badly with burnout and haven’t been able to leave my house for anything but work. i cannot thank you guys enough for the hard work and content you put out, because it has helped to keep me calm and company during this time.
my fav lolita types are hime lolita and gothic lolita. I adore how Nia turned out. My fav details are the purse and shoes as well as the colorful accents on the face up. I loved that mint green on the wig and wished it had showed more. It was neat to see you make the wig.
She looks absolutely gorgeous. My favorite parts were the dress fabrication, which I watched several times because it was so mesmerizing and impressive (and so lovely when it's done!) and the face-up, which turned out so good. I'm not always a fan of the smart-doll face-ups. I think I don't like the lost/blank expressions they often end up with or the teeny lips, but your face had personality and a much more believable features. Just loved everything. Well done, ladies. Thank you for sharing!
Watching your channel seriously is very relaxing to watch, your attention to detail is something unique and they have shown that in this video. i really enjoy watch Barb sewing and put details just like i love Alex put colors and shimmers on doll faces 😍❤❤❤

Y’all this video has me fully researching/considering Lolita fashion 😅 like it’s so cute??? My aesthetic is a little more cozy/simple/cottagecore but omg I didn’t realize how much overlap there is. Kinda goes without saying but love the doll too!
My favorite type of lolita's to personally wear is vintage lolita and retro lolita!! 😍😍 I dress this way my self and I love it! Also, lolita doesn't have to mean just dresses!! 😆😆
I really loved this three way collab! This is probably one of my favorite dress designs you've done, and this was such a lovely doll. I have two Delfs coming, and I may get a Smart Doll as my next doll because of this collab. *.*
Each and every collab you've ever done, I always love your dolls the best. Seems we have similar tastes!! She's so beautiful and her outfit and accessories are perfection!
A funny thing about the Lolita style is: if you make a mistake in your clothes just put on some lace and everything is fine 😂
And that my dear is how lacemonsters are born. nope.
Lol

it's so nice to see a lolita fashion inspired doll that isn't entirely pastel, very beautiful work
Agreed
Indeed! Sometimes to me it gets overwhelming to see all the pastel pink and purple and blue and all that
I like the pastels, but I do understand what you mean, there is very little variation
Theres lots of styles of lolita, not just light pastels so yee nicee
What an insanely beautiful doll 💕❤️😍💖 I am in love! Your skills and attention to detail is mesmerizing!! 💕
