This is an interesting one. I like the idea of a smaller compact scooter especially for shore dives where the primary location of the dive is a bit off-shore. Usually those type of dives come with an extended surface swim to conserve on air use prior to the decent or carrying a lot of gas. Either way, this could be a game changer. Thanks for the review.
A scooter that doesn't have to be tethered to my BC?! The travel aspect of this is amazing! For those of us who dive travel with knee issues, this might be just the thing.
It's the new Lefeet p1. You can get it on www.kickstarter.com/projects/lefeet-p1/lefeet-p1-versatile-underwater-scooter-with-modular-design or wait for them to start selling directly on their own website.
Absolutely, with proper supervision. As you can see, my kids, aged 9 and 7, can use it without any issues. The double mount was too much for my daughter at 7, but single was no issue. The design is user-friendly, but I always recommend adult supervision for younger users.
The P1 has the same issue. It's negatively buoyant and slightly more so than the S1 pro. There's a foam attachment coming that will combat this, but we have yet to try it out, so we don't know how much or how it'll work.
No, unlike the Scubajet, which you can get with a mounted light, the P1 does not come with any light options. I’m guessing you can somehow attach a light to the rails. Do be cautious if using it at night. You’re moving fast, and you might risk bumping into stuff underwater
Yes, and no. Most parts can be taken apart and switched out. So if something breaks, you can fix it. That said, if it happens on the water, you can’t do much. That’s the same for any underwater scooter. Most things I’ve had to fix on an underwater scooter are hair(from the pool) and seaweeds getting stuck in the Impeller. In most cases, you can get it out without taking it apart.

I love the slim design and long battery life and one hand control.. thank you for introducing the p1

What will it be like in full cold water gear, twins and 4-7c temp?
I’d like to know this, also!
Okay, we can try testing this as some point.
A scooter that doesn't have to be tethered to my BC?! The travel aspect of this is amazing! For those of us who dive travel with knee issues, this might be just the thing.
Finally, an easy travel DPV!
It's not so much a DPV as it's an underwater scooter, but easy to travel with and use underwater.
This is a great DPV. The ability to change batteries is key! Size is awesome. I could really make use of this on my dives.
How's the safety using this scooter?
The LEFEET P1 looks fun... I would love to have one :)
It is!
I have ordered one of these and look forward to using it. Unfortunately, it has been on back order for a while.
Omg. I need this one right now
Looks nice,, where did you get it from?
It's the new Lefeet p1. You can get it on www.kickstarter.com/projects/lefeet-p1/lefeet-p1-versatile-underwater-scooter-with-modular-design or wait for them to start selling directly on their own website.
This is sweet! Being far out though would make me nervous about it dying.
Nice one. Dont know if i will get one, but definitely want to try it
Overall how does it compare to the Waydoo? I have a couple of waydoos (via the kicstarter) but havent managed to use them yet.
Wow, definitely want a his one
Is it kids friendly?
Absolutely, with proper supervision. As you can see, my kids, aged 9 and 7, can use it without any issues. The double mount was too much for my daughter at 7, but single was no issue.
The design is user-friendly, but I always recommend adult supervision for younger users.
How many of these scooters can you link up?
I'm not sure. We've only linked up two.
But that's a good question.
Now i'm planning to get one of these ! :D
When it is used wint the legs kit you need something for driving it. It's difficult diving with the doble attached on your legs?
I personally don't like it attached to the legs. As I find the steering difficult I had to stay in an odd position to get propelled correctly.
Is the battery 🪫🔋 life really as good as they say?? 🤔 🤨
From my experience, the battery life on the P1 is solid. It lasted through all my tests without issues, which is great for longer sessions underwater.
I like it but I don't wanna buy on kickstarter. When will this be for sale in real stores?
I don't know. I'd guess within 6 months it'll be out in shops as well.
Is the battery life better than the S1 Pro? I found the S1 a bit lacking for longer dives
Yes! The P1 has a better battery than the S1 Pro. So you get longer time in the water and more fun :)
How is the buoyancy? That was mine main complaint about my S1, its not even close to neutral so I made a larger nose cone and filled it with foam
The P1 has the same issue. It's negatively buoyant and slightly more so than the S1 pro.
There's a foam attachment coming that will combat this, but we have yet to try it out, so we don't know how much or how it'll work.
@@DIVEindotcom Thanks for the info, the one I made works very well. Pretty simple design made on my 3D printer and filled with closed foam.
I've used the S1 Pro for my diving trips. Is the upgrade to P1 worth it?
No, I wouldn't. If you're happy with the S1 Pro and it meets your needs, you don't need to upgrade.
Does it have any cool features like LED lights for night dives?
No, unlike the Scubajet, which you can get with a mounted light, the P1 does not come with any light options. I’m guessing you can somehow attach a light to the rails.
Do be cautious if using it at night. You’re moving fast, and you might risk bumping into stuff underwater
Wow, definitely its good to have in your baggage for travel
Is it easy to fix if something goes wrong?
Yes, and no. Most parts can be taken apart and switched out. So if something breaks, you can fix it. That said, if it happens on the water, you can’t do much. That’s the same for any underwater scooter.
Most things I’ve had to fix on an underwater scooter are hair(from the pool) and seaweeds getting stuck in the Impeller. In most cases, you can get it out without taking it apart.
What is the depth limit for scuba 🤿 divers?
It has a dept rating of 197 feet / 60 meters. So, works for most dives.
Like the switch to USB-C charging of the main battery...
Yes, I used this on my last trip as I was all out of wallplugs. Worked great.
Can I bring this on a livaboard?
Yes, I'd assume. It's flight-safe, so I don't see any issue on a liveaboard. To be 100% sure contact the livaboard company before you go.
Wow, the P1 looks cool! Is it much better than the S1 Pro?
It's more powerfull, more compact and longer battery time. I'd suggest you to get the new one, but not change if you already have an S1 PRO.
The modular design seems nice for travel, but won’t it affect the scooter's performance?
Great question! I don’t see how it can compromise performance. I’d say that it makes the P1 versatile while it still has great power.
Pretty sweet, but at over a thousand dollars makes it a bit steep in price, but, hey, it's only money.
The only issue i guess is the battery time and recharge time... unless ur rich enuf to bring a lot of it
Yes, as with anything on battery that's the limit.

We're not the brand behind, but I do hope they'll give you one :)
Too high price for my chinchilla:(
Agree, but it's great fun for the money.
