I'm so glad I found you!!! You are gorgeous and it's so helpful and refreshing to actually watch videos done by women in my age range! I'm 50. It's wonderful to have a channel I can come to and watch videos done by someone who has the same issues I do. It cracks me up when a 25 year old complains about "her wrinkles" LOL. I, btw, call my wrinkles "life lines"!

Well, I don't know how much it's improving, but thank you. I use Retin A with Obagi Blender at night. Vitamin C serum in the morning, followed by Obagi Exfoderm or Exfoderm Forte, alternating them. Thank you! Melissa

Melissa, You've got to try Gerda Spillmann bio-fond foundation. You use a damp beauty blender and dap it on. It works and so natural.
Girl, you don't need any hi-lighter or bronzer or anything else for that matter!! You are just a "knock-out" Ms. Melissa!! You go girl!! Oh, I liked the tops as well, the last one the best! The first two would make me look 9 months pregnant, because normally, I look 4-5 months, lol!!

It takes me about an hour to do my make up. I just take my time, love to play with makeup and see what look comes out. Highlighters and lipsticks are my favorite. And eye shadow palettes, OH I JUST LOVE IT ALL!

I can't believe you are over 60 ! You are one of the most youthful people I have ever seen. I am 45 and am using generic Retin-A with great results. I think to think us southern women just age well! Unfortunatly that is not so true but we try.

I do love that those styles are back. They make us feel like we're 20-something again. This was like old times when you used to sit in your front window and put on your makeup. You won't believe this but I got an Artis brush for Christmas and have yet to use it. I need to get over my fear of using brushes for foundation. I think I have a fear of having to clean them! Laurie
You know, I did feel kind of back like I was wearing the same type of tops as when I was a teen. Except my jeans probably were very bell bottom and drug the floor! lol. I remember sitting in front of the window and putting on my makeup! Gosh I had forgotten that. I had the same feeling about the brushes,too. I just felt they would feel yucky from the oils in the foundation. But it really is a nice way to put on the foundation. I think I was 15 and remember some of my friends were getting on this flower painted VW and going to a place called "Woodstock", I lived in NH so it really wasn't that far.....But of course my parents wouldn't let me go....lol! Yea. I love the hippie thing and have since I was a little girl. But, it takes some style savvy to pull that off well. I buy mine from QVC, Lori Goldstein is the designer. I love the tie dyed look. I remember making loads of t-shirts when I was a teenager. All I ever wore were t-shirts for many years. You always have wonderful fashion sense. You don't have to apologize about the redness of your skin. You just have to explain why cause if you don't you'll be accused of some nefarious thing! Your makeup always looks beautiful. You look gorgeous inside & out. Always appropriate looking. Hello Melissa! I'm new to your channel and love that you have uncomplicated reasonable routines that real women can use. You get wonderful results without 80 products and 50 steps in the morning. I was looking for channels that don't feature 20 year olds, as we all know that skin on a 40+ is not like skin on a 20 year old. Your straightforward routines & explanations are fantastic!
Hello my beautiful boho girl! Loved those tops, they are so cute on you. And I love the earrings in this video too. Great foundation routine, I've found using less powder as I age is really better. However, I struggle with trying to cover the skin damage/age spots with sheer foundations. I've had the dermatologist hit them with the liquid nitrogen every few years, but it's not completely erased, but gets rid of the rough texture of those spots that makeup hangs up on. Hey Anne!!! aw, thank you so very much. I just can't do it with powders anymore. I might can do a cream to powder foundation or a the Bare Minerals when I am peeling. Now I've had good luck with this foundation covering up spots. It does a decent job. Oh girl, I would need my whole body Liquid Nitrogen-ed. lol. Lots of love, Melissa

I have to say, you have beautiful skin! You look good with or without make-up! That foundation and blush looks so pretty on you! I keep my foundation routine very basic, like you do. I have the Hourglass Mineral Veil primer, but I always seem to forget to use it! Everyone's been talking about that Tarte Concealer. I have to get me one! LOL. Love that lip combo too!! OMG, love those tops and your outfits too! I'm a BOHO Chic too! I put that website on my faves! LOL

I am surprised your blush doesn't grab to your foundation without powder. You look great. Thank you for sharing. I may have to try that foundation. I only use a BB cream but have to powder to help blush go on smoothly.
