Tuco's reunion with his brother at the mission was heart warming as well as a tear-jerker for me. Especially when he rocked him good into those statues. Brought back fond memories of my brother.

The "carriage of the spirits " scene was the central hinge of the whole film and magnificently played by Eli Wallach. Like a lot of the movie, you get the impression that Sergio Leone kept everybody out in the middle of nowhere getting hot, thirsty, and dirty until the takes ran just right for him. Would not have been an easy gig for the actors and production crew, let alone the unfortunate extras supplied by the Spanish Army.

The irony in this scene is perfect. Always loved Eli Wallach in his roles as a bandido (first roll was in Magnificant Seven). He was wonderful as Tuco.
I always thought "For a Few Dollars More" was the best until one day I came across GtBatU, it was instantly better by far and became my best Clint Eastwood cowboy film of all time. When it came out in 1966 I was 8 years old. For a Few Dollars More came out about 3 years earlier.
They were only a year apart and Eastwood was still working on tv show Rawhide when got the script for Fistful Of Dollars as was released in 1964 and wasn’t a established movie star yet. The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly is what made him an international star as all three Leone’s Dollar Triology westerns were filmed in Italy and Spain at the time and released to The United States in 1967

I just saw the GBU in Rosendale NY at the Rosendale Theater on August 10. There was about 120 people there, I was expecting a Rocky Horror Show type of die hard fans attending. Instead, it seemed like it was the first time many had seen the movie.

I think he's my favorite character of all time. Certainly in the top three.
The irony in this scene is perfect. Always loved Eli Wallach in his roles as a bandido (first roll was in Magnificant Seven). He was wonderful as Tuco.

I always thought "For a Few Dollars More" was the best until one day I came across GtBatU, it was instantly better by far and became my best Clint Eastwood cowboy film of all time. When it came out in 1966 I was 8 years old. For a Few Dollars More came out about 3 years earlier.

They were only a year apart and Eastwood was still working on tv show Rawhide when got the script for Fistful Of Dollars as was released in 1964 and wasn’t a established movie star yet. The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly is what made him an international star as all three Leone’s Dollar Triology westerns were filmed in Italy and Spain at the time and released to The United States in 1967

Kajdanowski I know they didn’t come out for release in until 1967 in United States and when the trilogy came out in at that time it made Clint Eastwood an international star.

I just saw the GBU in Rosendale NY at the Rosendale Theater on August 10. There was about 120 people there, I was expecting a Rocky Horror Show type of die hard fans attending. Instead, it seemed like it was the first time many had seen the movie.
