I'm an ex Jehovahs witness and they taught all of this which was very comforting knowing God doesn’t torture people for all eternity. It disgusts me when preachers say we all deserve to be burned alive by our heavenly father. Ok you worship someone who would torture millions if not billions... I'll have a little higher regard for the person of God. If I'm wrong then I tried believing what made sense. In the catholic Bible it said Jacob wanted to go to Hell because he morned Joseph's apparent death. The original Hebrew word was Sheol, pointing to mankind's common grave. This video really shows the intention of inserting the word hell in so many places where it said Sheol. Put fear in people's hearts and the money keeps coming in and the leader's can control the ones in the pews.

I came to Universalism as the end result of half a life of Catholicism, and the other half in Evangelicalism. During my tenure with each, something was always kicking me in the gut telling me something wasn't right. There was this institutional egocentrism in each, along with illogic and circular reasoning. Then the final "throwing in the white towel" moment, the Either-Or moment with God was inevitable. A statement by an atheist really caught my attention: "Christianity is the only religion where you have to feel bad, before you feel good." And another from an ex-evangelical: "my parents are more forgiving than God." Each were profoundly correct, and neither assenting to a Christian faith. Only upon happening upon "The Shack" and he Doctrine of Inclusion were my hopes re-flamed, and my suspicions began to be confirmed. We had been taught wrongly, history had gone astray, and systemic conditioning was the intractable mindset of the modern believer. And only by discovering Triune Theology did the real world begin to open up to the Goodness and very real closeness of God. Bless you, Sir, in your endeavors.

Im a formet Evangelical(?) Im in my earlyn20s.I Literally would tell people they're going to hell for 7 years and the only way out is through Jesus Christ.Like you it never really felt right.I had no joy in telling this news and the 12 month period before becoming a Universalist I had deep depression and insomnia.As of Feb 1st Im a Universalist Christian(More specifically eventual total (reconcilliation).I literally cannot in my mind go back to thinking as an ECT Christian...its insane.I reason to believe that MOST don't actually believe in ECT.They Believe that they believe in ECT...but they themselves do not.Gods justice is satisfied by Jesus Christ ultimately....however even in the OT...it was by death.So much more to say but just thought I'd share.

People want to believe in hell! The fact that they gave up things that gave them pleasure made them feel they deserved something no one else would get. Not only that they wanted the others punished! The Christians who have been scared into believing never make as good of Christians as those who come to God out of love.

@@PhilHenryPowerGospel I finally did what the Gehenna 2, I spent about 20 minutes quoting Rick. I am hoping some of the pastors that follow posts would be drawn to Rick's Bible College. Then they can complete their training and put on the shoes of the Gospel of Peace. It has been interesting how God is opening my eyes to key verses like 1 Cor 13:5 and Eph 6:15. These verses are in chapters I have taught milk out of a lot and have been almost stuck in for years. Now I see them expanding as I start to see Jesus better in Heb2020 @tetelestai.org . Challenging but not boring, awesome would be a better word of Ricks take on the Word.

Great chart. All the people that talk about their NDE going to hell and experiencing horrible sensations have one thing in common - they came back! That doesn't sound very eternal to me. I do believe every single person ever born was created in God's image, and He will finish what He started and bring restoration in the world to come, or after death as we know it. The lake of fire is the very presence of God, which burns away everything that really doesn't belong, then the healing of the nations by the leaves of the tree of life.
I used to rationalize the nonexistence of Hell as well. I had many reasons for it, most of them secular scientific arguments which made so much sense to me at the time. I have come to believe in the traditional Christian doctrine for the simple reason that I have witnessed otherwise. There is no question in my mind that the place is real. However, I think people in general should _stop_ focussing on Hell and start being good. The goal should not be simply 'avoiding Hell' but spiritual growth and owning your place in eternity so you can continue doing good works. It's a choice.
Truthologist, thank you for weighing in and I thinking some regards we agree. My premise is to release people from fear, because Jesus has already reconciled the world to Himself. You think doing good works is going to save you? I really don't think so and yes there is a hell so why bother doing good works if there's No Hell? And if there is No hell then why practicing doing good deeds and what is that going to do for you because if there's No Hell then why worry about it because you won't be going there because it doesn't exist right? Wrong Hell does exist and yes hell is a very real place indeed and if you are Not saved by the Lord Jesus Christ you will go to Hell for all eternity so you might want to get that idea out of your head thinking that there's No Hell but yes there is and Hell is eternal and everlasting and Hell is real.

There is no eternal worm, or worm with everlasting life lol. The worm dieth not because there are usually thousands of them. Weeping and gnashing of teeth is not referring to people literally burning, those would be the ones left outside the Kingdom or the loved ones of the dead having to see their rotting corpses in the pit/Sheoul. I am currently getting caught in the battle of "fruit bearing" - must we have it, can we judge others for not having enough. I say we all grow spiritually at different rates. I used to think I could judge another person's salvation, however once I realized OSAS, I changed my view. You never know who could have truly believed, then fell away, does God throw them out? Heck no!!

As for bearing fruit, I don’t believe that’s necessary for salvation, the only thing necessary for salvation was Jesus on the cross. It is not instant as many gnostic believers try to say. They will say your growth has to improve every single day and it has to be visible ! This is so dangerous because now you try to judge your brother based on your measuring stick which is wrong! How do you know he won't end up doing a better work for the Lord one day and took him for granted. We have to be patient with our brothers and sisters, I know I needed it!! God will let you stumble as a baby, and find your way.
The very fact that you don't believe in Hell is a proof that that is where you are going. If you don't believe, then you will not feel the need of finding deliverance through faith in Jesus Christ. It does not matter whether you believe in spiritual things or not, when you die you will be in Hell. Also there is an unavoidable resurrection unto judgement for the lost and non believers. Do you think that because you with your paltry mind will not believe, that it will change what God has stated and determined in His word.

I was not taught that God condemns unbelievers. I was taught that Satan gets us if and when we refuse to surrender our lives over to God. I'm not good anyway you slice it with the idea of any eternal hell.

Its hard to believe that eternal suffering exists, but it does because we are eternal the moment we are born. How a person loses consciousness upon death is not known or can be explained. But real judgement requires real punishment. Real faithful mentality and spiritual success deserves real glory and resolve.
Joshua, I respectfully disagree. (1) To split hairs, "eternal" indicates "no beginning or ending," so only God is eternal. To be "everlasting" (us) means with a beginning but never ending. (2) You said you cannot know what happens upon death, but you know judgment is coming? (3) If judgment is coming, are you sure that it will be everlasting? (4) If we are "faithful" do we "deserve" glory? I submit that we deserve nothing, but thankfully, Jesus was judged for us. I do thank you for watching.

In my most sincere opinion, the Greek translation is incorrect because it mistranslated and suggests that seol is Hades a.k.a. hell many wrongfully believe in as of today, while it means unseen. Jesus is God, I am a believer that Jesus is not a created being, however there are a few verses that make it tough to make others believers. "The Father is greater than I, I do the will of my Father who sent me." There are so many of these verses, now I say that Jesus as flesh and blood was a lowly servant as he said, he did not come to be worshipped but to serve. This doesn't go over to well with the non believers. Now this is a verse that is very difficult to handle and it is the only verse that really seems to put Jesus lower than the Father: 1 Corinthians 15:23But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. 24Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. 25For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. 26The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. 27For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. 28And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. Seems to be putting Christ under the Father here.
@@destroyingtheworksofthedev9349 Forgive me I’m not sure what you’re trying to say…I believe that Jesus is a member of the Divine Trinity, God and three persons, who willingly took on humanity so He could be made in all points like us, yet without sin. That qualified Him to be the perfect substitute. when I see scriptures that appear to make Him be lesser than the Father, I believe that’s referring to His humanity. @@PhilHenryPowerGospel Well I am trying to explain some verses that contend that Jesus is only the Son. I do not believe this, but many do. In fact most of the Universal Salvation channels I sub to believe Jesus is only the Son. They also use the verse in Colossians that calls him the firstborn of all creation. The term firstborn can mean preeminent, but this is hard to explain as well because it is one of many definitions of firstborn in the Stong's Concordance.
Hell is a pagan thing. Helheim or Hel was the opposite place of Valhall. Christianity stole this thing from this old Norse religion and the word was added in to the Bible long after Jesus died. Jesus never talked about Hell. He talked about Gehenna. That had nothing to do with eternal torture.
God told Adam in Gen 2:16,17 if he would eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil he would die. And that's exactly what happened. And we all been dying ever since.You think that's not what a loving God would do. Yes that might be mean but thats the truth .That's why we don't like the truth. We like our sin. The question should be is there a case for eternal punishment in the Bible or not? Even if it was mentioned only one time it would have to be taken seriously. Every time I listen to anyone who wants to dismiss the teaching of hell, they always start with a very low view of scripture and it's translators. All scripture is given for teaching and reproof and is inspired by the Holy Spirit. This matter of hell is very serious and you should go to your Bible and concordance and read the verses pertaining and ask the Holy Spirit to direct you. This is the weakest argument I have heard yet for universalism.

I would ask you to read the original language, where the word hell is nowhere to be found (the word Jesus used was “Gehenna” which referenced a real place) and on top of that the dozens of scriptures that reference God’s plan to save all people. @@philhenry815 indeed Phil! We all are "to die ONCE (and then judgment)" Hebrew 9:27 testify that, biblically, we can only die ONCE (or "pass on into the next" so to say) physically. The Bible in full context align with the restoration of all things ONLY IN JESUS who will draw all unto Himself.
A lot of them believed they were going to hell or feared hell, and the same goes for many other near death experiences for people who believe in other things.... Atheists said they saw nothing, people who believed in heaven said they saw heaven, some had an out of body experience, and many other stories from people..... There is a scientific breakdown of what this possibly could be, and there is a belief that when you die, you go to a place you personally believe in.

I find your video pointless, debating the use of the word "Hell". The fact is, according to the word of Adonai those people whose names are not in the Lambs Book of Life are destined to burn forever in the Lake of Fire. Whether you don't believe in Hell is irrelevant. When you are judged by GOD according to HIS laws and are found wanting then you are in for an eternity of torment. Because I would not wish this upon anyone, I am writing this in the hopes you will not remain mislead. Only faith in Yeshua (Jesus, his Greek name if you so wish), following GOD's commandments and genuine repentance will save you from eternal torment.

Also Hell is spoken of in the Books of Eden, Book of Enoch, the Old Testament 31 times and the New Testament 23 times and across the Apocrypha such as Edras, Maccabes, if there is no lake of fire how are evil spiritual entities such as satan and fallen angels and demons removed from the the realm prior to the new heaven and new earth when all things are made new? The record of corruption needs to be removed from witness of creation and the universe itself. How do you explain the context throughout scripture and explain it away? Also how is the lake of fire accounted for and explained in the 'there is no hell ideology?', scriptures please if you could. The authority of the scriptures had to be exalted above opinion, because the reality and preference are two very different things. What about the NDEs who went to hell? What about believers like myself and mystics who have ascended to heaven and descended to hell experiencing both dimensions? What do we do with all of this also? I'm an ex Jehovahs witness and they taught all of this which was very comforting knowing God doesn’t torture people for all eternity. It disgusts me when preachers say we all deserve to be burned alive by our heavenly father. Ok you worship someone who would torture millions if not billions... I'll have a little higher regard for the person of God. If I'm wrong then I tried believing what made sense. In the catholic Bible it said Jacob wanted to go to Hell because he morned Joseph's apparent death. The original Hebrew word was Sheol, pointing to mankind's common grave. This video really shows the intention of inserting the word hell in so many places where it said Sheol. Put fear in people's hearts and the money keeps coming in and the leader's can control the ones in the pews.

I came to Universalism as the end result of half a life of Catholicism, and the other half in Evangelicalism. During my tenure with each, something was always kicking me in the gut telling me something wasn't right. There was this institutional egocentrism in each, along with illogic and circular reasoning. Then the final "throwing in the white towel" moment, the Either-Or moment with God was inevitable. A statement by an atheist really caught my attention: "Christianity is the only religion where you have to feel bad, before you feel good." And another from an ex-evangelical: "my parents are more forgiving than God." Each were profoundly correct, and neither assenting to a Christian faith. Only upon happening upon "The Shack" and he Doctrine of Inclusion were my hopes re-flamed, and my suspicions began to be confirmed. We had been taught wrongly, history had gone astray, and systemic conditioning was the intractable mindset of the modern believer. And only by discovering Triune Theology did the real world begin to open up to the Goodness and very real closeness of God. Bless you, Sir, in your endeavors.

Im a formet Evangelical(?) Im in my earlyn20s.I Literally would tell people they're going to hell for 7 years and the only way out is through Jesus Christ.Like you it never really felt right.I had no joy in telling this news and the 12 month period before becoming a Universalist I had deep depression and insomnia.As of Feb 1st Im a Universalist Christian(More specifically eventual total (reconcilliation).I literally cannot in my mind go back to thinking as an ECT Christian...its insane.I reason to believe that MOST don't actually believe in ECT.They Believe that they believe in ECT...but they themselves do not.Gods justice is satisfied by Jesus Christ ultimately....however even in the OT...it was by death.So much more to say but just thought I'd share.

People want to believe in hell! The fact that they gave up things that gave them pleasure made them feel they deserved something no one else would get. Not only that they wanted the others punished! The Christians who have been scared into believing never make as good of Christians as those who come to God out of love.

@@PhilHenryPowerGospel I finally did what the Gehenna 2, I spent about 20 minutes quoting Rick. I am hoping some of the pastors that follow posts would be drawn to Rick's Bible College. Then they can complete their training and put on the shoes of the Gospel of Peace. It has been interesting how God is opening my eyes to key verses like 1 Cor 13:5 and Eph 6:15. These verses are in chapters I have taught milk out of a lot and have been almost stuck in for years. Now I see them expanding as I start to see Jesus better in Heb2020 @tetelestai.org . Challenging but not boring, awesome would be a better word of Ricks take on the Word.

Great chart. All the people that talk about their NDE going to hell and experiencing horrible sensations have one thing in common - they came back! That doesn't sound very eternal to me. I do believe every single person ever born was created in God's image, and He will finish what He started and bring restoration in the world to come, or after death as we know it. The lake of fire is the very presence of God, which burns away everything that really doesn't belong, then the healing of the nations by the leaves of the tree of life.

I used to rationalize the nonexistence of Hell as well. I had many reasons for it, most of them secular scientific arguments which made so much sense to me at the time. I have come to believe in the traditional Christian doctrine for the simple reason that I have witnessed otherwise. There is no question in my mind that the place is real. However, I think people in general should _stop_ focussing on Hell and start being good. The goal should not be simply 'avoiding Hell' but spiritual growth and owning your place in eternity so you can continue doing good works. It's a choice.
Truthologist, thank you for weighing in and I thinking some regards we agree. My premise is to release people from fear, because Jesus has already reconciled the world to Himself. We can, and should live in the truth, doing good and loving others, not so that we can learn something, but because we are grateful for watch already been done. God bless you and thanks for watching.

And if there is No hell then why practicing doing good deeds and what is that going to do for you because if there's No Hell then why worry about it because you won't be going there because it doesn't exist right? Wrong Hell does exist and yes hell is a very real place indeed and if you are Not saved by the Lord Jesus Christ you will go to Hell for all eternity so you might want to get that idea out of your head thinking that there's No Hell but yes there is and Hell is eternal and everlasting and Hell is real.

SO many other verses support this that I can no longer ignore this. In fact, now that I have the mindset, I see it all over the bible. Even in the KJV which I still love, I just got so comfortable with it. I just know now that Gehenna is a garbage dump where the fire is never quenched and the worm is not eternal lol, it's simple, ever see a dead animal with maggots, well they're alive! There is no eternal worm, or worm with everlasting life lol. The worm dieth not because there are usually thousands of them. Weeping and gnashing of teeth is not referring to people literally burning, those would be the ones left outside the Kingdom or the loved ones of the dead having to see their rotting corpses in the pit/Sheoul.
I am currently getting caught in the battle of "fruit bearing" - must we have it, can we judge others for not having enough. I say we all grow spiritually at different rates. I used to think I could judge another person's salvation, however once I realized OSAS, I changed my view. You never know who could have truly believed, then fell away, does God throw them out? Heck no!!

As for bearing fruit, I don’t believe that’s necessary for salvation, the only thing necessary for salvation was Jesus on the cross. It is however, our grateful response to realizing what Jesus has done for us.

It is not instant as many gnostic believers try to say. They will say your growth has to improve every single day and it has to be visible ! How do you know he won't end up doing a better work for the Lord one day and took him for granted. We have to be patient with our brothers and sisters, I know I needed it!! The very fact that you don't believe in Hell is a proof that that is where you are going. If you don't believe, then you will not feel the need of finding deliverance through faith in Jesus Christ. It does not matter whether you believe in spiritual things or not, when you die you will be in Hell. Also there is an unavoidable resurrection unto judgement for the lost and non believers. Do you think that because you with your paltry mind will not believe, that it will change what God has stated and determined in His word.

I was not taught that God condemns unbelievers. I was taught that Satan gets us if and when we refuse to surrender our lives over to God. I'm not good anyway you slice it with the idea of any eternal hell.

Its hard to believe that eternal suffering exists, but it does because we are eternal the moment we are born. How a person loses consciousness upon death is not known or can be explained. But real judgement requires real punishment. Real faithful mentality and spiritual success deserves real glory and resolve.
Joshua, I respectfully disagree. (1) To split hairs, "eternal" indicates "no beginning or ending," so only God is eternal. To be "everlasting" (us) means with a beginning but never ending. (2) You said you cannot know what happens upon death, but you know judgment is coming? (3) If judgment is coming, are you sure that it will be everlasting? Those are indeed NOT the same.
In my most sincere opinion, the Greek translation is incorrect because it mistranslated and suggests that seol is Hades a.k.a. hell many wrongfully believe in as of today, while it means unseen.

Jesus is God, I am a believer that Jesus is not a created being, however there are a few verses that make it tough to make others believers. "The Father is greater than I, I do the will of my Father who sent me." There are so many of these verses, now I say that Jesus as flesh and blood was a lowly servant as he said, he did not come to be worshipped but to serve. This doesn't go over to well with the non believers. Now this is a verse that is very difficult to handle and it is the only verse that really seems to put Jesus lower than the Father:
1 Corinthians 15:23But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
24Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.
25For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.
26The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
27For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.

@@destroyingtheworksofthedev9349 Forgive me I’m not sure what you’re trying to say…I believe that Jesus is a member of the Divine Trinity, God and three persons, who willingly took on humanity so He could be made in all points like us, yet without sin. That qualified Him to be the perfect substitute. when I see scriptures that appear to make Him be lesser than the Father, I believe that’s referring to His humanity. In fact most of the Universal Salvation channels I sub to believe Jesus is only the Son. They also use the verse in Colossians that calls him the firstborn of all creation. The term firstborn can mean preeminent, but this is hard to explain as well because it is one of many definitions of firstborn in the Stong's Concordance.

Hell is a pagan thing. Helheim or Hel was the opposite place of Valhall.
Christianity stole this thing from this old Norse religion and the word was added in to the Bible long after Jesus died.

The question should be is there a case for eternal punishment in the Bible or not? Even if it was mentioned only one time it would have to be taken seriously. Every time I listen to anyone who wants to dismiss the teaching of hell, they always start with a very low view of scripture and it's translators. All scripture is given for teaching and reproof and is inspired by the Holy Spirit. This matter of hell is very serious and you should go to your Bible and concordance and read the verses pertaining and ask the Holy Spirit to direct you. This is the weakest argument I have heard yet for universalism.

A lot of them believed they were going to hell or feared hell, and the same goes for many other near death experiences for people who believe in other things.... Atheists said they saw nothing, people who believed in heaven said they saw heaven, some had an out of body experience, and many other stories from people..... There is a scientific breakdown of what this possibly could be, and there is a belief that when you die, you go to a place you personally believe in.
What about them? I'm not saying I buy into this stuff, but I can tell you this: common logic means that when there is a contradiction (and there are many), your "hell" stuff proves NOTHING. Checkmate. Here:

I find your video pointless, debating the use of the word "Hell". The fact is, according to the word of Adonai those people whose names are not in the Lambs Book of Life are destined to burn forever in the Lake of Fire. Whether you don't believe in Hell is irrelevant. When you are judged by GOD according to HIS laws and are found wanting then you are in for an eternity of torment. Because I would not wish this upon anyone, I am writing this in the hopes you will not remain mislead. Only faith in Yeshua (Jesus, his Greek name if you so wish), following GOD's commandments and genuine repentance will save you from eternal torment.

Also Hell is spoken of in the Books of Eden, Book of Enoch, the Old Testament 31 times and the New Testament 23 times and across the Apocrypha such as Edras, Maccabes, if there is no lake of fire how are evil spiritual entities such as satan and fallen angels and demons removed from the the realm prior to the new heaven and new earth when all things are made new? The record of corruption needs to be removed from witness of creation and the universe itself. How do you explain the context throughout scripture and explain it away? Also how is the lake of fire accounted for and explained in the 'there is no hell ideology?', scriptures please if you could. The authority of the scriptures had to be exalted above opinion, because the reality and preference are two very different things. What about the NDEs who went to hell? What about believers like myself and mystics who have ascended to heaven and descended to hell experiencing both dimensions? What do we do with all of this also? Just I don't believe in it isn't good enough, because the reality is the reality, the truth is the truth regardless, so what do we do with all this?
