I've already purchased this machine it does not give me as much wrap around as I would like however it does give me some coverage overall not a bad machine stay safe out there people
You can tell you put a LOT of time and effort into your videos. Very well made, with top notch equipment. Props to the originality and to the fact you're actually, physically reviewing the product, a rare quality to see on these "review" videos. Most simply read Amazon descriptions and call it a reviews video. 👍
Thank you for the kind words! I definitely don’t want to simply use someone else’s feedback as my own. Not to mention, this video review was super fun to shoot! 😎
Sorry wrap around is specific terminology relating to the wrap-around effect, spraying down just is more effective at covering more surfaces in a single go. Two different things.
Shouldve done a more thorough slower and overhead spray when trying to test the wrap around gotta think about how many drops are actually coming out and a slower steadier spray like you would to achieve a more thorough coverage would probably have a better effect
I’m certainly no expert on electrostatic sprayers. With that said, I spoke with a colleague of mine, whom is better suited to answer this question, and he recommended the following: ESS, Dinofog, Bioplanet. Hope this info helps!
Thanks for the video. I was getting ready to buy the one gallon version for mosquitos. That was a close call! Based on your testing can you recommend a high-performing model?
Unfortunately, I’m not an expert on electrostatic sprayers models and the varying uses for them. My recommendation would be to look around TH-cam and other online sources for reviews specific to electrostatic spraying for pest control.
Hi Josh, Great program. I was wondering if you could you review the IAQ EXTECH VPC 300 particle meter. I am really interested about the different particle scales, what they represent, how are the used and specifically which scale us most useful for detecting mold spore contamination, and what is could be identified with the different scales
Hi Alex. Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately, I do not own that Extech meter, nor do I have a need to purchase one. However, if the folks at Extech are ever looking for a third-party review, I’d be happy to put this meter through the ringer! 😎 As far as best particle sizes to look at when it comes to mold/fungi, PM2.5 and PM10 have been the ideal channels to look for anomalies within an environment that may have mold-impact. With that said, mold spores and fragments can vary in size, so one should not get fixated on one channel over another. I’ve learned from others that it’s best practice to simply look for anomalies in quantities - whether that is much higher concentrations within one area of a property or in comparing channels. In general, you should see the highest quantity of particulate within the 0.3 micron range and the least within the 10 micron range. You’ll typically see the 0.5 micron channel be slightly less than the 0.3 channel, the 1 micron slightly less than the 0.5 channel and so on. However, when you see one channel higher than the smaller channel above it, that would often be considered an outlier - prompting further inspection on your part. Hope this information helps!
Thanks for the effort you put into this review. I saw this on the shelf at the store a few days ago and wondered what it was about. I feel like I really understand the product after watching the video. Other reviews don't give me that same sense. This is great information! I'm subscribed!
From my understanding, yes. In fact, many electrostatic sprayers are used for applying pesticides to agriculture, because of its ability to apply thorough coverage. Disclaimer: I’m not a bug/ insect expert. 😎
why does it look like a misting/fogging machine. Is this good for spraying lawn chemicals and insecticides around my house? Sometimes I have to spray grass-weed killer on larger areas, will this tool be good for that?
I’m certainly not an expert of the use cases for this sprayer, and others like it. However, I have seen others use these types of sprayers for applying lawn care products. I would recommend downloading the user guide for this sprayer and reviewing it.
So all this is great but I didn't see you turn on (or mention the electrostatic switch) switch before you demoed it so I cant really call this a complete review.
I don’t believe that I made comparisons between the electrostatic switch on and off during usage. Do feel free to share any input that you have, if you go this route!
We have one of these at work and we used it every day and it last about a week before it needs a charge. So it works ok. But All of the sudden it stopped working and I was trying figure out why it wasn't spraying and was wandering has a fix for that.
@@IAQJosh i figured it out, the nozzles where clogged even after washing them soap and water. I had to use a high powered compress to blow out the nosles to get them to work.
Hi Justin. Unfortunately, I’m not a insect/pest expert, so I won’t be able to answer that question for you. However, I know that electrostatic sprayers can be used for pesticide applications. I would advise taking a look at the manufacturer information for this device. Here is the link to a page that discusses compatible products. images.homedepot-static.com/catalog/pdfImages/64/64852838-1075-432f-bde0-ae50562c7c75.pdf
If you wouldn’t mind, please direct me to the page that you found this information on, as I’ve read through the entire manual and do not see this direction/ recommendation published in there.
Thanx unfortunately I saw this too late and bought one and realized how much it kind of sucked compared to whats advertised. It gets everything wet, leaves to much residue.
My review it SUCKS!!!! If you just a bit, it won’t pump. I bought two, and one did work out of the box. They spray about 5 feet max, with large drops everywhere!!!!! 😡
I just finished watching full video and i give a thumbs down on battery life, no way you can get thru one tank full vs multiple tanks on one battery. Seems your testing just over looked battery testing. Thumbs down!!
What you didn't do was spray upwards from the object, so gravity will bring the spray farticles downwards. Duhhhhh and the way you spray you can create that air flow to make the chemicals wrap aroudn to the back. Re do your experient, and consider this one YOUR failure
Kinda of a useless video ,you did not show anything about painting, you totally used a scientific approach to spraying you could have made it a lot simpler,to whether or not you could spray with latex, lacquers, or oils ,If you advertise as a Paint sprayer
@@IAQJosh This is the third TH-cam video I've watched on this product and I have yet to see a definition of what an electrostatic sprayer is, what it's used for, and why you need it. I wish you could elaborate on this . Thanks
Best product review I have ever seen!
I doubt it, but I’m flattered. Thank you!
I've already purchased this machine it does not give me as much wrap around as I would like however it does give me some coverage overall not a bad machine stay safe out there people
Agreed. It definitely does the job of applying products to a surface. Stay safe!
I'm gonna try it on my garden
Go for it! Seems to be a logical use for this unit.

Not entirely. If the electrostatic switch was turned on, it would have easily covered both sides of the objects.
Ohhh I was wondering how the device could get a ground. Dope
For wrap around effect your supposed to spray over top of objects not only directly at them. I seen it in another review.
Sorry wrap around is specific terminology relating to the wrap-around effect, spraying down just is more effective at covering more surfaces in a single go. Two different things.
If the electrostatic switch is turned on, they charged particles attach themselves to both sides of the object without having to spray overhead.

Appreciate the input!
Thank you for your research. What sprayer do you recommend for commercial applications, i.e. offices

Did you turn the electrostatic on?
I did! I actually flipped the switch off and tried it a few times - just to see if the polarity was reversed for some reason.

I’m here because my boss bought this and thought it was a fogger machine for the mosquitoes
Great review. Thanks. I wanna know one thing. Can this also be used outside as a bug and insect sprayer?
From my understanding, yes. In fact, many electrostatic sprayers are used for applying pesticides to agriculture, because of its ability to apply thorough coverage.
Disclaimer: I’m not a bug/ insect expert. 😎
For outside you can buy a ryobi fogger mister for 100 dollars this one I think is 400
Yes but use organic pesticides pls

I’m sorry. I’ll work harder on capturing 100% of my steps in the future.
I agree. I was waiting for that as well. And the different flow rates.
And we're the difference between electrostatic on and off comparison???

@@Kevinthewiseone Gotcha. Well, that’s good. Glad to hear this unit is standing the test of time.
My complaint is battery life!! Maybe 15 minutes of spray time otherwise works well.
great video bro
Thank you!
Don’t buy this thing for commercial liking a lot after few times using
For a house a think is good
One to 10 for me is a 5
You forgot to mention how big of a pain it is to prime… we’re on our second with no successful priming
Fortunately, I did not encounter any issues with this unit priming. Guess I was lucky. 😎
Would this work in a home infested with roaches?

Make up batches of borax and sugar. You can find instruction online.
has anybody used this to sprayer for lawn care?
Personally, I have not. Possibly one of the many viewers of this video out there have. What say you, TH-cam community?
I wouldn’t recommend this for lawn care. You can easily use a backpack pump sprayer with a mist or fan tip for lawn or garden applications.
You are spraying wrong according to Ryobi Manual. You should spray up so it can rain on products, wrap affect works, not direct spray.
If you wouldn’t mind, please direct me to the page that you found this information on, as I’ve read through the entire manual and do not see this direction/ recommendation published in there.
Looked like you r air conditioner might have been blowing down during the test
I wondered the same! I tried the coverage and distance tests with the HVAC system on and off and saw a marginal difference.
Can you paint with it
Only one way to find out! 😝
No
Thanx unfortunately I saw this too late and bought one and realized how much it kind of sucked compared to whats advertised. It gets everything wet, leaves to much residue.
Unfortunately, I’ve heard from other users that they’ve experienced a bit of dripping from the nozzle as well.
When you spray a liquid out of any sprayer, it’ll make things wet.
My review it SUCKS!!!! If you just a bit, it won’t pump. I bought two, and one did work out of the box. They spray about 5 feet max, with large drops everywhere!!!!! 😡
I hear ya, especially if that was your experience with not one, but two units. Fortunately for me, I did not have a similar experience.
Is that considered a "beard"? Or is that just a clip on?
Does 2+2=4? 🤔
@@IAQJosh Looks like a dead animal attached to your chin. Why not at least try to "shape it" so it looks like a "beard" and not a dead animal?
I just finished watching full video and i give a thumbs down on battery life, no way you can get thru one tank full vs multiple tanks on one battery. Seems your testing just over looked battery testing. Thumbs down!!
I wonder if you have a defective battery… Plenty of juice in the battery for multiple tank refills.

I see.
It doesn’t work as advertised. I’ve tried a few. The expensive ones work
What a terrible review. He didn't show this in.Use at all

Kinda of a useless video ,you did not show anything about painting, you totally used a scientific approach to spraying you could have made it a lot simpler,to whether or not you could spray with latex, lacquers, or oils ,If you advertise as a Paint sprayer
This sprayer is designed to apply disinfectants, pesticides, and similar liquids. This is not an electrostatic paint sprayer.
