Great video Biladaman! I'm studying to create my content this way (in english) but with some ia voice. Anyway, with all my heart, I wish you much success in all your projects!
I love this new type of content! I was just scrolling through my home videos and this one showed up, and I was like "Essa voz não me é estranha..." Sucesso duduzinho, curto muito seu trampo.
yooo no way, This is awesome BiladaMan. I also have two channels, one in portuguese and one in english and I think its really nice to not only have two outlets to create content for but also to practice english and reach a bigger audience. Since I finally have a chance to have my comment be read by you, I am a game developer that is working solo on my dream game project for around 3 years now, and I wanted to send you a couple keys for it. I also have a smaller scoped project which I'm aiming to release this year that I'll send keys for as well. I'll send the keys on the reply to this comment
Nobody seems to notice that some of those explosions in Gate Of Thunder sound nothing like the actual hardware or the Mister core. I like my Analogue Duo….kinda…
@@VideoGameShowcase nobody has mentioned Gate Of Thunder having sound effects that are actually completely wrong. Which is interesting because the same game has sound effects issues on the Turbo Everdrive Pro, Game Sack mentioned it when it first came out, its been like 9 months and its still not fixed. I think I’m sticking to Mister and my original hardware personally.
"Worse" graphics than the Genesis and SNES? That's purely subjective. The Super Nintendo had an 8bit CPU with added 16bit capabilities, which is similar to the PCE/TG. The idea that the TG is some sort of halfstep between 8bit and 16bit has been a talking point for decades, but it's just not true. The TG/PCE stood toe to toe with the Genesis and SNES both graphically and in regards to audio. It had a far better colour palette than the Genesis and was able to display more colours simultaneously than the Genesis. Its CPU was also much faster than the SNES. The SNES had a very difficult time with shooters and suffered extreme slow down. The PCE came out years before the Mega Drive and Super Famicon, so the early releases are more basic and don't take full advantage of the hardware. The games are also lower memory. Later on the games had larger memory and were on par with anything the SNES and Genesis were putting out. Each of those respective consoles have their own strengths and weaknesses, but the TG/PCE was just as much a 16bit console as the Genesis or SNES.
To me the PCE feels like a powerful 8-bit platform… while the SNES and Genesis feel like proper 16-bit. That’s my subjective feeling on the consoles. Your point about shooters is great though. They do feel snappier on the PCE!!!
@@VideoGameShowcase But if you compare ports of the same games the PCE TG is on par or better a lot of the time. But I can't argue with your subjective opinion. I just disagree that it was an "inbween" system. It was objectively competing against the Genesis and SNES in both Japan (and highly successfully) and North America (not nearly as successfully). The PCE just happened to be way ahead of the game than Sega and Nintendo.
To me the timing of release puts it as an in-between generations console... as well as the capabilities (as I said, I feel like, for example, Bonk's Adventure is closer to an 8-bit experience than a 16-bit one). But it's an impressive platform that I'm having the privilege to better explore! Thanks again for the comment!!!
@@VideoGameShowcasewhat makes it in between, exactly? Everything about the system, tech wise, is exactly 4th gen (as in except for the 2nd BG layer, it has all the aspects of the Genesis and SNES hardware, and even specs that bests both of them). It's not "in-between", it's "first" of the next gen systems. There's a difference.
In terms of specs I'd still put the PC Engine as in-between. Castlevania is a great example... Rondo of Blood looks and plays amazing... but both Super Castlevania IV and Castlevania Bloodlines are graphical showcases that feature effects that I don't see happening on PC Engine games! What do you think? Thanks!

Ghouls’n Ghost is better on Supergrafx than Genesis ✌️✌️✌️
Nice! Gotta check it out! Thanks for the tip!!!
But not as good as the Snes
@@dc110770 but on snes, it’s not Ghouls’n Ghost, not arcade version. It’s a different game. Off topic 👎👎👎
No its not.
@@hpickettz34 yes it’s yeah 👍

I believe that either Game Sack or My Life In Gaming covered the differences in audio. Can’t remember exactly which of them!

Ah got it! Unfortunately I’m not as familiar with the platform as you. But really appreciate the information! Thanks!
@@VideoGameShowcase I didn’t mean to sound like a know it all. My bad. Should keep it to myself.
No, I meant it in a nice way lol don’t worry! I’m glad you mentioned it because I legit don’t have the same knowledge about the PC Engine as you! 😃

Is it true that the PC Engine is the best platform for shmups?
Not sure if it’s the best, but there are a lot of good shmups for it. The Saturn also has really good ones.
Too bad the games on the console are not great. So good games but nothing you must have.
