I like the colors of this figure too! I love the paint on this guy. I think a lot of guys have gotten used to Badcube’s Brawny in which he has a darker green legs and arms with a yellowish orange chest. Brawny held up pretty well but Fanstoys Hunk looks amazing! I love the silver helmet and the paint pops! Great review! 👍🏾

Yup, having one new figure a month is amazing, the sacrifice they made is fewer production numbers which sucks for some people, just have to get those preorders in
The slot method for the weapon, is borrowed from Maketoys. They used the same method on their headmasters.

Love Brawn as a character and I think FT Hunk is a major upgrade versus previous MP options. It's nice to see concept model art for comparison but I think it would be even better to take a few screenshots animation frame stills from the animation for comparison. I thought about doing this myself because of differences between the concept models (which seem to have more likeness to the Marvel comic book art) and the animation itself. It's interesting, take Shockwave for example, looking at the animation which shade of purple is the intended color for Shockwave? So it often seems to come down to preferences in the details. People talking about the color of Brawn, errors aside, how many shades of green is Brawn in the direct source animation? I know this requires time going through the animation and paying close attention to details, but after watching episodes so many times becomes easier to spot the many errors and details. I will always love the animation, errors and all, TF and G.I. JOE were the most awesome cartoons to me at ten years old. I only realized this many years later thanks to my son.

Are there any plans by Takara for an official release? Not a fan of the metallic paint . I want a more matte finish.
If you want matte, just hit it with some dullcote.

Transformation?
TMReviews Yeah, shoving that whole piece down looks pretty hairy. With all those interlocking plastic tabs it just seems like if it’s slightly out of alignment it might end up breaking. Interesting transformation engineering, though.
Ya it looks worse than it feels, that part wasn't as bad as pushing the canopy of the truck down

I agree the rear window is a bit off, but taken in whole I love the vehicle mode
It’s 95% g1 cartoon accurate. Takara could do 100% and get the car license
