Wow these guys are just really great performers. Not just they play complex music perfectly on stage, they always back it up with a good stage presence. Good reaction bro. 👍👍👍
Waggaki Band...they arent just musician but they are Gods and Goddess and engineers of their own musical instruments... Suzuhana Yuko - Vocals Machiya - Guitar Asa - Bass Wasabi - Drums Beni Ninagawa - Tsugari Shamisen (traditional 3 string guitar) Kurona - Wadaiko ( traditional drums) Kiyoshi - Koto ( traditional harp) Daisuke - Sakuhachi ( traditional flute) ...sir i recommend to please do comment to their other songs.. -Ignite -Sunwheel -Valkyrie -Okinotayuu -Zenbonsakura -Perfect Blue ( live ) -Subaku no Komoruita -Tengaku -Ame Nochi Kajouron -Sasameyuki -Yuki kage boushi and still more.. I be following your reactions sir..... im not a japanese.....I one of their Fans.... Im a Filipino... Thank You and God bless..
This song is amazing , combine traditional and modern 🤤 . This make me dance in the morning . Live version like MV, the audio is very very good . Good reaction . 😁
It’s not as evident in the live version compared to the music video, but in the second verse, Yuko (vocalist) and Machiya (guitarist) swap ‘roles’ in the song. She’s singing lines that would be his and he sings hers.
Reminds me of...Jethro Tull and Ian Anderson's flute...Parov Stelar's EDM Swing...Richard Thompson's Folk Rock...Joni Mitchell's Blues and Jazz...probably a lot of other things too. Another amazing blend of instruments and styles that works perfectly. Between Babymetal, Band-Maid and Wagakki, Japan is leading the way in 21st century music
I will post for the second time. I recommend next is 砂漠の子守唄 "sabaku no kmoriuta" that is diffrent genre. I think it will meet your expectations. th-cam.com/video/2tvW0V2wHS4/w-d-xo.html
'Ignite' from their 'React' EP is my favourite - almost punk rock, staccato rap from Yuko and Machiya, with Yuko's shigin-style vocals in the chorus, then if you really want different, 'Noushou Sakuretsu Girl' (Brain/Spinal Fluid Explosion Girl) - a cover of a vocaloid movie theme from 2015, which is just insane. Other big songs of theirs are 'Tengaku' (Music from the Heavens), 'Rokuchounen to Ichiya Monogatari' (A Tale of Six Trillion Years and A Night) and 'Senbonzakura' (Thousand Cherry Blossoms - the big one), which are all vocaloid covers from their early albums that I think were used as anime themes, so there are sometimes copyright issues with the original music videos, but recent live performances are usually OK - 'React' EP Tour, Premium Symphonic Night, Vol 2, dai Sinnenkai (New Year's gathering) concerts from 2021, 2020 and maybe 2019, after they changed labels from Avex to Universal. Some other tracks used in anime are 'Valkyrie' and 'Aria of Life'. 'Kishikaisei' (Come-back from the Dead / Resurrection) was the Japanese TV theme for the 2016 Rio Olympics - usually a big crowd participation number at live shows, as is 'Senbonzakura'. 'Ikusa' (War / Battlefield) is another hard rock track, and 'Sun Wheel' is a more recent, intense track. Slower ballads are 'Sabaku no komoriuta' (Desert Lullaby), 'Izana' (Powerful Woman), 'Okino no Tayu' (Albatross) 'Queen of the Night' and 'Strong Fate'.
I'm hoping that you'll react to Strong Fate or Kishikaisei or Yuki Kage Boushi, the music videos of those songs look great and they're really good songs by Wagakki Band imo ^^
I think the music style you were looking for is a type of jazz/swing called JUMP. It was made popular by Gene Krupa and his contemporaries. But I could also be mistaken.
Why tell you all the secrets? You better find them yourself. What instrument solo will pop up in this song, what will happen in that song? This is the sweetest feeling for me, becoming a new fan. I wish i could experience that again and again with all the bands i like. I hope you continue enough long with Wagakki band. If you ever do "Strong faith", i can tell from the name of all the fans, do the music video. Their beautiful videos will be wasted otherwise. Hint: in "Akatsuki no ito" there's a dragon. Other than that, some random suggestions by me, so that you could have those surprises. Ignite, Ikusa, Tengaku, Sabaku no komoriuta, Nijiro chocho, Bou getsu, Guren, Hotarubi (only if it's Heian jingu 2017 live), Iroha uta, (i wish there could still exist the upload of) Noshou sakuretsu girl (Hibiya 2015), World domination, Hoshizukiyo, Tsuioku, Tono monogatari go go, Tono monogatari yon yon, Chie no kajitsu, Sasameyuki, Kishikaisei, Shiromadara, Hagane, Episode.0, Tori no youni, Nadeshiko zakura (if it's the music video or a live from Shibuya Public Hall-Yasou emaki 2015), Tenjou no kanata, Hakushu kassai, Hana ichi monme. I will say their first album is vocaloid covers. Also they have some movie, live-action and anime soundtrack among my suggestions.
You are correct with swing. They have a good music video for this song. The song is clever and the video reflects this. A man and woman wonder how it would be if they swapped roles and in the video, you see them perform a jazz/swing style dance but they have swapped the roles. So the woman knows what it is like to lead the dance. The vocal parts they sing are also swapped. When you see the man sing in the video, Suzuhana (lead vocal) is singing and when you see the woman in the video singing, Machyia, (lead guitar) is singing.
There is no genre in Wagakki Band. Traditional Japanese Music? Lock? Folk? Jazz? Classic? By the way, Yuko(Main Vo.) also plays the piano in the Wagakki Band Premium Symphonic Night concert that is orchestra.
I know synchronicity nevel failed me,and dropping like before reaction begin is a guarantee for this one :) Maybe you can go to their earlier hits : "Roku chonnen to Ichimiya monogatari" ,its nice to see how they begin to what they are today Here is the MV : th-cam.com/video/T4RHuXd5pMg/w-d-xo.html Here is their live encore performance where they outfit changed (except Yuko) : th-cam.com/video/90QRPSZDzsA/w-d-xo.html
Their band image is Meiji era of Japan... Which shogun/samurai life style was no longer acceptable (you might heard "runonin") and adapting western life style. Meiji era was also time which western style music (jazz/swing) became popular. I think that is the reason their broad style of music.
your reaction on wagakki band, the best is : synchronicity - because u seems dancing man sakura rising - nice comment for human akatsuki no ito - first time hearing and the i like wagakki band thanks me :)
The lyrics of this song is a full on conversation between the singers in a situation in which they swapped bodies.
You need to see the video of this song with Yuko playing a keyboard.

You forgot Ikusa is theme song for Samurai Warriors a.k.a Sengoku Musou (both in game and anime)
If you liked the guitarist singing, you've got to check out them playing "tsuioku" acoustic version

Strongly recommend watching Strong Fate by Wagakki Band. Song is a theme song for a horror movie about evil impure spirits haunting a house.
