I have watched so many videos about how to do this and they did not explain nor go into as much detail as you did. Thanks to you I figured out that deleting the negative space allowed me to cut my business logo!!!!!!! Thank you so much!!!
Thank you this was so much easier to watch than some of those other videos that they talk… So much and move so fast people that are not used to these machines don’t grasp everything you guys are saying so when you’re slowing it down it’s so much easier when you’re trying to learn stuff especially when you’re 74 years old.

Also wondering, if we want the duck image to have the head and beak to be white and just have the cricut cut around the outside edgesof the image, so I just eliminate that negative space and then I am good to go?

Thank you, thank you so much! I’m a beginner at this and I have been tearing my hair out! I actually bought expensive printable vinyl. I actually had to buy a brand new printer too. I am way over $500 into this now, at a time that people do not have money for non- necessity items. My husband is starting to look at me funny. Which is an understatement. Because everything I have done, is telling me that I have to print it before I can cut it. So now before I do this first piece I am wondering which one I should use. I think I’m going to use the piece that I kept screwing up. Just to see what happens. You may have saved me a lot of money as well! I will be subscribing and can’t wait to see what else you do! Corinne I’m som sorry to bother you but your tutorial was on point but now that I’m trying to cut the vinyl the fine point blades doesn’t even make it to the vinyl it only rubs against it. Am I that pathetic?

@@CorinneBlackstone yea what your asking is all gibberish to me I'm a rookie but I don't know the vinyl I was using it was thick white HTV I believe and when the Maker asked to pick a setting I choose first vinyl and the needle just road over the top of the vinyl. Then I tried it again and choose everyday iron-on and it cut a little but not deep enough. I though something was wrong with my fine point holder or needle. Didn't know if there were any adjustment but from other videos I see there aren't any. Really sorry for being a pain.

So to make a stencil you would delete the duck instead of the background?
Yes and no. You can just weed the duck out instead of weeding the background when you cut it with the machine

Is there any way of doing a complex design as a jpeg ? Sometimes I can’t find a vector image but a normal pic will get very blurred when I save as a cut image . Is there any way around this ? Many thanks
Go to advanced on the left side and change color tolerance to 100

I'm using a chromebook and it says it's not compatible. You just cut from the machine without having to print anything correct?
Correct. But chromebooks do not work with design space

As long as you cleaned it up you can just change the line type at the top of the screen to cut

your image is likely not a nice clear image. you will either need to find a new image or try to convert it using inkscape
why when i try to cut a baseball image, it comes oval? i tried to to do a heartbeat wave baseball thing when i tried to cut it out everything was separate? thanks

Hello all so I'm very very new at this. I started a monogram and I managed to upload an image from Google and I started cutting away some parts of the background to the point where I see the grid...so I got to a point where I want to test print It on vinyl and this is what i get print image not supported?. Am I missing something? I'm using an app not the desktop will that make a difference?
You are saving it as a print not a cut. Make sure you save the image by selecting the one on the right after you clean it up
hello, ive been trying to so a cut out design similar to this but with the punisher silhouette on a camouflage print vinyl but cant seem to get it? can you show a sample of how to do that please?

You are saving it incorrectly. You need to be sure you have clicked the image on the right after you clean up the white. That is the cut image.
Can you also do this on the cricut joy?
Yes the Joy uses design space exactly the same
I can't get past the layers part I'm kind of lost
So every time I try to put pink logo on babies outfit I upload and it says to print and cut so I print it scans it pic uploads to Cricut but it won’t cut it it keeps wanting to scan help!!

It should ask you to clean it up it asks for simple moderet or complex. Unless you load an svg

be sure you are choosing the picture on the right and not the picture on the left after you clean it up and click continue.
what if there was a blue background behind the duck??
you remove the blue. You remove anything that is considered background
Select the image on the right created by cricut so you can cut without printing!
Wow. Cricut is so much harder then the Cameo to use.
