I decided to go reset my file and grab a mix of Pokemon from both the DLC and the main game for my gym challenge team, within the first 30 minutes of exploring the DLC I found a shiny Ralts and Seedot, both actually having beneficial natures too (Modest and Adamant respectively)
6:57 I've seen a couple of caves like these, I thought it was a spawn glitch or something! One time I fell into one of the holes on the mountain and it was just a cave with way too many Swinub. Anyway I've found 2 shinies so far (Corphish and Starly) and I haven't even started using sandwiches yet! I guess I'm gonna start that today. Good luck with your hunts everyone!
Oh, yeah! I found that cave, too! It spawns only Swinub! There are little dens here and there that only have certain Pokémon in Kitakami, kind of like the Hidden Grottos in BW2!
Same here! I walked into a cave and battled an ogre clan trainer, and by the time I turned around I realised there was an entire line of 12 geodudes watching me
This is sooo useful because they changed something about the colours of the overall game it seems. My brain gave several errors shiny hunting! So it's great seeing them in-game! 😊

I was checking the bottom of a few of them, when in the distance, I spotted it. The Pink Fiend. I then proceeded to catch the full odds shiny Heracross.
The shinies in this game are something else. On my first day playing the base game i caught a full odds random Shinx shiny. Did my first playthrough with em. Evolved em up to Luxray and it looks amazing in game.
I first found your channel a couple weeks ago and you’ve inspired me to not only finish Pokémon scarlet to get the shiny charm, but also start shiny hunting in general! I’ve only got four right now but I just did my first successful outbreak hunt for a greavard! Ended up coming out with a shiny drifblim too!

Same ! Actually managed to finish it beside the mythical Pokémons, but since the DLC came out you just need one of the new mons of the DLC, breed them (usually Poltchageist) and you're just getting assured GTS trades one after the other 😂

I've found one shiny in Teal Mask - hunted in an outbreak, no sandwiches, have a shiny charm - and am so happy with my little Ralts. He's gonna be gorgeous when he grows up! You make shiny hunting not only sound enticing and fun, but seem so incredibly viable. And it is! Your videos - especially the shiny badge challenge - inspired me to take up shiny hunting as a hobby, and I have not regretted a moment of it. I got a shiny on the very first day of the Teal Mask which I'm happy about. You know what I had to do when I saw a Lombre outbreak was happening. Crazy shiny luck though, nice catches!
I used to have a shiny Yanma in a Roblox Pokémon game known as Brick Bronze. It was full odds, and I loved it. When Roblox got sued by Nintendo and I lost it, I was heartbroken. Many years later, I finally reclaimed it in Pokémon Go!
I have always had the most rotten shiny luck since I first started playing pokemon back in Gen 5 but after watching your videos and deciding I’d give shiny hunting a try, I ran into TWO shinies back to back completely randomly! I swear your shiny luck is transferable, literally minutes after watching your video I found a full (shiny charm) odds kirlia while just wandering, and a few hours later I found a shiny mankey the same way. Either that or Kitakami has a million shiny pokemon
Honestly, before you brought it up, I hadn't even considered that changing "remove UI" to "take photo" would make it harder for content creators to get their shots. My initial reaction to all the photo changes were 100% positive, but now I hope they put the Remove UI option back as well!
Seeing that they added a bunch of mythical Pokémon in this dlc, and the next dlc being in unova is giving me hope that victini will return and my ribbon master victini will finally be able to get the partner mark
As soon as I finished the story I immediately got to shiny hunting a Vulpix. Ninetales is my favorite pokemon and I spent a couple days filling up the Paldea pokedex prior to get the shiny charm specifically for catching one. I found two of them within ten minutes of making the sandwich. I don't think I've ever been happier.
That is a lot of shinies! I only have the random Wooper I got while hunting for Litwick and said Litwick. However, as Chandelure is my favorite pokemon of all time, I will never complain.
Fun fact: You actually don't need a specific combination of Herba Mystica for shiny hunting sandwiches. The ingredients you need are: one serving of Tomato, one serving of Green Bell Pepper, one serving of Onion, one serving of Hamburger, two servings of the ingredient that corresponds to the type you want (there's a list of them online somewhere), and then you can throw whatever two Herba Mystica you want on there. It'll result in level 3 Encounter Power, Mark Power, and Sparkling Power for the type you chose.

I've found 4 shiny pokemon in my entire career. I've played Pokemon since Red and Blue as a child. Pinsir in Silver. Fekkin nothing else until Sword and Shield when a raid had shiny Qwilfish, and then a Mr. Mime and Parasect, whom I both despise. 😂
I've been playing pokemmon 20 ish years and have sub 10 shinies lmao. I maxed the in-game clock in hg ss bw and bw2 as well, and I only got one of my shinies in those 6 games. (Not counting the free ones you get in bw2)

This is so cool! I got quite a few shinies myself in my play through. I decided to hunt slugma, because I could isolate it in the crystal lake. I actually stepped on the shiny before I saw it, as it blended into the rocks so much. I also found a Corphish in an outbreak, then another Slugma in an outbreak (which I evolved without knowing Magcargo is a bright pink, so that was a cool surprise). Then I found a random toedscruel, and started hunting a Bonsly outbreak. Before the Bonsly appeared, I got a random Nosepass. I didn’t use any sandwiches on the outbreak, so that was pure shiny charm odds. I am looking forward to hunting alt form outbreaks, now that they have actually fixed the default form bug.
17:18 I was playing the DLC and found a full odds shiny Mienfoo and just now that I’m comenting this i was catching a Mienfoo and your were shiny hunting Mienfoo, WHAT!?
I love that you remind us to stay hydrated, because I watch your videos while crafting and will often go hours without drinking water if I don't get reminded
My first (and only so far) shiny in the DLC was a Poochyena. Little Bro was just sitting on the side of the road, watching me do Surprise Trades, before I realized "Hey, there's no Yellow Puppers in this region"
Caught two shinies while watching this. I finally decided to make a shiny sandwich after hunting Lurantis for 5 days straight (I’ve been keeping my Switch on the same day this whole time lmao). First ever time making a shiny sandwich, and no shiny charm whatsoever… and I immediately found a shiny Lurantis as soon as I reloaded the spawns. Named him Orchid, decided to try to find more shinies, and saw there was a Toedscool outbreak too. Flew to it, and immediately there was a shiny. Named her Shiitake. Didn’t get to find others during the sandwich duration, but 2 within a single zone reload is insane for me. Too bad it took me 2 whole days to get any herba mysticas
I enjoy your videos a lot, you're so fun to watch. Thanks to your videos I went and started to be a shiny hunter on my own. The hardest to this day was Roaring Moon, took 3 Gible, 2 Gabite and 5 Zwelious before one Roaring Moon. But throughout all the hardship of finding that yellow boi, your videos were on the BG and kept me very entertained while hunting. Keep up with the great work!

I actually was just wandering around and found an outbreak of sentret in the same spot as you. I hunted with only a encounter power level 1. No shiny power or charm. And I got a shiny. Super cool
When I saw johto Wooper was back I immediately started hunting for a shiny one, I caught one pretty fast and I named it after you because I always enjoy watching your videos :3
There’s a hidden hole at the top of the crater- i mean mountain, and halfway down the drop is a secret cave off the side. I accidentally slid into it, and it was rammed with carbink, all surrounding one shiny one like it was their leader. Love the random Cult Caves.
After hearing about my friends shiny hunting and just about the game in general, i decided to get Pokemon Violet yesterday, and after 3 gyms, ive decided i want a shiny Larvesta and Chewtle, in part thanks to this, wonderfully amazing channel!
This DLC is truly amazing, especially with all of the new Pokémon added and people able to get shinies of said new Pokémon, adding all sorts of new opportunities for shiny hunting. I heard of people getting shinies within the first few minutes of the DLC, but for me, it took me a whole entire week (9/12 to 9/19) until I found my first full-odds shiny of the DLC, a Poochyena. I had already caught Ogerpon and beaten the game at that point. It was around three days after I beat the game. Some other full-odds shinies I've found in Kitakami include a Vulpix, Corphish, & Haunter. Take note that I didn't have the shiny charm before the DLC released, having only caught 270+ Pokémon in the Paldean Pokédex. And before the DLC released, I managed to find 27 different species of shiny Pokémon, most of them found full odds. Some exceptions include a random shiny Klefki I got from a Klefki outbreak without harming any other Klefki, and then a random Iron Moth I named "Paradox", also my first shiny paradox Pokémon. Both of those used sandwiches with sparkling power 3. I'm probably also *not* the first person to mention this, but you can get a Magikarp as high as level 100 from the wild in a random pond in Fellhorn Gorge slightly southeast of the Fallen Horn flying taxi spot. I wonder if anyone has tried to search for a shiny level 100 Magikarp in this location yet... (To make this easier, use the Lock-On feature with ZL to view their levels, for those wondering.)
Congrats on the sparkles! I haven't watched the entire video yet, so apologies if you bring it up later, but I feel like they broke the shiny rate with the DLC. I've caught 4 full-odds shinies and 2 with an outbreak (in the same outbreak!!) so far and I've played for less than 20 hours since it dropped (The outbreak was in Paldea, so it isn't DLC exclusive). Haven't used any sparkle sandwiches yet. Either way, I'm having a really fun time trying to find my favourite shinies and catching even more others along the way. Good luck to all of you ^^
Funnily enough, Wooper was the first shiny I got in Teal Mask. I had just gotten to the town, went back to grab some items I saw along the first road, and saw a spot of pink on the riverbank. And not long after that, shiny Spinarak. Those little spiders seem particularly prolific in their shininess, because that was not the only one I found wandering around before I even finished the DLCs story. So, shiny Quagsire and Ariados before I even saw a normal one. Neat.
All these shinies look so great with the new textures. First thing I did in the DLC was hunt for Kommo-O because I wanted to use it in the story and those metallic scales are just SO good.
One thing I love about Shiny Dipplin is that if the Dipplin is shiny, the move Syrup Bomb will also be shiny, normally the move would be red, but if a shiny Dipplin is using it then it will be yellow/gold. also, I want to shiny hunt thanks Catherine.
As much as it'd be cool to make your channel's iconic pokemon shiny wooper, I don't believe such a widely beloved pokemon could be associated with just your channel. Other than that, I love your content!
Funniest things happened to me while watching this video! I hunted for shinies yesterday and got nothing, but the minute I turn this video on, I got a shiny Rellor from an outbreak, and then I went to a Pineco outbreak and got not one, but two shiny Pineco in an outbreak! My first ever double spawn too! And then in the same outbreak reset, I noticed I got a Ralts outbreak! And before I finished knocking 60 out, I got my third ever shiny Ralts! I had to Herba Mystica the first two and failed the first one because I got greedy, but I had hunted on and off for it several times after and never got amother one, so I'm really happy! This video, on top of all of this luck, was amazing! I love your shiny Kommo-o, I was so disappointed it wasn't in base SV, but I'll definitely be getting the DLC just for shiny Jangmo-o, he's my second favorite psuedo, and watching you hunt for him made me incredibly happy! Poochyena was the first Shiny I got in Emerald, which I still have to this day, but my DS broke so I can't transfer it up. It's so nice to see the Golden Pooch in Scarlet and Violet. One day I'll be able to gave my GoldenBoy in my current Gen games.

A shiny Paldean Wooper was my first shiny too! I took my first step into the wild, and I see a group of Wooper. I note the regular Wooper, but see a “regular” one and go: “Oh, they have the original!” Then, I stop and run at it. BOOM, shiny Paldean Wooper within half an hour of this game. No other Pokemon, aside from my starter in the party. I have dumb luck with shinies, but this was a new one.
There's been a new patch/update to outbreaks to include the different forms of pokemon rather than one base form. I don't know if that applies to the pokemon you're hunting next (because that one is COMPLICATED) but good luck regardless!! Lets hope for under 250 this time lol
I just got Pokémon scarlet a week ago and on my second day, I was heading towards my first gym after catching I full team of crappy Pokémon and I ran across some whooper hanging out with their clodsire mom, then I noticed one was a brighter color and common sense i encountered it and it happened to be shiny! Now I have a level 76 shiny clodsire named tinkles.
I actually got my first Kitakami shiny last night, which is a Midnight Form Lycanroc. I named her Luna. I saw an outbreak of Midnight Form Lycanroc and thought "eh, I've caught this shiny before in a different game, but I'm gonna try it anyways"

I was just wandering around kitakami and discovered the wisteria lake area, when a little group of ralts walk up to me curiously, and then would ya look at that, there was one with a blue knoggin! I wan so happy cuz last time I played I did a gallade outbreak, so now I can get a shiny gardevoir. THEN, not even 10 min later in continuing my exploration a NEON PINK aipom RUNS across my screen and I quickly case it to catch it XD I so rarely shiny hunt or have shiny luck so that really made my day XD

I've found 4 shiny pokemon in my entire career. I've played Pokemon since Red and Blue as a child. Pinsir in Silver. Fekkin nothing else until Sword and Shield when a raid had shiny Qwilfish, and then a Mr. Mime and Parasect, whom I both despise. 😂
I've been playing pokemmon 20 ish years and have sub 10 shinies lmao. I maxed the in-game clock in hg ss bw and bw2 as well, and I only got one of my shinies in those 6 games. (Not counting the free ones you get in bw2)

I found my first ever shiny within 15 minutes of getting the dlc, and it was a Shiny Wooper! And I love Shiny Quagsire so much!
This is so cool! I got quite a few shinies myself in my play through. I decided to hunt slugma, because I could isolate it in the crystal lake. I actually stepped on the shiny before I saw it, as it blended into the rocks so much. I also found a Corphish in an outbreak, then another Slugma in an outbreak (which I evolved without knowing Magcargo is a bright pink, so that was a cool surprise). Then I found a random toedscruel, and started hunting a Bonsly outbreak. Before the Bonsly appeared, I got a random Nosepass. I didn’t use any sandwiches on the outbreak, so that was pure shiny charm odds. I am looking forward to hunting alt form outbreaks, now that they have actually fixed the default form bug.

I finally decided to make a shiny sandwich after hunting Lurantis for 5 days straight (I’ve been keeping my Switch on the same day this whole time lmao). First ever time making a shiny sandwich, and no shiny charm whatsoever… and I immediately found a shiny Lurantis as soon as I reloaded the spawns.
Named him Orchid, decided to try to find more shinies, and saw there was a Toedscool outbreak too.
Flew to it, and immediately there was a shiny. Named her Shiitake.
Didn’t get to find others during the sandwich duration, but 2 within a single zone reload is insane for me.
Too bad it took me 2 whole days to get any herba mysticas
I enjoy your videos a lot, you're so fun to watch. Thanks to your videos I went and started to be a shiny hunter on my own. The hardest to this day was Roaring Moon, took 3 Gible, 2 Gabite and 5 Zwelious before one Roaring Moon. But throughout all the hardship of finding that yellow boi, your videos were on the BG and kept me very entertained while hunting. Keep up with the great work!

I actually was just wandering around and found an outbreak of sentret in the same spot as you. I hunted with only a encounter power level 1. No shiny power or charm. And I got a shiny. Super cool
When I saw johto Wooper was back I immediately started hunting for a shiny one, I caught one pretty fast and I named it after you because I always enjoy watching your videos :3
There’s a hidden hole at the top of the crater- i mean mountain, and halfway down the drop is a secret cave off the side. I accidentally slid into it, and it was rammed with carbink, all surrounding one shiny one like it was their leader. Love the random Cult Caves.
After hearing about my friends shiny hunting and just about the game in general, i decided to get Pokemon Violet yesterday, and after 3 gyms, ive decided i want a shiny Larvesta and Chewtle, in part thanks to this, wonderfully amazing channel!
This DLC is truly amazing, especially with all of the new Pokémon added and people able to get shinies of said new Pokémon, adding all sorts of new opportunities for shiny hunting. I heard of people getting shinies within the first few minutes of the DLC, but for me, it took me a whole entire week (9/12 to 9/19) until I found my first full-odds shiny of the DLC, a Poochyena. I had already caught Ogerpon and beaten the game at that point. It was around three days after I beat the game. Some other full-odds shinies I've found in Kitakami include a Vulpix, Corphish, & Haunter. Take note that I didn't have the shiny charm before the DLC released, having only caught 270+ Pokémon in the Paldean Pokédex. And before the DLC released, I managed to find 27 different species of shiny Pokémon, most of them found full odds. Some exceptions include a random shiny Klefki I got from a Klefki outbreak without harming any other Klefki, and then a random Iron Moth I named "Paradox", also my first shiny paradox Pokémon. Both of those used sandwiches with sparkling power 3.
I'm probably also *not* the first person to mention this, but you can get a Magikarp as high as level 100 from the wild in a random pond in Fellhorn Gorge slightly southeast of the Fallen Horn flying taxi spot. I wonder if anyone has tried to search for a shiny level 100 Magikarp in this location yet... (To make this easier, use the Lock-On feature with ZL to view their levels, for those wondering.)

I haven't watched the entire video yet, so apologies if you bring it up later, but I feel like they broke the shiny rate with the DLC. I've caught 4 full-odds shinies and 2 with an outbreak (in the same outbreak!!) so far and I've played for less than 20 hours since it dropped (The outbreak was in Paldea, so it isn't DLC exclusive). Haven't used any sparkle sandwiches yet.
Either way, I'm having a really fun time trying to find my favourite shinies and catching even more others along the way.

Funnily enough, Wooper was the first shiny I got in Teal Mask. I had just gotten to the town, went back to grab some items I saw along the first road, and saw a spot of pink on the riverbank.
And not long after that, shiny Spinarak. Those little spiders seem particularly prolific in their shininess, because that was not the only one I found wandering around before I even finished the DLCs story. So, shiny Quagsire and Ariados before I even saw a normal one. Neat.

All these shinies look so great with the new textures. First thing I did in the DLC was hunt for Kommo-O because I wanted to use it in the story and those metallic scales are just SO good.
One thing I love about Shiny Dipplin is that if the Dipplin is shiny, the move Syrup Bomb will also be shiny, normally the move would be red, but if a shiny Dipplin is using it then it will be yellow/gold. also, I want to shiny hunt thanks Catherine.
As much as it'd be cool to make your channel's iconic pokemon shiny wooper, I don't believe such a widely beloved pokemon could be associated with just your channel. Other than that, I love your content!
Funniest things happened to me while watching this video! I hunted for shinies yesterday and got nothing, but the minute I turn this video on, I got a shiny Rellor from an outbreak, and then I went to a Pineco outbreak and got not one, but two shiny Pineco in an outbreak! My first ever double spawn too! And then in the same outbreak reset, I noticed I got a Ralts outbreak! And before I finished knocking 60 out, I got my third ever shiny Ralts! I had to Herba Mystica the first two and failed the first one because I got greedy, but I had hunted on and off for it several times after and never got amother one, so I'm really happy! This video, on top of all of this luck, was amazing! I love your shiny Kommo-o, I was so disappointed it wasn't in base SV, but I'll definitely be getting the DLC just for shiny Jangmo-o, he's my second favorite psuedo, and watching you hunt for him made me incredibly happy! Poochyena was the first Shiny I got in Emerald, which I still have to this day, but my DS broke so I can't transfer it up. It's so nice to see the Golden Pooch in Scarlet and Violet. One day I'll be able to gave my GoldenBoy in my current Gen games.

A shiny Paldean Wooper was my first shiny too! I took my first step into the wild, and I see a group of Wooper. I note the regular Wooper, but see a “regular” one and go: “Oh, they have the original!” Then, I stop and run at it. BOOM, shiny Paldean Wooper within half an hour of this game. No other Pokemon, aside from my starter in the party. I have dumb luck with shinies, but this was a new one.
I searched and searched for the hoot hoot cave and the first time walking in I found a golden hooting bird. Thanks for the cool hunting spot.

There are a ton of shiny sandwich recipes that don’t require any salty herba mystica! They do require more regular ingredients though
There's been a new patch/update to outbreaks to include the different forms of pokemon rather than one base form. I don't know if that applies to the pokemon you're hunting next (because that one is COMPLICATED) but good luck regardless!! Lets hope for under 250 this time lol

I just got Pokémon scarlet a week ago and on my second day, I was heading towards my first gym after catching I full team of crappy Pokémon and I ran across some whooper hanging out with their clodsire mom, then I noticed one was a brighter color and common sense i encountered it and it happened to be shiny! Now I have a level 76 shiny clodsire named tinkles.

I was just wandering around kitakami and discovered the wisteria lake area, when a little group of ralts walk up to me curiously, and then would ya look at that, there was one with a blue knoggin! I wan so happy cuz last time I played I did a gallade outbreak, so now I can get a shiny gardevoir. THEN, not even 10 min later in continuing my exploration a NEON PINK aipom RUNS across my screen and I quickly case it to catch it XD I so rarely shiny hunt or have shiny luck so that really made my day XD
