It's also interesting to note just how much the outside of Knole, resembles the outside of Cardinal Wolsey's Hampton Court. Kind of makes you wonder if he took some design ideas from Knole when he was envisioning Hampton Court.
Speaking of which.......when H* took over HCP from Wolsey, does anyone know just where did Wolsey go to live?

Glad to see that these treasures are being preserved, however is it just me or did the guy have to touch and manhandle everything? Also the lady walking on the footprints. I would think that you would want to avoid them so they would stay preserved. Just seemed ignorant to me

Finally that screechy voice of Alice Watson is gone - it used to make my hair stand on end!!!
The screechy voice comes from her entrails after a night of horror in the dungeons where peasants were tortured to death making she screeched with satisfaction.
