- We extended our layover in Lima so we could have a look around! Lima is an impressive city that offers a ton of options for food, activities, nature, and good times. Everyone in the family really enjoyed our 4 sleeps in Lima. We stayed downtown in Mariflores. We highly recommend a visit to Lima if you ever get the opportunity.
Lima is the city with the best food in Latin America! It has the best restaurants in the world and the best nightlife. The nights of Lima in summer next to the Pacific with a delicious ceviche are the best of South America. Love from 🇵🇪 Pucallpa!

Perú is the country of SURFING historically, there are Pre-INCA age pottery that show The Old natives used to dominate the waves. The first Champion in the First Worldwide Surfing Competition was Peruvian even.
I was super impressed with the surfing in Peru. The waves were perfect and the riders were good. Thanks for telling me about the surfing history. I am going to watch some videos about it!

I Recommend Cusco city, Sacsasaywaman, Palcoyo rainbow mountain, Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu, also Iquitos city in the amazonian rainforest is amazing, near to Lima visit the Huacachina Oasis in Ica city also a great adventure sandboarding and having fun with boogies in the desert dunes and in northern coast of Peru the best beaches Mancora, Los Organos were you can swim with giant turtles, and if You are lucky could watch humpback whales.

there are lots to do in Lima, tons of free museams, zoo, the water fountain park, beaches outside lima, the north of Peru , macchu picchu, Nazca lines, Ica Huacachina, etc, maybe next time

Nice clips from Lima. I see you enjoy it so much, hope you return for visiting Cuzco, Machu Picchu is an awesome place for a family trip and try peruvian gastronommy for your kids I recommend «Lomo Saltado» chop beefs with french fries, and sliced of onions and tomatoes, served with white rice.

@@McClintonfamilydventures take on your Peru list, besides Machu Picchu, spending some days on Inkaterra lodge in the rainforest of Madre de Dios (Mick Jagger eas there), Nazca Lines and Huacachina Oasis and dunes from Ica (sigthseeings like you be at Sahara dessert) where you practice some great extreme sports, spend a day at Taquile Island on Titicaca Lake with quechua community... try ceviche, change donuts with peruvian «picarones», etc. 🤘

@@McClintonfamilydventuresIt depends on the cities you want to see, for example Lima is beautiful in summer December, January, February, March although in October, November the sun already rises. But if you want to go to the mountains or jungle, the best times are from July to October approximately, then there is a lot of rain.

Nice u guys had great time in Lima, Lima is amazing! But seems like you didn’t stay long enough to go to other nice districts like barranco. San Isidro, etc .. almost..
You didn’t try Peruvian food.. that’s a no no.. Peru has the number one best restaurant in the world in its in barranco but there are others that are better.. for example huariques are better than restaurants..
Also I wouldn’t recommend to go around Lima on Sunday because it’s very boring.. locals don’t come out so much.. yeah there’s ppl but the true Lima is from Monday to Saturday.. there’s more life.. next time at least stay 3 weeks 😂 and come from February on.. it’s better ;)
You were in Lima try Peruvian food.. at least in Vancouver if u don’t trust foreign dishes, you will regret however not having this dishes in Lima. That 7 sopas places it’s actually good.

@@McClintonfamilydventures your spring? or ours? Well.. you already visit the jungle in Iquitos.. You can go to Piura, Chiclayo and Trujillo (north of the country and also the coast), then yoy can go to Arequipa, Puno and Cusco (South of the country and also the mountain
It will be March 6 to march 28. Sometime very close to that.

We didn’t travel to all the places. Sometimes, the kids don’t want to go everywhere, so we have to choose the places they will like the best.
Which one is colder, Tofino or Lima's beach?
Tofino is definitely colder. I live on Vancouver Island and go to Tofino all the time. It is really cold, beautiful, but cold.

We surf and swim at tofino all the time, but if I had the chance, I would definitely choose Lima for retirement! It’s amazing. Really warm weather, great food and beautiful scenery. I have been to many cities, and I was totally impressed with Lima.
@@McClintonfamilydventures Let's take into account that Peru is suffering from the El Niño phenomenon this year and the water is much warmer than usual. Also the weather temperature is usually colder.

We were in Iquitos for 3 days and Lima for 3 days, but with the flying, it was like two days. We tried to do as much as possible, but with kids it can be hard to move around quickly! We will definitely come back next year to look again. Thanks!

Haha! It’s true. lol. So many donuts. My son Ewan is a fussy eater! We did try lots of food, but we didn’t put it on the camera. We had some delicious Ramen. The best food we had was the steak!!
