Right now, the video made me realize that aldos had put a bone in that suitcase for James's dog, and then when James made the elixir and gave it to his dog, his dog did not die, but he himself died, so the last element of that elixir was in the bone.
Only now I realize how scared Frank mush have been from being dropped into that dark well.
