- When the infamous detective Dale Vandermeer wakes up in an ominous room without any recollection of his past, he soon finds himself part of a bizarre game orchestrated by an old foe as he must solve increasingly challenging puzzles to escape the room and recover his memories.

In this unique crossover you follow detective Dale Vandermeer who needs to escape the room in parallel universes. Both game and the short film will be connected in various ways: find secret symbols, unlock multiple endings and above all experience the same room in different ways.

@@aminelm2474 if you look at the slide on the globe, you have to work backwards to connect the starting point to final point. So if you go to the very last slide and start at the finish, you will use the various landmarks on the slides to navigate your way to the start. For example, there is one part when the boat is approaching a valley, so you connect the dots from the water through the valley to the city. It's rather tricky. It's even more difficult to explain but I hoped it kind of helped. I'm sure you could find an actual how to video for the game and just fast forward to that point.

The budget for this looks pretty high. It's more cinematic than most movies
Actually, it looks very low budget. That being said, they were very ambitious in the direction, camera work, and pacing.

The fact that this low budget feature film is better produced than any Netflix original movie/series is astonishing. This has more work put into it than all of the netflix crap.

It's incredibly, I loved everything in that game. Paradox is now one of my favorites. I loved the performance they put in the mini movie. It's liked how for us in the game the visions are realistic, in reality for Dale is in cartoon. It's just beautiful.
I love how in the game they explain that cartoon Dale is normal. He knows something is wrong when he's real

I downloaded the seasons about a year ago thinking it was just a normal escape game till I figured out there was many more cubes to escape and now this is one of my favorite games and I’m surprised with how well this hole thing went I hope Mac Pat makes a video out of this game sooner or later just so he could specify the story of the hole game
I love the interiour design. Some things are eerily similar to those in the game, but some are not. Maybe a budget limitation, but it works to throw us off balance.

I literally love rusty lake with my entire being. It is my personality at this rate. I recently bought two games which I had only been allowed to watch playthroughs of them before. It reignited my passion for these games and I’m so happy other people know of them and enjoyed them just as much as I do

I love how Dale casually goes from surprise to surprise that fast and the actor is phenomenal . We two had interactions like : " No Dale you idiot dont drink the blue vial ! It stood in my note ! " and : " Damn Dale ! Is that a memory cube ! Hold on last time i looked in it it "...
This game is very different, it is like a breath of fresh air. It took me 3 hours to complete the 1st chapter but I really enjoyed myself playing it the entire time and I cannot stop. It was not easy, as if my head was going to explode, however after finishing it, I felt so relieved with a feeling of joy. Strongly recommend for all escape room fans.

The actor who played Dale is a real proffessional in Paradox, that's why he found exit in 18 minutes. I am already playing Dale in this game for 12 hours, and still I haven't found the way out :(

@@thecoolring6431 Assuming you've played the other cube escape games in the series, and you've played Paradox, then the order of the chapters in paradox goes "Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Movie" and back to chapter 1. Otherwise, if you haven't played the series or paradox, then it's best you do for the context of the movie.

My theory is that he is the dark man with the glowing eyes and he killed Laura but can't face the reality and brutality of his actions. Or maybe just can't mentally accept what he's done. This is solely on the basis of him looking into the mirror and seeing the dark man with glowing eyes. Also I just played chapter 1 of this game, first time playing a rusty lake game. Absolutely phenomenal.

I thought it was Laura and in the samsara game my theory is we are playing as William's corrupted soul and at the end we see Rose holding baby in the lake. But if William was Laura why did she got killed / suicide after all those sacrifices...

I finished all the Rusty Lake games (Hotel, Roots and Paradise) then I found the Cube Escape saga, finished it and now I just completed Samsara Room. Now I'm playing The White Door...Thank you Rusty Lake!

If you guys have shot a full length of this story, please, I want to see so bad!!! It's absolutely beautifully made, mind blowing and intriguing!!!
The best part of this short film is how completely and utterly confused Dale is every time something weird goes down.
We usually don't get to experience the character we control's thoughts or reactions in the games. Which is a bit odd itself considering that they all have an important role story-wise.
So seeing Dale so bewildered in this 18 minute masterpiece is not only a joy, but a really odd reliving feeling. It's nice to know that whoever I get stuck controlling is as baffled as I am with what happens by the lake.
True, at least for me it was an big problem in paradise where the entire eilander family never made an single reaction of confusion during the entire game.
I actually love that the characters are usually so stoic.
totagamefull Well, remember that the Eilanders have known about the mythology of the Lake and its mysterious power for presumably a long time based on how they act and what we see in the game. They flat out worship the Lake and the wisdom that it supposedly is capable of giving. By the time Jacob comes back to Paradise, the other characters are not only aware of the strangeness that is coming but seems to almost accept it.
At least that is the way that I see it, I might be totally wrong.
But if there is something that I have learned to accept in this strange world that we love so much in spite of how much it confuses us, it is that those that are connected to the Lake in some fashion always behave in a strange manor.
Netflix should REALLY make series about this

Oh my god this was absolutely amazing. Definitely playing Part 2 in a moment. I can't believe the actor for Dale Vandermeer was so on point! I love that this had to have been made alongside the game for the TV to have the right visuals and vice versa in the game. Phenomenal work, I don't think any mobile game has gone as far as this!!!
I swear to God this deserve a billion Oscars and even Nobels for such perfection and excellence I hope you entertain us with much long movies I mean real movies !

This is a dream come true for any fan of the games. There are so many things to enjoy in this short film.
The attention to detail, the fantastic acting (something that is no small feat given how little dialogue there is), the fantastic sets, the incredible atmosphere, the call-backs and especially that wonderful meeting with Mr Crow in that misty forest.
I have been following this wonderful series of gems ever since at least Cube Escape: Case 23 and it has only gotten better with time, especially the story-telling and the characters have come a long way. I love the bizarre world that has been created and the way that it manages to suck you in to a point where things can make no sense and it doesn’t impact the experience anyway. I honestly can not put my love for this series into words and I want to really thank Rusty Lake for going the extra mile with this short film, adding it to the extremely short list of films based on games that actually lives up to their source-material.
I am eagerly looking forward to whatever Rusty Lake has in store next, the Lake has sunk into my mind and is never going to leave.
