If netflix put a little effort in this and tried hard to make it creepy, I think I would shit myself then. I almost did when watching this short movie, so yeah... please don't, netflix.😰
The best part of this short film is how completely and utterly confused Dale is every time something weird goes down. We usually don't get to experience the character we control's thoughts or reactions in the games. Which is a bit odd itself considering that they all have an important role story-wise. So seeing Dale so bewildered in this 18 minute masterpiece is not only a joy, but a really odd reliving feeling. It's nice to know that whoever I get stuck controlling is as baffled as I am with what happens by the lake.
True, at least for me it was an big problem in paradise where the entire eilander family never made an single reaction of confusion during the entire game.
totagamefull Well, remember that the Eilanders have known about the mythology of the Lake and its mysterious power for presumably a long time based on how they act and what we see in the game. They flat out worship the Lake and the wisdom that it supposedly is capable of giving. By the time Jacob comes back to Paradise, the other characters are not only aware of the strangeness that is coming but seems to almost accept it. At least that is the way that I see it, I might be totally wrong. But if there is something that I have learned to accept in this strange world that we love so much in spite of how much it confuses us, it is that those that are connected to the Lake in some fashion always behave in a strange manor.
This is a dream come true for any fan of the games. There are so many things to enjoy in this short film. The attention to detail, the fantastic acting (something that is no small feat given how little dialogue there is), the fantastic sets, the incredible atmosphere, the call-backs and especially that wonderful meeting with Mr Crow in that misty forest. I have been following this wonderful series of gems ever since at least Cube Escape: Case 23 and it has only gotten better with time, especially the story-telling and the characters have come a long way. I love the bizarre world that has been created and the way that it manages to suck you in to a point where things can make no sense and it doesn’t impact the experience anyway. I honestly can not put my love for this series into words and I want to really thank Rusty Lake for going the extra mile with this short film, adding it to the extremely short list of films based on games that actually lives up to their source-material. I am eagerly looking forward to whatever Rusty Lake has in store next, the Lake has sunk into my mind and is never going to leave.

THIS WAS SO GOOD!! I am so glad I accidentally found Samsara Room because it unlocked the world of Rusty Lake. I have never been so invested in my life, I love how you guys brought the game to life. Aside from the existential crisis, this is the best thing to happen to me in 2020! Thank you Rusty Lake!!
same, I played Samsara Room first. Though not all the puzzles is solved by my own. It made curious about the other games of its publisher. Never knew its games are somehow connected.
I accidentally started with rusty lake hotel, played all the rusty lake games and then played through all the cube collection games and then finished it with samsara room, the white door and lastly this one. Now I have played all of them and feel empty :D sich a great game Series

I just replayed through all the free rusty lake games and I'm gonna buy the other ones soon cause bruh i cant get enough of this universe. It's the perfect amount of unsettling for me
i been playing them since idk 5 years ago ig but honestly this series just have so much adaptation potential. Movies (with all the series), books, webtoons, or even actual real life escape room, you name it. cant help but hoping for more

I almost cried when I saw the hotel. This is so great! Just wanna give out kudos to the actors as well especially David Bowles. Absolutely amazing. Really captures the feel of the games. The lingering dread, but also the sadness and mystery
Rusty Lake is SO extra. The fact that they made a whole film that directly mirrors the game is..... *chef's kiss*. This is part of the reason why I love Rusty Lake as a game series and company. All but two or three or your game are free, and the ones that we do have to pay for are just $1-3 which feels like a STEAL. Thank you and I look forward to more RL games in the future :')

I've been playing Rusty Lake games ever since it first came out. What a trip this has been. So many great games, insane graphic and brilliant storyline! Delightful to finally see this into a short film. This should be made into it's own movie. Keep up the great work guys! I got goosebumps seeing the characters come alive on screen, especially Mr Crow!
I was wondering how would you portrait the weirdness of this universe and it's mystery tone in realistic way. And, God, it was brilliant. Every part of Cube Escape games was carefully put into it's own place. I don't know why, but I was glad, when I saw these iconic matches. I was so excited, I didn't even noticed how the time had past. Thank you for this wonderful series and for the opportunity to feel how everything really is. Please, keep making things like this. There's only one thing, that makes me sad. There have to be more people to know about these amazing games. And, yeah, hello from Russia. There are so many people, who likes, what you're doing. Good luck in the next projects! Can't wait to play the game!
This guy is clearly a premium player. He opened the globe without a key, and got three vials when i only had the red one. *sad pepega* Edit: woa this kinda blew up huh. Happy holidays!
I just noticed a nice detail (spoilers for chapter 2): When Dale opens the drawer with the fish, he flinches, not because it smells bad or because it's gross, but because, as his file states, he has a fear for fish. He must've been terrified of Mr. Owl's final form then.

Why not
4:58 When Dale found a matchbox i was like: YES. I DEFINITELY RECOGNIZE THE GAME.
But sad that he didn't make shapes out of the smoke 😂
I actually love that the characters are usually so stoic.
totagamefull Well, remember that the Eilanders have known about the mythology of the Lake and its mysterious power for presumably a long time based on how they act and what we see in the game.
Not sure if the film promotes the game, or the game promotes the film. Paradox.
Played all 3 chapters and I am now in a loop now.
@@jomarcenter how do you get all the trophies?
