The circle of life: A manufacturer builds a DVD player. A customer buys it for $200. The customer uses the DVD player for about five years, gets another one for his/her birthday. Drops the first DVD player off at a Goodwill. Josh finds it and pays $7.00 for it. Lists it on Ebay for $30. Someone buys it from Josh and uses it for another few years and then decides to buy a new one. Takes the old one to Goodwill and somebody else buys it for $5.00 and sells it on Facebook Marketplace for $25.00. And so it goes. LOL.

The heat bulb burned out and rather that spend a fortune on a new bulb I used a xmas bulb. Just a white one and it worked really well especially as a wonderful adjustable night light.

Goodwills in Central North Carolina sell these “mystery” pallets from time to time. We sell them for $40. They contain mostly housewares. Mostly junk like chipped dishes and glassware . The majority of the valuable stuff was pulled unless you are a skilled reseller that can spot things that the average person may miss.

I appreciate you doing this video. I enjoy dabbling in reselling, but I HATE clutter. I swear I have undiagnosed ADHD. The more ‘stuff’ I have in my life, the more overwhelmed I get. All of that is to say, if I attempted to do a Goodwill pallet, I would likely throw in the towel and never want to do anything with reselling again. It’s obvious that other resellers can do this with no issue, but not for me. Videos like this, where we can see ‘the whole picture’ give so much insight and save people like myself, from going through some rough learning experiences

@11:45 I believe from the titles those cassettes are audio books. All the titles are for classic books and the authors. If the food dehydrator doesn't work sell the trays. They can replace broken ones or allow more than one dehydration use like in AZ where an average summer runs 110 F with a middle month or so at 120+ F.

Really interesting to watch!! :) There's is something really fun about the mystery of an unboxing when you buy a bundle / lot of stuff and you don't always know what you're going to get. For our Ebay store we often buy bundles or lot of games and consoles and people will sometimes throw in an extra controller or accessory that they don't realize is worth anywhere between 30-50$ per accessory ;). Keep up the good work!

Hey Josh, some great finds in there! I love watching mystery unboxing videos. It is so satisfying!
The food dehydrator is interesting! If it doesn't work, you can sell the trays out of it for some decent $$. We do a lot of "replacement parts". Alot of times, people don't just want to chuck their stuff and buy new. For instance, I found a double deep fryer at a garage sale for $5 because it was missing the power cord. I could have found a power cord on Ebay, but shipping the entire thing would be very expensive and would probably only get around $30-$35. Marketplace would be about the same. But I parted it out and I sold the heating element/control panel, both fry baskets, and the oil pot all separately for a total of $97. I do this with food processors, blenders, etc. Just a thought. The one downside to dealing replacement parts is storage. Sometimes they can take up a lot of room. They can be bulky.

Well, the glass wear world is huge. There's just so much out there to know and learn, and you have to weigh, as you noted, if it's worth the trouble and stress of shipping it. One TH-cam ebay educator has a booth at an antique mall where she sells her glass so she doesn't have to ship it. My suggestion is to sorta look up what you run across and mentally catalog the info. You are on the right track to use ebay marketplace for sets, like that blue stuff. You also have a great combo here to have folks shout out what they know about glass.

Some really great money! Way to go! Wanna see more! I know a little about china, Kenwood? Not so much, sorry. I know my art glass and pottery. So, if you have a question, don't hesitate!

Hey Josh, if the bottles don't have a seam they are typically worth more money. Looks like your bottles might be worth some $$$

There can be a lot of money in Dinner Forks ....even just a couple can net upwards of $20-60.....and super easy to send! It was sad seeing them get tossed.

I sell a lot of vintage glassware (it’s pretty and fun to look at while it sits in my house). I’ve sold some of the Kenwood Meito China. Not a ton of money but the sugar bowl you have can go from $15-$20 +shipping. That China was most likely produced between 1954-1978.

I heard some where colored glass is good to sale depending on the brand - I’d check it out
