Man, it's awesome that you broke 125k subs! I remember when I started watching when the hype around hitting 30k was coming around the corner. Cool to see you succeed with your own business! Keep it up, dude!
Hey Josh and Hailey! Last week I had 2 back to back returns, one for a $100. Also a Disney music box that worked fine at the garage sale that comped for around $90 broke when I opened the battery compartment. Thanks to you guys (and other resellers), I took it in stride and chalked up to the cost of doing business. Thanks for giving us resellers some perspective!
Yeah ... this plate is suuuper cute and I really wanted it after seeing it in your previous video. I'm glad I got it and can support you and Hayley with it. So yes a viewer but also a nice/friendly person, at least I try... 😋
Hey josh, I recently bought a couple of bulk shoe lots from an online auction company and without thinking I didn't have the space to store them all to be seen at all times. I had a few massive clear bins laying around so I used plastic bags to put the shoes in and numbered the bags. I then put those bags within the bins and labeled the bins. In my ads I simply put the bag number and bin label in the description and once they sold, I was amazed about how easy it was to pick the shoes. I was able to fit close to 50 pairs of shoes into each bin and have been able to stack them five bins high. I believe they are 112L bins however I could be wrong about the size, they are just the largest ones Walmart / Home Depo sells. I feel like that might be a good alternative for you considering the lack of space you have in your garage and the amount of shoes you typically have for sale at any time. Hope the idea helps!
Such and easy solution. He just needs to go and spend some money on good quality metal wire shelving. They are not cheap but you need to just spend the money and then use the bins / bags idea.
Not with new shoes. I once bought like 60 pairs of shoes at Ross anual liquidation sales. And made the mistake of putting them in bins. And many shoes developed bends pressed next to each other and kind of lowered the value on them.
Just found your channel and I’m obsessed I’m kinda binge watching. I’ve been pretty much bed ridden lately so I found you and your wife. Love your personality but especially when you tell Mose goodbye and tell him his chores for the day! Thank you for sharing with us and may God continue to bless your hard work.

Thanks Brett! I appreciate you being such a faithful viewer! We are pushing hard to get 3 new videos a week now so I don't think we can do anymore, but I love the enthusiasm lol
Hey josh best solutions for shoes I found that works for me is using the usps shoe boxes. Once each pair is listed I put it inside the shoe Box custom Label the box so you know what shoe it is and then just stack the boxes along a wall. Once the shoe is sold just slide the box out and ship it.
An alternative to pool noodles, but similar in idea, are plumbing pipe foam wrap tubes. They often come in bags, are about the size of pool noodles and like noodles, are often put on clearance at the end of season or can even be found in the goodwill. They’re just not as colorful!
"We really need to fix our shoe shelves" he says as the camera pans to a flip flops and socks situation. lol. Love the content. Y'all have been super inspiring while building up my ebay side biz.
I have made a franken box out of the long triangle priority boxes, to ship large golf drivers. It is pretty easy to make a square with two of them, and if you need the box to be longer, just cut one in half and make a square cap. works great and with practice only takes about 5 minutes or less.
Josh, between you, GaryVee, and Froggy Flips. I can really see myself making something out of this flipping stuff. I’m doing this to be able to help pay off my wife’s student loans, and overall safe money and make money. First day in, me and my wife went to a estate sale and 4 yard sales, bought 2 vintage cameras for $7.50 a piece, flipping on eBay for $40 a piece. Bought a Apple Magic Mouse 2, listed, sold the same day for $40! Thank you for helping me stop worrying about this. Ready to make a change in my life
Hey Josh, great vlogs! Love the various garage sales, thrift/overstock store, and pallet buys/hauls. Question: When packaging big items (e.g. golf clubs, bats) for shipping, where do you get the boxing supplies from? Thank you Sir.
that's great that Haley is listing, cleaning and pic taking and other administrative stuff. can't imagine having to buy the stuff and do all that then ship and have sanity. it's great you can do it together and then she can learn the ins and outs of the purchase as ya go along
Sams Club has some really good wire shelving that is perfect for shoes. Man I love your content. I’m a new reseller and am loving the process. You are really inspiring. Thanks for what you do.
My husband Kevin and I had a suggestion for your shoe rack situation...cinder block/pavers and wood planks. Sturdy, spacious, modifiable and able to hold the quantity of shoes you typically have. Love watching you both!
Have you considered Rubbermaid FastTrack shelving for you shoe storage? The system is sold at Lowes. You basically buy vertical bars that mount to your wall, then you buy shelf brackets that hook into the vertical bars, then a mesh shelf that sits on and connects to the brackets. It isn't the cheapest solution, but it will hold all of your shoes without having to cut any wood. I have used it in my closets for years and it is a really good system.
Storage tip for shoes-check what size the average pair is as a square say 10" x 10" buy some double wall cardboard boxes at say 10" cubed and tape them together,I have a unit which is 80" tall x 96" wide and I can fit 72 pairs of shoes. If you tape it together in say blocks of 4 you will be amazed how strong and free standing it is.To be safe I added a couple of top brackets.Hey presto you have a multi-use pigeon hole rack.Alan.Nottingham.UK

Boxed shoes simply get stacked on the same shelf. I like metro style racks best, since even when loaded the py can be equipped with casters to wheel around. Your new shelves are MDF (medium density fiberboard) aka Particle Board.

The shirt is great - but don't want or need one for myself - but it's perfect for you! I love the fact that Hayley (how do you spell her name, anyway?) is helping so much - glad she is helping you get those things all listed and I agree - getting clothes into your inventory is a good move, IMO. I know some things like Pendleton men's shirts - almost impossible to find anymore!

What about putting the shoes in boxes like you do in the guest room & have 2-3 boxes per shelf. Or putting a metal rack like the opposite wall and doing the boxes as well.
Use shoe racks that hang on closet doors . They are made out of cloth or metal and hold 10 to 16 pairs . Your wall above your shoe shelves would be used and they don't stick out from the wall as far as your shelves . Down side you'll need a ladder .
I'm a bit older than you both and just love you alls energy together. I'm new to the channel and will definitely be binge watching because I'm very interested in doing this myself.. When it comes to clothes or hats do you all steam the items before sending them or just let the person know It's as is how does one go about taking care of that end of things. Can you suggest the video that may be already touched on this I can go back and look at it. Thanks for putting out such a good video.
@@HairyTornado Wow that was quick thank you guys for responding back so soon. Should I just use a steam wand or put it in the wash? Do you have any suggestions for a steam wand if that's what you use. I'm trying to get the hubby on this train as well hopefully he sees me doing well he'll jump on board as well.
Looks like Hayley is learning quite quickly from the master. She looks like she enjoys it and her pictures that she takes makes the sale. Hopefully you are paying her well or she might open her own store lol.
Your bin lettering system is a simpler, but similar system to mine, but one thing I do is pull a partially empty bin off the rack and have it open, over by my laptop to set items directly in as I list. Then when that one is full, I go get another with empty space and repeat. Having a bin I’m filling out of the rack and close at hand saves me steps carrying items to the bin rack each time.
Item's weight + 2lbs on items like VCRs/Boomboxes and other bulky/heavy items in the Calculated Shipping tool is all I'd do. Otherwise I'd do free shipping. Back in the old days of eBay they'd push Sellers to do Free Shipping (now they pushing Free Returns).. so Free Shipping got more traffic. After years of doing both, found out it doesn't matter. Just kept shipping on big items, for the reasons you mentioned to avoid issues on P.O. Boxes and long distances.
Hello Josh and Haley; option for the shoe shelf, try Ikea's Omar system. Metal open shelving where you can add height or width with addition units and very stable.
For golf clubs you can also custom make a box for it or wrap it with thick bubble wrap and then tape white paper to the bubble wrap. It'll take a little more time, but sometimes you have to be creative to get the job done.
Hey guys, I have very limited space for storing shoes and I found some "shoe slot organizers" at my local bins store. I loved them so much I ordered more on amazon. They allow you to slide one shoe under the other and double your storage space. You can find 20 packs for $24-$29. They might not be the cheapest solution, but they really helped. Just thought I'd mention. Have a great day!
Nice tip on the pool noodles to cushion items. TY I ship small packages and my OCD makes me put clear tape over the shipping labels to help from peeling off. Its worth the extra peace of mind. Good Show. :)
@@HairyTornado I have only used a regular one but have seen what you mean with supermarket receipts and lottery tickets in my shirt pocket turning black.
I do the same thing with shipping... I limit it to GSP & the lower 48 states, etc... but in addition to that I made $5, $10, $15 flat rate shipping fee profiles. So, for stuff under a pound it's usually free, jeans & shoes is $5, VCR's is $10, and large boxes of cookware sets or heavier/larger things gets $15. Doesn't cover all the costs, but I think it's better than eating it all or having to charge the buyer for all of it which could turn them off from buying it in the first place.
I watched this video on my tv like I have been the past few videos. Remembered I can’t comment on the tv so here I am rewatching the video so you get that watch tv and I can comment!! I’m glad to see Hailey in the videos! She looks like she is enjoying it:)
One thing that really helped me with my inventory with bulky and shoes is a Gaylord bins. Yes that’s the name but they hold so much and I have multiple of them in my garage and storage units, big time life saver!
Hey Josh, I've been kinda prepackaging everything into whatever box or mailer that the items fit. I'm trying to have everything ready to just print labels and go. Part of the reason I'm dying this is because I've got absolutely kids that like to get into things. Having them prepackaged seems to deter them for now. I'm wanting to start a bin system but don't have an official spot to keep my stuff in yet. Ii just kinda took over the front dining room for the moment.
Pre-packing is fine it just takes up more space than we have at the the moment. And we get people that buy multiple items sometimes so if everything was pre-packed, we would have to open those items and re-pack them in a bigger box.
Hint- instead of using pool noodles stop at hardware or big box home store and pickup foam pipe insulation. It's already spilt and the split has adhesive on the edge's.
Hey HT ..... Y You should turn your clubs upside down in bag before shipping. Most tour caddies do this...because most baggage handlers don't care about the clubs...just ssying....your wife is a great addition to your channel and content...y'all rock!!!!
@@HairyTornado yes..they will fit...the grips will not snap off...the heads will...tempered steel and graphite are brittle...you well see, makes packaging easier also....
I have enjoyed it all! Love how Haley is picking up on women’s wear and things! Best of luck in that direction! You all have fun and be blessed!💖💖🙏🙏✌️🦴
Josh, double check how the IRS looks at charging vs free shipping. Ebay’s 1099 sent will help lower taxable income if shipping is charged. Otherwise you better keep great records with RECEIPTS. The discounts from Ebay dont match true shipping costs to the buyer. Hint*
@@susanzacher3375 : yes ma’am. However every month (around the 15th) ebay sends a monthly income statement. Print it to keep records. Double check that ebay isnt claiming income (even when they charge fees against it) on shipping. It is a cost of goods or fees when doing your taxes. Your 1099 should only be total sales.
Shoe storage , have you checked a used fixture store? There is one in Raleigh , I know its a ways from you but also I know when I lived in Georgia there were several there I used to buy from so I am sure SC has those also.
I use a tube box for drivers and put a small square box not necessarily priority mail over the head (bubble wrap on the head first) and affix it to the tube. I stick some priority labels on that "extra part" and call it a day. Then I don't have to spend money on a special box... 🙂
Yes, sharp vcrs sell really well. I get them any chance I get, especially with the remotes. There are only 3-4 brands of vcrs i will pick up and sharp is one of them
When I have an oversized item, like your VCR, set for FedEx (UPS is the same) and a USPS PO Box address pops up, I go out with a message to the buyer and ask them to provide a physical street address for shipping, pointing out the part of the listing that says it will ship FedEx and remind them that FedEx can’t use PO Boxes and they’ve always provided one. If they ever do say no, I would just cancel the sale, citing the reason as a problem with the buyers address, so I don’t get a service ding on my stats.
I love seeing married couples working together 👍👍

I'm wanting to start a bin system but don't have an official spot to keep my stuff in yet. Ii just kinda took over the front dining room for the moment.
Pre-packing is fine it just takes up more space than we have at the the moment. And we get people that buy multiple items sometimes so if everything was pre-packed, we would have to open those items and re-pack them in a bigger box.
@@HairyTornado yeah I try not to completely tape or seal them up just in case that happens! Lol!
The guy at the Post Office told me about using the two boxes. The pool noodle idea is fantastic.
Watching from Arkansas keep up the good work and new videos coming.
Hint- instead of using pool noodles stop at hardware or big box home store and pickup foam pipe insulation. It's already spilt and the split has adhesive on the edge's.
It would still need to be reinforced with tape. And I found like 30 pool noodles at the bins for like $6
They are 8-10ft long for$1-1.50 for future reference. They are charcoal grey in color.
Could you make a slanted shoe shelves to help with space?
You can tell she is so motivated awesome
Hey HT .....
Y
You should turn your clubs upside down in bag before shipping. Most tour caddies do this...because most baggage handlers don't care about the clubs...just ssying....your wife is a great addition to your channel and content...y'all rock!!!!
Not sure what you mean? Upside down? With the heads inside the bag? I doubt they would fit like that
@@HairyTornado yes..they will fit...the grips will not snap off...the heads will...tempered steel and graphite are brittle...you well see, makes packaging easier also....
Good job guys. Literally and actually..
Hint*
Can you please explain more about what you mean? Doesnt Ebay only send the actual money earned after fees to the IRS?
@@susanzacher3375 : yes ma’am. However every month (around the 15th) ebay sends a monthly income statement. Print it to keep records. Double check that ebay isnt claiming income (even when they charge fees against it) on shipping. It is a cost of goods or fees when doing your taxes. Your 1099 should only be total sales.
The neck of the guitar comes apart for easier shipping. there is a button the back that you have to press and twist
I'm pretty sure I mentioned that.
Canvas storage totes will hold at leaat 15 pairs of shoes and use the same system ypu use for the totes.
I'd rather spend $2 on a box than spend an extra 7 minutes trying to fanangle some frankenbox together, personally
@@HairyTornado Understood. Your time is worth way more than $2 🙂
Really liked this video!! It had a little bit of everything.. 😊👍
Haha I saw your Dave Ramsey on the computer in the background. I love watching your videos and I love watching Dave Ramsey!
He's like the Jerry Springer of the middle class (with a financial focus) lol
Great stuff loved the video. I really need to get started.
Yes, sharp vcrs sell really well. I get them any chance I get, especially with the remotes. There are only 3-4 brands of vcrs i will pick up and sharp is one of them
Awesome y'all, great team!!!
I use to watch Zena every week. Loved that show
Love the video & that goodwill shirt..
Awesome sales! Thank you for the S/O!!
