Gentaro does not play with Kintaro outdoors, probably because of the cold weather. He does play with Kintaro indoors.
Kintaro has no choice but to stay close to Mother Gentaro when he is outdoors.
Mother Genki was getting fruits in a special place where no other members were around. Maybe there is a reason because it is winter.

Father MOMOTARO ♂(2000/7/3)
He is hesitant in new situations and is a loner.
His father died before he was born, and he had never spent time with a silverback.
He had already turned into a silverback by the time he was 10 years old.
He is struggling with unfamiliar child-rearing.
MOMOTARO's father is BIJU.
MOMOTARO's mother is MOMOKO
Mother GENKI ♀ (1986/6/24)
She is 14 years older than Momotaro and has a role to support the whole family mentally.
She has had a tumultuous and eventful life.
She has returned to her birthplace, Kyoto City Zoo.
She had never been blessed with a baby but after meeting Momotaro,
she had two sons.
She is a very maternal female gorilla.
GENKI's father is MAC.
GENKI's mother is HIROMI.
First son GENTARO, male (2011/12/21)
He was separated from his mother Genki soon after he was born.
Genki's milk production was not very good.
He was raised by his keeper for his first10 months.
Because of this, he is very fond of humans.
His face is so expressive, and everyone enjoys watching him.
Second son KINTARO ♂ (2018/12/19)
He is just very strong-willed and independent.
He has big eyes and long eyebrows.
The way he plays a lot with his brother Gentaro makes everyone smile.
We can't wait to see what kind of gorilla he'll become!

Fond memories of baby Gentaro playing with the blue bucket 🪣 wearing it for a hat. It has been such a privilege to watch him grow into the beautiful boy he has become. 🙋♀️🦍🇬🇧

So many memories. Baby Gentaro getting to see and touch Genki through the barred door. Returning to his family. Child Gentaro playing with Momotaro. Then becoming a big brother. Gentaro will always hold a place in my ❤.

Toronto zoo gives their gorillas shopping bags with goodies. It would be so funny to see Genki or Momo walking around collecting those bags!😅

I'm glad to see that Genski is eating a lot of fruit 🍓🍑🍓🍑 she needs the vitamins, since she is old, and it's new and she likes it.I was beginning to think she didn't care for fruit ,I seen her eat apples last week, the first time I seen her eat fruit, but alot of the time she picks up food, what ever food she comes across 1st, and don't look hard for anything different.Gemtaro, hormones are raging and doesn't feel like playing.A normal day, for the Momentaro family, not as noisy, so they are not stressed, and can rest.

❤ The Momotaro gorilla 🦍 family is out for breakfast 🥞 this morning 😊 Genius Gentaro is up 🔝 pulling the rope with the tire 🛞 on it getting out pellets which are beans 🫘 and they love 💗 it now he’s on the ground looking for more 😊 Handsome Kintaro and Pretty Mommie are up top 🔝 on the side eating tree 🌳 leaves 🍃🍀🍃 Kintaro has gotten some Italian Rye grass 😊 he loves it 😊 Handsome Gentaro is in and out the door 🚪 playing ❤ Genki and Kintaro back and forth up top 🔝 🤡 clowning with each other 😂 having fun 🤩 Handsome Momotaro is in and out of the door 🚪 and when he’s on the ground’s he is sitting by the tire 🛞 or walking 🚶♂️ around checking out everything 😊 Genki can’t wait 😜 to go back inside 😊 she’s cold 🥶 they finally all went back in😊 Gentaro went back in a little later 😊 it’s all good 👍🏼 💤 nap time Genki is napping 💤 and Kintaro is napping 💤 with her❤ they both look 👀 so cute 🥰 now Pretty Genki is back on the grounds at the Zookeepers window 🪟 getting her new 🆕 snacks way to go 😊 nice handsome Gentaro is napping 💤 on the hammock in the other room just napping 💤 away 😊 and when he wakes up ⬆️ from his nap 💤 he’s just yawning 🥱 and stretching away looking 👀 like a big pretty baby gorilla 🦍 😊 very cute and nice 😊 Mommie is outside in the wooden heated 📦 looking 👀 for more pellets 🫘 to eat 😂 you go Genki from the Troop Hood Block 😂 it’s all good and the Momotaro gorilla 🦍 family had a great day 😊 be blessed 😇 and love 💕 one 1️⃣ another ❤ peace ✌️ out ❤

I thought I read she was getting a special diet due to being a bit overweight. If true I wonder if this is part of that diet. Either way, it’s nice to see her get some treats.

@@Gorilla-Life 一番遠い場所だし、今は草木も増えて見え憎いですよね。本当にこうして望遠レンズで撮影してくれるおかげで老眼の私はとても助かります。
体重が戻ってきたので、ペレットを少しずつ減らす予定と言ってたから、代わりのリンゴやかぼちゃなのかな。
不要にモモタロウを怒らせないように、飼育員もゲンキも気づかいしているのでしょうね。ゲンキは賢い女性ですよね。
なんにせよ、元気さんがキーパーからご褒美をもらっているのはうれしい！元気さんが鉄棒に上がって触れ合う回数が増えたのも嬉しい。安井さんが元気さんの指をマッサージしてくれる日が来るといいな。いつも痛くないか気になります。
