This group is tight! They have their fights but at the end of the day if an outside factor is hurting one of them the whole group suffers. You can see they barely had any food and immediately went down to check on Nene Now the zoo needs to do something asap. Even a flu could kill an older gorilla, they gotta act right away to make dure she's hydrated at the very least

Very difficult to see and hear that she is not eating. Understanding her age we know she is very much a senior and past her prime. Nene receives the very best care. She appeared to have a mini stroke. Scowling like headache. If she had her own quiet roo. With that beautiful little boy she woukd be happy abd all favorite food and kids at intervals not fighting. Her son understands the most now. At one point Nene looked very ill. But she is a fighter and very strong. I love her and wish for a peaceful calm passing when God calls her home to her family.
I am genuinely concerned about Nene❤🦍 I know she's very old and i pray the zoo keepers are monitoring her. I would be devastated if something happened to her. It's really concerning to watch Nene, not eat anything and she looks very sad. Almost like she's lost her will. When she doesn't eat, she also gets dehydrated, which is very dangerous. She is my favorite, could watch Nene eat all day.

I do not agree, up until jow they have always been wonderful from the time they took Annie and hand raised her. Right now, though, THIS is not care, it os neglect. Yes, she bullied Annie all her life, but THAT is not the issue here. The issue is that NeNe is old, sick, and frail, and SOMETHING needs to be done. If I could speak Japanese I'd be calling that zoo to find out what is going on. To remind them the wotld is watching. So update, or explain what is going on!! Hmm Nene was moving very slowly and even stumbled, I think the vets need to investigate Nene and do bloods, x rays or scans. She is getting old and all sorts of things could be happening. Don't just stand by and watch her starve and or suffer.
Is a veterinarian treating her at all? I would think with her lack of eating and symptoms they would have separated her and given a good physical exam and fluids given by now.

As she’s elderly she probably has joint pain from arthritis and just like with humans, some days it’s worse than other days. Possibly they’re giving her pain medication, but it can cause fatigue and lack of appetite.
8:49 I haven't seen this face before.... we always see them purse their lips and stand on their knuckles then do a small charge when they are demanding or protesting, but I haven't seen the top lip purse and bottom teeth showing before. Annie is quite a unique one though tbf!
I remember a few years back Momotaro had become sick and lost a lot of weight eventually he had to be separated from the rest for treatment….those boys became so sad and lost weight from not eating especially Kintaro. No matter how hard Genki tried to encourage and support her boys she couldn’t get the youngest to snap out of the grief he was going through! I seriously thought he would die.

Here is an example of MY issue on a smaller scale. My dog sprained her foot/leg to the Vet right away. Rest and very little movement, liquid anti inflammatory, and gabapentin that would knock me out. It is keeping her less active so she can heal. They could do that here. NeNe did have a gastro issues when the kids were toddlers and we didn't think she was going to make it then, but she did. If you want lots of vidoes on this family and want old videos on them search I Bosch I on youtube there are 3000 plus videos. I put a messages there too but whether they see it or not I have no idea. NeNe has been on anti inflammatory and pain meds for a long time, but this is pissing me off!!!

BUT I asked if anyone in Japan could go to the Zoo and bring it to the attention that NeNe is hurt and the Zoo is doing nothing. That we are all watching this happen and ate not there to do anything. I Bosch I is where there are over 3000 videos. If anyone wants to go and send messages too please do!!! I don't know what else to do. People in Japan watching this need to go to the administration and this Zoo, or the media. Taking videos us fine. But something needs to be done. I really despise thos Zoo right now!! It is not an old age illness, excessive heat, or an infection. You can see a dirty arm, she was dragged from that side on the ground in a hard attack (13:41). She has multiple bite marks on the upper left with torn tissue, that mark on the knuckle is swelling from compression of bites, typical of the silverback. They're using it like a punchball.🙁🙁
I have some medical background. She does not show signs of a stroke. I notice wounds on her left side. Also one of the videos I saw vomit on her chest and left shoulder. If she does not eat or drink she can become lethargic and weak. I have no idea what the medical plan is for her. If she is surrounded by family members they cannot isolate her so the keepers can intervene. Weakness can be debilitating and can be mistaken for depression. I also dont know the plan of this zoo. Will they let her go her natural course because of her advanced age. Personally I would give her comfort measures. Iv fluids, pain medication for her hip , and clean her up. The question is when to intervene. I wondered when the family was upstairs and Nene was downstairs in the basement , that might have been and opportunity to intervene on her behalf. But they did not intervene and I dont know their plan or intentions. I love Nene and I cried, then I let go of outcome and just hoped that whatever happens she would be comfortable. She deserves dignity whether she lives or not. 💜💙💚💛🧡❤
What is cruel is that it is unsafe for them in the wild because they are poached for meat and their numbers are way down. This zoo is doing all it can.

It starts with humans, otherwise there shouldn't be the issue It is. Plus captive born could not be released they are dependant on humans to survive...it's a double edged sword.

It is keeping her less active so she can heal. They could do that here. NeNe did have a gastro issues when the kids were toddlers and we didn't think she was going to make it then, but she did. Important!! I found the site on here I used to watch this family on and I don't if they do videos anymore. BUT I asked if anyone in Japan could go to the Zoo and bring it to the attention that NeNe is hurt and the Zoo is doing nothing. That we are all watching this happen and ate not there to do anything. It is not an old age illness, excessive heat, or an infection. You can see a dirty arm, she was dragged from that side on the ground in a hard attack (13:41). She has multiple bite marks on the upper left with torn tissue, that mark on the knuckle is swelling from compression of bites, typical of the silverback. They're using it like a punchball.🙁🙁
I did notice the wounds on her left side
She has several wounds on her arm and leg on the left side. It makes me wonder if she and Annie had a true fight and this is the result.

I have some medical background. She does not show signs of a stroke. I notice wounds on her left side. Also one of the videos I saw vomit on her chest and left shoulder. If she does not eat or drink she can become lethargic and weak. I have no idea what the medical plan is for her. If she is surrounded by family members they cannot isolate her so the keepers can intervene. Weakness can be debilitating and can be mistaken for depression. I also dont know the plan of this zoo. Will they let her go her natural course because of her advanced age. Personally I would give her comfort measures. Iv fluids, pain medication for her hip , and clean her up. The question is when to intervene. I wondered when the family was upstairs and Nene was downstairs in the basement , that might have been and opportunity to intervene on her behalf. But they did not intervene and I dont know their plan or intentions. I love Nene and I cried, then I let go of outcome and just hoped that whatever happens she would be comfortable. She deserves dignity whether she lives or not. 💜💙💚💛🧡❤
I find it sad to see them confined in a zoo. Animal cruelty.
What is cruel is that it is unsafe for them in the wild because they are poached for meat and their numbers are way down. This zoo is doing all it can.

@@sassyt1545well, it's hard to have it both ways...their natural home is overrun with humans and their livestock. And the poachers kill them for meat and 💰. It starts with humans, otherwise there shouldn't be the issue It is. Plus captive born could not be released they are dependant on humans to survive...it's a double edged sword.
