Thanks! I've been playing for a long time, but I remember how difficult it was at first to sing and play at the same time. The key is to switch from actively focusing on your hands to using muscle memory. You need to trick your brain into taking care of the accompaniment for you. I would recommend practicing guitar as you watch TV - or you can try playing your guitar as you have a conversation with someone. The more you practice, the easier it will be to focus on two things at once. Good luck!
