  • Spending the night in the New Zealand bush under my tarp. The tracker was put to work harvesting my firewood and I enjoyed a nice campfire lit with my flint and steel.

    Today mate I am just watching your vid and enjoying it so far I see you have the tracker and what look like a silky saw would that have not been easier to cut down the tree rather than hacking it with the tracker? Also when you leave your camp site to fetch wood, miss and or water do you ever worry about not finding your way back? The reason I ask is I am also into solo overnights and want to expand my skills. Keep up the excellent work cheers Bro

    • @BackcountryKiwi
      @BackcountryKiwi  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah for sure it would have been easier to take down the tree with my saw but using the tracker was more fun 😁.
      When I'm away from camp exploring, gathering fire wood etc, I try to keep in mind the general direction of where my camp is. I've only had one scare where I was wandering around for a bit trying to find my camp but apart from that I haven't had any problems. Best of luck out there bro, you'll love it 👍
