    I have a Yamaha Kodiak 700 SE with a moose plow setup on it I can’t wait to test it out this winter! The only thing I wish I had was the power angle 📐 maybe next summer I’ll look into getting it next. I chose Yamaha over Polaris because I had nothing but bad luck with them from electrical issues and then carb issues, granted my bikes were older models and I’m sure they got better with time and tech, but I had an even older Yamaha bike that was pretty beat up when I got it and then I put it to the trenches on my property!!! I own 82 acres a combo of woods, fields, mudd, rocks you name it and the Yamaha just kept going! Whereas all my sportsmans would just sit because it would be always something else wrong with them I had a 3 of them 😅 and my Yamaha was a warrior 350 with reverse and it was 2wd! 😂 I borrow my friends Kodiak 450 4x4 to do some property maintenance work around here and I said yea that’s it time to upgrade my bike game a bit so in march of this year i decided to get myself a brand new one from the showroom at my local dealer, it was nice and easy and they even gave me a discount on my plow! I did the install myself it was pretty easy enough for me to figure out. 😂 plus I also like that they warranty the belt for 10 years! 😅 pretty cool bike tho I think for my next adventure I might look into getting a new sportsman and give my Kodiak to my wife if she wants it or if not I’ll keep it around for friends and family who want to ride with me in the summer to help me out on the property lol cool video tho!

    Nice little set-up. I plow a Polaris Sportsman 800 twin with a Click n go plow. You'll get better in time. Use the angle more and you won't keep driving over the same spot.

    I put a 60 “ inch and a half abs pipe cut length wise just enough to cut thru the one side then I slide it over my cutting edge on the blade. Works awesome on gravel driveways. Does no damage to lawns and just rides in the gravel till I get a good base. Stays in place to

    Just picked up a 60" plow for my 850 Trail... Can't wait to try it out! Especially for the small storms or the mixed ice/sleet/snow/rain (i.e "crap") that we sometimes get which bogs down the snowblower. Great ideas and thanks!

    This machine pushes a lot given it's fairly lightweight! A lot of power, we can see it. Then those tires are required to help for traction. It seems they could eat through any snowbank! Thanks!

    I have to ask. Where did you get the reverse light? It appears to be in the shape of Polaris’s OEM mustache light but obviously larger that comes on the Polaris RZR. I would love to add this to my 24. 850… Thanks in advance. Great videos by the way!

    Hey John. Thanks for taking the time to post. Can you give a long term review on the poly edge. I have new plow on order and debating getting the edge. Had a rubber edge on a truck plow years ago and it was terrible. Im hoping the poly is better scrapping down. Rubber left an inch of snow/ice. Thanks man and happy new year.

    • @JohnFrancoNH
      @JohnFrancoNH  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey John - love the videos you've done. I did get the poly blade + fall-line poly edge too. You mention the Auto Stop Fairlead Switch but I notice that you don't actually have it on your xp1000. What's your opinion on that option? I do think the stock fairlead spindles are better for winching over just the slot the auto stop switch provides. Too bad you can't have both mounted. Just have a winch saver but thinking of getting the auto-stop switch since I may have others plowing.

    Anybody heard anything good about the Boss V plow 5’6” V-XT for ATV’s? It doesn’t require a winch, hydraulic based, control switch goes on handlebars. It’s $4,600 not including install. But damn it looks real legit.

    Nice. Is that cutting edge your number one choice for a gravel driveway, at this point over a pvc pipe, fashioned to fit on the bottom of the plow? It looks like it would be a game changer for gravel driveways where you don’t want to make a mess.

    • @JohnFrancoNH
      @JohnFrancoNH  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Sorry John, But as a Plastic Surgeon for over thirty years... I can't tell you how bad an idea it is to stand whole plowing on your atv. I 've reconstructed dozens (maybe hundreds) of smashed faces/ broken or dislocated shoulders and hips as well as... probably going to be your favorite.............Smashed Testicles....yes, all collected by folks who where riding their atv's in a standing position and the atv coming to a rapid stop for some reason (like something you weren't expecting under the snow while plowing. I wish you all the best my friend......so please just sit down and enjoy the ride.

    • @JohnFrancoNH
      @JohnFrancoNH  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I totally agree thats why i added the edge markers/rods so i can see the orientation of the plow sitting down. Its risky business standing up, no way to stop from tumbling over. Thanks for watching!
