    hey this is just a question not related to the vid, but do you happen to have any predictions on what kinda questions they could ask for transition metals and amount of substances? im thinking maybe titration for AOS?

    • @chemistrytutor
      @chemistrytutor  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, regular titration seems likely I agree. That way % errors can come in too.
      I'd think Catalysts is likely too. Maybe autocatalysis.
      You could potentially tie TM in with Electrode potentials and isomerism as well

      I've got an alkanes reaction video (free radical substitution) and some multiple choice walkthroughs about each...

    For the amount of substance required practical 4 what could they ask us? I'm finding it difficult to identify unknown compounds. Could you please briefly go over the practical for tomorrow. I would very much appreciate it.

      have a feeling they gonna have an amount of substances question linked to the transition metals and we gonna have to like balance ionic equations and stuff like that

    • @chemistrytutor
      @chemistrytutor  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I think that RP4 could be to do with collecting a mass of ppt and then working back to deduce a mass of solid reactant and then work out a formula or a percentage mass. I'll see if I can make a short video about this...

    I have an urgent question can you draw mechanisms in pencil in the exam? @The Chemistry Tutor

    • @chemistrytutor
      @chemistrytutor  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the official answer is no.
      The reason they say this is normally the question gets scanned in and marked electronically, so if your pencil line is feint then it might not show up.
      Markers do sometimes report it if they think the scan hasn't worked properly.
      So you probably can. But only do it for the arrows and make sure it stands out as much as your symbols

      @@AM-hn7gj like I say, 99% it'll be fine. Just don't use a weak and feint pencil
