I never had the chance to visit Kerala even though I am from Hyderabad, Telangana, India. It's my dream to travel there and taste pakka Kerala food having made with coconut oil. I hope I could visit Kerala soon. I'm so much invested in your Kerala vlogs sir, thank you very much. Have a great stay and take care. Come back again and visit Karnataka, North East Indian states too.

Kerala is the birthplace of martial arts. it is where the mother of all martial arts kalaripayattu was born. It's gaining in popularity because it uniquely combines defence techniques, dance, yoga and healing systems. lots of people still think that martial art was invented in China. actually an Indian monk named Bodhidharma who brought Buddhism to China practiced kalaripayattu and he taught some of it's practice to his disciples in china.

That is correct but it is only a tiny part of the Indian culturage heritage copied by the Chinese. Feng Shui was based on the Indian Geomancy called Vastu. The fisrt Chinese Opera Pu Tow was based on a South Indian play. As Hus Shih (the famous scholar who was KMT ambassador to the USA) stated in his Harvard lecture 'The Indianization of China, India conquered China for twenty centuries without sending a single soldier as the Chinese voluntarily copied so much from India over many centuries - primarily through their adoption of Indian Buddhism. In fact, Wooden Block Printing of books (developed from textile printing) actually originated in India and was introduced to China by Indian Buddhists. The oldest extant printed book was found in Sogdian (in East-Turkestan which is now occupied by China). It was printed in 868c.e. when Sogdiana was under Persian rule, and is a Chinese translation of the Indian Diamond Sutra. The Chinese translated thousands of Indian (mainly Buddhist texts over many centuries).
The Chinese pictogram language was not conducive to the development of abstract concepts and Philosophy and Logic. The Chinese managed to develop logical thought through the incorporation of over 35,000 Indian words into Chinese including Mandarin from the Sanskrit Mantrin (adviser to King). Hu Shih wrote a book on the Development of Logical Methods in Ancient China, and Japanese philosopher Nakamura also noted that there was little logical method in China or Japan before they learnt Indian Philosophical thought and utilized Indian words.Hence the Chinese peddle pithy metaphorical proverbs and the early Jesuits in China wrote that, unlike India [where conceptual Philosophy actually originated with the Upanishads long before the Hellenic Miletians in Ionia such as Thales learnt from India via the Persian Empire] , the Chinese did not have advanced systems of Philosophy.
Famous scholar and inventor Lin Yutang wrote, in The Wisdom of India and China, that India was China's teacher in so many things such as Philosophy, Grammar and many branches of Mathematics such as Trigonometry and Quadratic Equations. In fact, again - contrary to Western mythology - what Renaissance Europe called 'Modern Maths' (the new Arithmetic using the decimal Place Value System with Zero; Trigonometry (Aryabhatta), Modern Algebra (copied by Persian al-Khwarizmi - who also translated Indian Arithmetic - from Hindu Bijaganita) and Algebraic Analysis, Negative Numbers, Imaginary Numbers and even Infinitesimal Calculus (Bhaskara II and Madhava) all originated in India - especially in Kerala! The Westerners [and modern Muslims] peddle myths that the Number System and Algebra was Islamic (as they translated the Arabic translations). Heliocentric models were present in Aryabhatta's astronomy and other Hindu astronomy which was translated into Latin and Greek long before Copernicus. As mathematician Charles Seife wrote, the new Physics of Descartes and Newton would have been impossible without Indian mathematics.

Kolukkumalai : It is home to the highest tea plantations in the world and to witness the sunrise on your very first visit itself is win win situation and luck is with you. In my past 15 visits I only got to see the sunrise 4 times as most the time it is very foggy. November - January is the best time to spot the sunrise. Though you should have climbed to Leopard rock as the view from it is spectacular!

you may have noticed the spirituality in people of South India. that is because India is the birthplace of spirituality. South India being protected by ocean from all sides it has not been invaded or ruled as many times as north India by foreigners. that is why culture art craft music dance architecture everything blossomed without being affected too much by outside influence. classical music and dance of South India are legendary and take years to be good at. Carnatic music is the most complex music on this earth. if you visit South Indian state of Tamil Nadu you will see many beautiful architecture made of granite rock thousands of years old been through earthquakes and still standing in one piece.

Great video! If you or your kids experience motion sickness during the ride due to bumpy roads or from the fumes of exhaust/petrol, then you should carry a bottle of Thums Up with you. It's the Indian version of Coke and is pretty effective at suppressing nauseous feelings. Get the bottle not the can. The cans taste slightly different but the bottles retain the original Thums Up flavour.
