Cordyline ( How to get free Cordyline plants ) Cordyline Australis UK (Cordylines - Cordyline Tree)

A Cordyline is a subtropical plant grown all over Europe and the UK and if you want free trees ( Cordylines) watch this video as I show you different ways for the propagation of your Cordyline Australis plant (Cordyline )
A Cordyline can come in many different sizes and colors but I have been successful using the methods within this video of obtaining new Cordyline plants for Cordyline red star, Cordyline Australis, and several other varieties of Cordyline tree.
Cordyline is a wonderful hardy plant that can turn any garden into a tropical oasis - hence why the Cordyline has become so popular in UK gardens.
As a plant, the Cordyline within our garden has survived temperatures down to minus 15 so it can be grown in most of northern Europe without a problem.
Although the Cordyline has a subtropical look they do not do well in tropical climates.
Cordyline Australis is also known as a Cabbage Palm or Cabbage palm tree.
I bought my first Cordyline back in 2006 and spent 300 Euros for a pair of Cordyline Australis about 6 ft tall for instant impact - these Cordyline are now over 20 ft high and over the last 14 years have supplied me with many free cordyline plants which I have either planted in our garden or given away to friends as gifts.
Cordyline Australis is also known as a Cabbage Palm and in the UK would be considered a plant to grow in a tropical garden landscape.
Over the last 10 - 15 years in the UK, Cordyline Australis and Cordyline red star have become very popular in public parks and private gardens.
Taking cuttings from a Cordyline is a very easy process as the Cordyline is a very hardy plant and within this video, I show both methods of taking Cordyline cuttings that I use.

I mentioned how hardy the Cordyline Australis is within the video in that it can take temperatures as low as -10 degrees which has made this particular Cordyline very popular in the UK and throughout Europe.
Cordyline australis allows you to create a tropical feel to your garden even if you are situated in the cooler climates of the UK and Northern Europe.
Over the last 14 years in Brittany France, we have experienced temperatures as low as -15 some nights and all our Cordyline plants have survived.

Cordyline Australis is a beautiful plant with an "exotic" appearance.

Mark great tutorial Cordyline australis are lovely plants.I bought 2 but something has happened to them dropping leaves and yellow into trunk.1 is in massive pot now with no leaves, the other is in a raised bed and not sure if there getting to much watering or not enough.

Glad you liked the tutorial they are wonderful plants sorry to hear your two are not doing well. I have grown them in pots to get them started but they really start to do well once in the ground
