I saw phase 7 livery on the second engine. And the birds chirping. Didn't hear any large industrial noises today. I'm sure you like that when you don't have to listen to that all the time.

There was a couple who drove down from western Nebraska that were here to pick up the 2 departing passengers. Neat to chat with them as well. The birds I didn't pick up on, but I am sure they were there. Have a lot of English Sparrows in the area now. It was too early for the Mid-West gang to be making noise today. They did have another flatbed of shop tools to off load when they started. I could even hear the horn music this morning. Have a great afternoon and evening back there. Morning Mike. A busy stop for #5, this morning. All that luggage coming off. I wonder if that's coming home from a summer trip visiting family, or coming to visit family for the summer? Anyway, #5 looked good coming out of a colorful sunrise. Heading into some weather, though, as she left for Denver. I am glad to hear that some of the chorus is still around. They had another ride of at least 2 hours into western Nebraska. We did get a rain shower from that cloud later in the morning. Not sure how much but it was nice while it lasted. Good Wednesday morning Mike! I see the clouds off to the west. I checked my Weather Bug app just before watching this video and it shows rain moving southeast. No lightning associated with it when I checked though. I heard the comment from the crew 😃 about the incoming storm. At least it was a quick stop this morning. It’s currently 72 degrees and sunny today and very little humidity! Supposed to be really nice today and tomorrow out here. Good! Because I have both today and tomorrow off so I can enjoy some pleasant weather! Hope it will be the same for you as well! Thank you for sharing this with us! Have a great Wednesday out your way Sir! Good muggy morning, Mark; U thank you for dialing in as well as the comments. I had checked the radar trace that showed that blob out near Empire Reservoir and not doing much. Rode the trike and wasn't too concerned until I went to my drive-thru coffee shop. There was a line of 6 cars, clouds getting darker, and then lightning, thunder, and the aroma of rain. At least it held off until I got home, and the trike covered up. I liked the nice shower that could have continued the rest of the day. Unfortunately, the sun is now shining by way of clear skies and the humidity levers have increased to that of the rain forest. I am in hopes of more rain later today. I hope that you do get some decent weather back there. You have had enough of the odd ball stuff. Anyway, enjoy the time and weather. Yep. No trees today. I did watch the video of 4014 coming east across Donner Pass and the tree strike that did some minor damage to a cylinder set. They were back in business about 3 hours later. There are some more coagulating as I write this so there may be more little black clouds on the future. There are a lot of English Sparrows that have set up shop around the depot. The roosters are still around as well. Now the bunnies are hopping about. Yep. Marne does catch the #6 trains when they are near on time. He posted an interesting one last night. They have been really late and past both a reasonable hour to be at the depot. It was nice to chat with all at the platform this morning. Makes up for the times that nobody is there. @@carolynsteed3649 I'd been pulling weeds on the west end of the platform since they started popping up. Then someone sprayed the ones growing along the north side of the platform and in the parking area, so I didn't touch them. I was in hopes that BNSF would run the sprayer train thru, but they didn't. So, the weeds on the west end are almost shoulder high. Is your broom one of the new-fangled models? I wondered about the suspension on those. 🤣😂🤣

Good morning Mike from 83 mid Tenn. Was that conductor Sammy? Whomever he showed excellent customer service unloading lots of baggage for the 2 customers detraining. Hope some of that storm/ rain comes your way. Wow with 95% capacity they could use more equipment if it was available that is .

Yes, he did an excellent job in handling the luggage and the two passengers down from the train. We did get smattering of rain and the humidity is now climbing toward 99% for the rest of the day. I was on the trike and thought I may get wet getting home from the drive-thru coffee shop. Saw plenty of lightning and heard thunder along with the aroma of rain but it held off until I had the trike wrapped up and under a tarp. It would be nice to see more rolling stock on these trains. I don't think they have any ready to go from Beech Grove though. One of these days after they get the ticket prices where they match business class airline seats. He was former USAF so we did have a good chat. I had seen the radar trace of the black cloud to the west in the video. It wasn't too threatening, yet we did get rain from it as it drifted to the east. Now the humidity is reaching the rain forest levels. LOL!
